Do I need the charlotte tilbury setting spray?

Let's say I have this routine: moistrizer+saie bronzing drops, then blush, then highlighter. Do I really need to use a setting spray? And if I do, does anyone have recommendations?

(I want the charlotte tilbury setting spray but I'm seeing mixed reviews). Thanks!!!

Re: Do I need the charlotte tilbury setting spray?

@Christallll I use a setting spray if I want the makeup to last for more than 8 hours or if it’s a hot day. You don’t really need to use a setting spray. I love ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr Mini On 'Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray 1 oz/ 46 mL

Re: Do I need the charlotte tilbury setting spray?

@Christallll  If your makeup stays in place on its own for as long as you want, then you don’t need a setting spray. Back when I used liquid foundation, I also used setting spray. When I swapped foundation for sheer skin tint, I found I didn’t need setting spray to keep it in place. And my blush and highlighter stay put on their own, no setting required.

You can use setting spray for specific parts of your face, if you find makeup doesn’t last or hold there. I’m testing a few sprays as eye primer (using them under eyeshadow; I’ll also try them over shadow) and undereye concealer setter. For that, I load a brush with setting spray and then apply it just to my eyelid or undereye; then I apply makeup over it. Can’t say whether or not it works yet, as I’m still testing. The sprays in my test are Charlotte Tilbury Mini Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray 1.1 oz/ 34 ml , LYS Beauty LYS Beauty Skin Loyalty Setting Spray 3.38 oz / 100 ml , and LH Cosmetics On Set setting spray.

About Charlotte’s spray, I can say I wish it wasn’t fragranced. It’s not obnoxious (scent doesn’t stick around all day), but my facial skin’s usually reactive to products that contain too many fragrance components. I’m not sure how my skin will tolerate this spray over time. Linda’s (LH Cosmetics) spray is also fragranced, unfortunately. But I chose both sprays and LYS’s because I have mostly-dry combo skin; these 3 sprays aren’t alcohol bombs, unlike many other setting sprays.

A setting spray is never a bad idea Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray Jumbo 8.11 oz / 240 mL is my favorite
