Help me select a blush to add to my Chic Week order

Hello everyone,

I know that I want to add a blush to my order, I just don't know what to choose. I was thinking Benefit Hervana but not sure how similar it might be to Dandelion which I already own. Also, the packaging may be a little too teen scene for me.(Any thoughts about this product??)

I own plenty of coral and peach shade blushes, I recently purchased NARS gaity when it came out and like that quite a bit.Interested in other pinks.

I don't like powdery blushes and I don't like glitter though sheen I can tolerate.

I might like something mauve or lavendar but not quite as strong as NARS sin.

I look forward to the suggestions and thank you!

If you want a good mauve, try Clinique's Smoldering Plum. It may look deep or bold in the packaging but comes out very pretty on the cheeks. It's not matte, but it's not glittery either so no worries about looking childish or too sparkly.

I love the Illamasqua blushes. I am like most a makeup junky but when I found this line I found the most amazing colors. Check it out it's worth a look.

Can I third the Tarte blushes? I love them... they last all day- I have it in the bright pink shade- Amused. It's fantastic. I also have it in a shade that came in a set that they had once, I beleive it's called Sweet.

I just purchased tonight the Pantone blush- it's amazing. Like bananas amazing. I thought it was really going to be too weird, but it's a stunning shade when applied. I would go that route- this is a limited edition blush, so if you don't care for it- return it and go for the Tarte line.

Wow I had been thinking the same thing.  I own one of the Buxom Blushes, they have a satin finish and don't have any glitter int them.  They also have some really nice pink ones.  Sephora also has some nice looking blushes too.  I ordered one today so I'm not sure of the finish.  I like the blushes from Bare Escentuals, they have good color payoff but don't last long.  Hope that helps a little.

Hi mismisty,

I'm the same way, I have way too many blushes in the peach and coral family.

Hervana is a stunning multi-dimensional blush that is similar to Dandelion, but with a slightly deeper berry flush tint.

Have you considered a milkier pink blush? Tarte's Amazonian Clay Blush Dollface is a very light spring time pink that has buildable coverage and is still in the mauve family. Make Up For Ever carries a wide range of mauve and lavender toned blushes too.

Powder Blush

Pearly Antique Pink 136(#136)

Dusty Pink 112(#112)

Candy Pink 85(#85)

Pearly Rosewood 132(#132)

Dark Antique Pink 67(#67)

I can tell you what's on my wishlist, Tarte Amazonian Clay 12hr blush. It's got good/natural ingredients, supposedly long lasting, and I like the design of the blush. =P

I'm also curious about Josie Maran's Argan Oil blush stick, but I'm a sucker for pretty packaging and have combo skin, so Tarte is my target.

If you are looking for something dark like mauve, I know Clinique Black honey series was quite popular and their make up are generally pretty sheer.
