Sunless Tanner Applicatio n and Brands
As much as I love to tan with the help of some sunscreen and beach rays in the spring I just don't have the time. I have used two different kinds: L'Oreal Subliminal Tan 360 Spray (which broke me out into a rash) and Clinique's Self Tanner (which I'm not a huge fan of but am trying to use up) So here are my two questions. First, what's the best self tanner out there that is easy to use and doesn't streak. My second question is I know you apply self tanner to the face, chest, arms, legs, and torso but how do you apply the lotion to your back? Do people simply not put in on their backs? Thanks for all of the input!

A spray mist applicator works great for those hard-to-reach areas like your back and to get an even application all over your legs (on the front and back both). Model Co Tan Airbrush In A Can goes on as a fine mist leaving you with a smooth, natural-looking tan. The deep golden pigment gives you an instant all-over healthy glow while the long lasting self-tanner develops underneath in a few hours. Tan delivers the perfect color with a 360-degree nozzle to cover all hard-to-reach areas and you can read more about it at: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P96122&
I hope this helps you. ![]()

Try using 'Tan Towels', they are my favorite self tanning product by far! Sephora sells Tan Towels for lighter or darker skin as well as full body or half-body applications. I have bought many boxes of Tan Towels for myself and my friends because they work so well and are unlike any other self tanning product I have tried. They are basically like a wet-nap soaked in self tanner. It is the easiest self tanner I have used, just exfoliate your skin before using then wipe the Tan Towel over your skin in a circular motion and wash hands off immediately after using. You will get a streak free and even tan and the towel has a nice citrus scent!

First of all, all self-tanners will streak if you put them on unevenly or on skin that has been improperly prepared. So first, you must exfoliate evenly. Use a good exfoliator and make sure you go over all the places you want to tan. After exfoiliating, allow skin to dry completely. You can put a small amount of moisturizer on your elbows, knees and ankles as these areas have thicker skin and tend to take up too much tanner. Apply tanner in small amounts and rub in thoroughly with a circular buffing motion, do one area at a time, then move on to the next. Rubbing in a line tends to cause streaking. A good way to do legs is to get a dollop of tanner and spread it all around, skipping ankles and knees. After you rub it around, use what's left on your hands to do your ankles and knees, they don't need much as they are thick skinned. After you have put tanner on, allow your skin to dry completely before you put clothes on and try to skip underwear if you can, since close fitting garments can rub off the tanner and cause streaks.
I have had good results with Fusion Beauty Glow Fusion Self-Tanner. Tanning your back is tricky, I have had sucess with the spray tanner and then going over it with a skinny towel held in both hands, but I sometimes get uneven results. Best bet it to have someone else help you.
Hope this helps and didn't wear you out reading it!
