Are you interested in swapping your Too Faced palette with the staphylococcus epidermis bacteria for my Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! mascara with pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria?
Do any of you use MUA (make-up alley) to swap cosmetics with other members? What are your thoughts on swapping used cosmetics? I've sent my used blushes, powders, eye liners ... but, I have only swapped for new (and still sealed) products or samples.
I can deal with snakes and spiders, but little growing organisms that are not usually visible to the naked eye? Umm, pass. Thank you.
What do you guys think? Are some products safer to swap than others? Is the danger of swapping overrated? underrated?

Hi Lindseykat,
I agree with Dianabt. I am not a fan of swapping make up with people I do not know. Like Diana said if I do receive something from a friend that is used, I cut the top offs of the lipsticks or disinfect it with alcohol. However, I still am not a fan of exchanging cosmetics products, you never know what might be lurking on there.

Hi Lindseykat,
Oh gosh, that is a rather intense description there! I personally am not a fan of swapping cosmetics that have been used. I DO swap them with a few close friends but mainly hair items and cosmetics only after swiping down eyeshadows, swiping and even cutting of lipstick tubes (and disinfecting with alcohol) but never mascaras or lipgloss tubes or anything else that can't be cleaned!
You can never be too sure what you are swapping for on the internet (and germs!) so I personally don't recommend it. If you do, I still recommend you stick to easily cleaned items (even pencils can't be TOO bad once you sharpen and disinfect them!) but remember.. do so at your own risk!
