I'm looking for suggestions on a hypoallergenic chapstick/lip treatment. I have recently developed an allergy to something in some chapsticks. I have tried various different brands like EOS, burts bee's and various types of blistex all of which I seem to be reacting badly to. Any suggestions on something that may work?
Okay, so I have medium full lips. Always always compared to Drew Barrymore so that's a good idea of what I'm dealing with. Not no Jolie though haha. Anyways I looooooove lip colors but I'm always drying out and I can literally rip strips of skin off my bottom lip. That's the issue. I use fresh sugar repair treatment..even the scrub doesn't do much. When I was a kid I always had red red red lips with rings of chapped mess. I have sensitive super white skin, so if I make a mistake you can see it all too well. Tips please and products please
I just got my first ever BI reward in the shape of a lipstick sample for Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick. I love the color and it feels good so far. But I haven't read anything about it so I was just wondering what popular opinion is. Thanks!!
You ladies were so awesome giving me recs for a dark wine lip color, I'm hoping you can give me some suggestions for a lip liner to user with Urban Decay's Shame. I'm pretty new to the dark lip look, I'm not sure if the lipliner I chose should be an exact match of if I can get something similar. I don't want to change the color of my lipstick. Should I get their lipliner is Ozone to use for everything, or is there a liner that matches Shame? Sorry this is so long! Thank you!!
I'm totally obsessed with lipstick right now. I'm normally a gloss kind of girl, but I bought the Bite lip set and UD Revolution in Rush now all I want to do is buy lipstick. What are your favorite wine colored lipsticks for fall? I have fair skin, with hazel eyes, and dark drown hair. Thanks for helping me feed my addiction
So I recently bought it and I wore it yesterday for the first time. The color is way darker on my lips than when I swatched it, which is fine, HOWEVER, the problem is that it settled into my lips almost immediately and made me look like I had black blotches. It was not a flattering look. I exfoliated and primed my lips before as well. Any suggestions before I return it?
I have read a few places to use lip balm over lipstick to help moisturize it and keep it from drying out. I've been wearing NARS Audacious lipstick and I love how pigmented it is, but it can really show when your lips are drying, showing darker in dry areas. I have started being extra vigilant applying lip balm at night and when I'm home not wearing lipstick. But I read somewhere that said to apply a coat of balm over your lipstick instead of under it. I thought that would help keep the lipstick moist and help it be longer lasting. But so far, it just seems to dilute the lipstick and make it wear off faster. So my question is, does the type of lip balm make a difference? I just picked up some lip balm by Maybelline for starters, it's cheap so if it didn't work, I'm not out anything. But like I said, it seems to make the color wear off faster. I've ordered some Rosebud Salve, mostly for using at home and over night, but would that work better?? Sorry, I'm so clueless. Lipstick is a new experience for me and I love the Audacious line, but I need to hydrate better! Thanks in advance for any advice.
What is the best pink for someone with warm undertones? I ordered Kelly because I love how the shade looks on Temptalia, but I couldn't swatch it because Sephora doesn't carry it. But in person, I don't like it at all. I want to try another shade and right now, Marisa is my front runner. But I really have no idea what shade of pink is appropriate for me. I have both Charlotte and Bette and I LOVE them both so much, I have a hard time picking a favorite. Maybe I'm just not meant to wear pink. Maybe I should look at the nudes? I don't do much in the way of eye makeup, so really lip color is where it's at for me. I appreciate any recommendations. Thanks so much!
I bought two of the Bite Beauty Matte lip crayon mini's during the VIB sale, but I've noticed they have a very odd smell (old lipstick/oil). It's not as noticeable with Aubergine but it's crazy strong with Gavi Are these suppose to smell like that, should I be worried?
Can anyone identify the lip gloss that Taylor Swift is wearing in her recent TIME magazine cover? I am dying for that color, but I can't find any info online about the products she wore in the photo. Thanks!
Hello there! I seriously need some help choosing a lipstick for my skin tone and the event. For my birthday, I am going to see the symphony, and I am having trouble choosing a lipstick. I'm doing fairly neutral makeup, but I would like a semi-dramatic lipstick. The only problem is that I'm a ginger, and finding makeup that works for me is nearly impossible! I am ridiculously pale. To give you an idea, the foundation I wear is the Makeup For Ever Mat Velvet + in shade #15, and that is almost too dark! I am looking for something classy and dressy that has just enough drama. Any suggestions? Thank you for the help
Does anyone know which brands at Spehora have gluten free lipsticks? I have celiac disease and shoiuld use a gluten free lipstick. I would love to be able to walk into a Sephora location and know which brands I can use and actually see the shades before I purchase. Thanks!
When other people wear bright fuchsias and bold reds, they look gorgeous! I really, really, really want to wear colors like that, too. However, I just tried on Bite Beauty's VIB Rouge, Winterberry, and Pomegranate and they all look pretty bad on me (my dad agrees with me). I read on BT that being confident is important when wearing such colors, but I am starting to think that my face just wasn't made for such colors...so I have a question. Could it be possible that I just wasn't made for red or bold lip colors? I am so sad right now T-T
I just got my first Nars Audacious liptstick in the mail - Bridget. I thought I ordered it as a pale nude, but it's like super pink. It's also going on in a way where I see every line in my lips and on only half my lower lip. What is going on? I heard this lipstick was the best, but having a ton of issues. I mostly use glosses and am trying lipsticks for fall. So far the Bite are the best. I have olive skin, brown eyes and brown/black hair. I definitely think Bridget is the wrong color. Am I doing something wrong applying the lipstick? Thanks for your help!
SO EXCITED!! 11/28/14, they are coming out with 50 LE miniature lipsticks, selling at $32 each. I need them all. A snippet from an article about them: " In the Lips & Boys lineup, there are 10 shade ranges, encompassing nude browns, violets and plums, metallics, reds and light pinks. The high-pigment shades are done in a base of soja seed extract, Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomile flower oil. Thirty-six offerings are new shades; 10 are from Velvet Suede, Ford’s current seasonal color story, and four are from previous seasons. Ford predicted bestsellers will include Tomas, a coral hue; Matthew, a coral pink; Flynn, a light pink; Giacomo, a deep rose, and Patrick, a muted coral pink. Each clutch-size lipstick will retail for $32. The lipsticks can also be packaged in sets of any three hues in the collection."
Happy Hump Day everyone! I had to go into work 2 hours early today, so I could use a time killer. How about a survey? Real simple. Your favorite formula/line/product of: Lip Stick (overall) - Lip Stick (traditional) - Lip Stick (liquid) - Lip Stick (semi-transparent/tint) - Lip Stick (full coverage) - Lip Stick (matte) - Lip Stick (non-matte) - Lip Stain - Lip Balm - Lip Gloss - Lip Mask - Lip Repair/Medicated - Limited Edition Lip Product - Line With The Best Shade Selection - Drugstore Lip Product - Sephora Lip Product - Department Store Lip Product - SINGLE FAVORITE PRODUCT - And if you feel so inclined to share a reason or specific shades that exemplify the glory of the line (or things that could be improved), by all means! If I missed a category (likely), add it! Don't have an opinion on some? Skip it! It's pretty clear that we all expanded our collection of lippies over the last week. Even if you didn't, let's hear it!
