Hi AMC,

The Dior Hydra Life BB Creme is hydrating and leaves skin with a sheer luminous finish.  However, if you're looking for more coverage, I second the Dior Nude Skin-Glowing Makeup. It's a hydrating foundation with a natural flawless glow.

Bobbi Brown's skin foundation is great for dry skin.

I'm not a fan of her foundations usually, but for dry skin, it just sits very nicely and looks even better as time goes on.

Guerlain's Parure lumiere is also great for dry skin

I have combinational skin which tends to get really dry in winter and I love Dior foundations.

Diorskin Nude would give you dewy glowing skin, and I would say it has light to medium coverage, it's supposed to be hydrating as well (though I didn't feel that, but it wasn't drying either). There's also Diorskin Forever which has medium buildable coverage and more velvety finish - that it my personal choice since I like heavier coverage.

Also I really liked their tinted moisturizer, but it was too greasy for me, but in case your skin is really dry - that might work for you if you don't have a lot of imperfections to cover. It is quite pigmented and I think you could easily achieve medium coverage with it.

As for other brands, a lot of people with dry skin really enjoy Chanel Vitalumiere, but unfortunately I could never get a good match since Chanel tends to have foundations with really yellow undertone, and I have very cool toned skin.

If you do need to set your concealer with powder - MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural might be a good choice since it is non drying, and you could also use it on lazy days instead of foundation. It gives very sheer coverage, but evens out skin tone and gives velvety finish to the skin.

Hope this helps!

If you only need sheer to medium coverage, maybe a BB/CC cream or tinted moisturizer would be a better option.  Dior Hydra Life BB cream, Clinque Moisture Surge CC cream or Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer are good options for dry skin. If you want a full foundation, my sister-in-law has very dry skin and loves the Laura Mercier Silk Cream Foundation (she ups to the LM Moisture Supreme in the winter).

Hope this helps!

bareMinerals new liquid foundation and philosophy foundations - currently at Ulta for now, are supposed to be hydrating.

When I tried Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup it's water based and needs shaken to mix, it seemed too hydrating for me, could have been the environment I was in at the time.

Or try Clinique Moisture Surge foundation
