Make up for fair skin, brown hair

I have fair (not porcelain) skin and medium-dark brown hair and hazel-mostly brown eyes. The makeup I am currently using:

foundation: Bare minerals fair and fairly light for summer

cover up: bare minerals bisque 1B

bronzer: bare minerals warmth (which I hardly use any of)

blush: bare minerals hint blush

mascara: Stila Major Major lash mascara

eye liner: Ulta automatic eyeliner in moss

eye shadow: Bobbi Brown bronze shimmer brick

lips: Tarte LipSurgence in Peaceful

I don't know if it's my application of the makeup, or if it's what I use, but I always feel extremely dull and washed out looking, even with blush on. I have come to the conclusion that it is not meant for me to be tan, so I am not judging myself based off of that. It's not just my skin, it's my eyes as well. I just feel as if nothing really pops. I like to look natural but sometimes I feel as if I look too "blah". I hope this is all making sense since you have no picture of me, but whatever advice you can give will help, whether it be new products or new techniques for application. Thanks so much!

Hi! I know you said not tan is for you but I have an idea. What you described is exactly how I am as well. I hate most bronzers because they make me look orange or a jersey shore cast member. I have the Stila Sun Pressed Bronzer and I add a little on my face and neck to give my skin a glow. I also use the major lash mascara which I think is awesome. Something you can do is add some eyeshadow that pops - something that isnt the natural brown or yellow color. I feel like that always dulls me out. I just bought the Lorac Baked eyeshadow, it comes in sets of 3's and I got the one that has black, white and blue. During the day I use just the white eyeshadow and to add pop I put the Lorac 3D lustre glitter on top and as long as you use a primer under your eyeshadow it stays all day and looks awesome! I suggest the sephora brand lip gloss because they are all awesome and you can get a fun shade to add some excitement. If you want somethig with some color the Kat Von D glosses are so good and they are on sale right now too! If you go to your local sephora you can also ask a specialist for some help - most of them are awesome and have good advice. Get out there and try something fun and new Smiley Happy good luck and hope some of that helped!
