I Dont really like the 24K gold brushes altough the powder brush is the only good one, The shadow brush feels as if it were a cheap concealer brush, OH and the concealer brush is okay as well, thoes are the two that i actually use the crease brush i use because its my only one and the foundation brush feels the worst.

I LOVE eye make up, so eye brushes are essential to me. I'm a huge fan of Sephora's Pro Collection line, #s 12, 14 and 15. Could not live without them.

Hi Beauty212,
I have a lot of different brushes that I use! I like to use synthetic for liquids because, its easier to clean and it goes on smoother. A lot of the brushes that I use come in this travel set. Sephora Collection Ultimate Travel Tool Brush Set. Its a great set that comes with everything that you would need!

well, I only have 1 dual end brush. Basically I store my clean make up brushes in a little drawer along with clean mascara wand etc, so there's no difference between dual end and normal.

For brushes I'm currently using (since I do make up once a week, I wash brushes once a month), I put them in a mug and the dual-ended brush lay across the top of the mug. I like it that way so it also functions as a divider between the eye/face and lips/liquid brushes. If you have numerous dual-end brushes....personally I would put them flat (prob in a drawer or on a paper towel, which would also be convinient for wiping off stuff as you are doing make up).

@ BeautyTester I have the 24k gold set too and I agree, that powder brush is a dream! It's really dense like a kabuki brush and also reminds me of the Too Faced Teddy Bear hair brushes. I use mine daily.
Having a lot of brushes is never a bad thing, especially when you're doing makeup on multiple people in a short period of time. Some of my kit staples include:

I have 3-4 different eyeliner brushes, but the Laura Mercier Flat Eyeliner Brush is my all time favorite by far. It's ideal for creating subtle or dramatically lined eyes with ease. It's stiff, yet still has the perfect amount of bend to give your lash line the coverage that you want.

The Sephora Collection Pro Blush applies cheek products beautifully. I love that this brush lightly applies color, so I won't have to worry about looking overly flushed, and of course if I want more coverage I can always add an extra layer or two.

The Sephora Collection Bronzing brush is the latest addition to my brush collection! I highly recommend it if you find yourselves really having to apply a lot of bronzer for your contouring to be noticeable.
I have a huge range of eye shadow brushes from a wide range of different brands. I typically reach for my stiff dome and flat eyeshadow brushes the most though. Oh! And the Sephora smudge brush, which is a dandy little thing that works really well for applying shadow into the inner eye, along the lash line, and for precision blending! It's a must for every makeup collection.

I like natural hair. I don't have specific brands since I have not-typical-asian features so I never knew where I will find my favorite, sometimes it takes a few use before I can tell. Some brushes are too sparse or have long bristles so they feel soft but are floppy. Some brushes are dense but too big/small for me or too scratchy.
These are the first make up brushes I brought (for $12) and I like the eyeshadow brush better than anything I've tried so far. The eyeshadow brush, 3rd one, from this Jerome Alexander brush set is my perfect lid color. The right softness, firmness and size for my eye lid. It also pick up colors well and make sure they end up on my lid and not the brush. The other ones are scratchy (especially when compared to my Sephora and Tokidoki brushes).
This is my second set of brush, from Sephora limited edition, and I love the angled eyeliner brush (last one) from this set). It's firm and tight enough to give me a precise line but the tips are soft enough they don't feel scratchy. This one's synthetic so I can use eyeshadow or liquid/gel eyeliner as eyeliners with this. The other brushes are a bit too big or floppy for my eyes/face.
This is my 3rd and latest set. I LOVE the powder brush from this set. It's very dense and firm but SO soft, reminds me of Too Faced teddy bear hair but this one is prettier (=P). It's the perfect length and size for my face and get a perfect amount of powder. The other brushes are just as firm but a bit sparse so they felt cheap.
I also have a couple stragglers like E.L.F eyeshadow, VS blush brush, and Sephora fan brush. They are ok, not the best or worst and I don't use them often. Those 3 brush from those 3 set are what I use every single time I do make up. I like sets cuz then I have back up so if I'm too lazy to wash brushes, no big deal, wash all 2-3 set together a month later.

I really love all the brushes Julie recommended--and the Stila brushes are great because they are dual ended. I like this foundation brush by them--it won best of Allure last year. It is great for getting in small spaces like your undereye and around the nose it gives a great finish to almost any liquid.

I cannot live without my Hourglass powder brush. It is sooo plush and lasts forever.

Once you find the brushes for you--you'll be a brush fanatic!
Cheers,
Helen

Hi,
I have tons of brushes in my kit, but I seem to gravitate to to the same ones. Here they are:
1. Sephora Collection- Crease brush #10 (http://www.sephora.com/pro-natural-crease-brush-10
This brush is great for blending and applying products lightly. I like it to fuse harsh lines and mainly to create a crease.
2. Sephora Collection Pro Gel Eyeliner Brush #26 (http://www.sephora.com/pro-gel-eyeliner-brush-26-P
I love this brush because it's so versatile. I use it to create a thin liner by using the slim side and also a thick line buy using teh widest part. I also find that it allows me to sculpt and create a liner shape easier.
3. Stila #24 Double Sided Illuminating Powder Brush(http://www.sephora.com/24-double-sided-illuminatin
I use this brush to contour my cheeks using the small end and then blend using the bigger section. I also use it to apply blush and bronzer. It is also great to apply creams.
4. Laura Mercier Smoky Eyeliner Brush (http://www.sephora.com/smoky-eyeliner-brush-P13024
Believe it or not, I use this brush to do my eyebrows. I LOVE eyebrows and I use this to help sculpt them. The reason why I favor this brush versus a slanted one is because it'll fill in my brows without making them too dramatic. And with the shape, it'll give me a full pointed brow end. And of course, it's great to use around the eyes to create a smokey affects using cream or powder.

Those are very nice looking brushes! But a little on the pricer side. :/ An investment definently. And another question, How do you store dual sided brushes? Because I use the sephora brush method, with bead in a glass jar. But you cant place dual ended brushes in the beads because it will damage the bristiles.. suggestions?
