I just bought a lipstick from Sephora, and I was wondering if there was something else I could buy that I could put over the lipstick to make it last longer and not come off while drinking/eating or if I have to buy the lipstick like that. Thanks!
I attended the "Perfectly Paired Lip and Cheek" class at Sephora on Sunday. One of the topics discussed was exfoliating your lips. I have always had very dry, flaky skin from head to toe thanks to being born with Ichthyosis. Dry skin is something I've always struggled with but one area that never seems to improve is my lips. I've tried lip balms from Chapstick to Bite Beauty but nothing works. I've tried just using Vitamin E or other natural oils. I've tried various different physical exfoliants from just using a damp washcloth to using an actual scrub. I find that it might remove some of the flakes but I'm left with uneven areas or borders of flakes sort of like if you pulled a scab off but didn't get all of it. Thus, when I put lipstick on, it looks uneven and sometimes doesn't stick to the center of my lip where the skin is a different, shiny texture. I also have broken capillaries in different areas of my face including around my mouth and chin, so using more scrubs makes me nervous. Now I am looking to find a lip mask or treatment that works more like the AHA/Glycolic treatments I use on my face. I know the lip area is much more delicate so I'm cautious. But does anyone know of a product like this? Maybe a lip mask that uses enzyme action to remove dry patches? Does anyone know if that's how the Kaplan MD Lip 20 mask works?
Hi! A co-worker of mine was wearing a beautiful shade of nude shimmery pink on her lips. Although it had shimmer, it was a matte finish. I asked her what it was, and all she said is that it was "some matte pencil" and she couldn't remember anything else. I don't get to see her often, so I didn't want to sound too bold by telling her to go home and bring it to work next time, lol. Any ideas about a brand that makes shimmery matte pencils? Thanks!
I do this periodically. I can't judge liquid lipsticks. Yes, I can tell the difference between 1,000 red regular lipsticks but the liquid ones leave me confused. So, to update my never ending question, which liquid lipstick is your must have? Brand, shade, both, whatever. Thanks!
Does any Canadian know how to get their hands on ABH Pure Hollywood?? I had my email in for a notifications when it comes back in stock but it seems to have come and gone with no emails. It looks like Macy's or the ABH site has different colours now. If anyone has a Pure Hollywood dupe that would be great too!!
Has anyone tried these? I just got an email from them announcing their Spring release, the Plum Blossom 23-Karat lipstick. It's a gorgeous color (rose/nude) and I'm dying to get it. But for $55?!!? I figure someone on BT must have tried their lipstick. I'd love to get some feedback, about their lipsticks in general and/or this color in particular. I like their skincare, so have high hopes for this, but their lipstick is a mystery to me. Any help?
Hi guys, this is my first time posting on beauty talk, and i really need some help! I just recieved my Anastasia Beverly hills liquid lipstick in carina today, and i really wanted to love it! But i find its too bright for me (I'm a neutral or medium in most foundations). I'm wondering if a lip liner would help in any way. Has anyone used a lip liner with it? And if so, which one? Thanks in advance!
I have tried L'oreal caress wet shine lipstain and now Im planning to buy YSL glossy lipstains from Sephora in shades Rose Tempura & Encre Rose. Is it really worth the price and hows the pigmentation. Hows the packaging, does it come sealed, as with L'oreal's the main problem is that they are not sealed so you never know if its tried before.
I just received my Besame Cosmetics lipstick in Red Velvet yesterday. I've been dying to try it for a few months now and finally got it... This may seem like a stupid lack of common sense or something, but am I the only one who has trouble applying red lipstick perfectly?!? I find it to be the hardest lip color to apply.(any red in general) are there any tips or secret tips you guys have that would make applying red lipstick easier?? I've looked online and everything, tried applying it with a lip brush, but I just don't know... I'm thinking of returning it although I hate to do that because Sephora returns usually take such a long time... I don't want to give up on Red lipstick but I really need help! stuck in a rut is more like it Thanks in advance
I'm not sure if this is happening on the US Sephora website too, but on the Canadian Sephora website, a lot of shades of KVD's liquid lipsticks have suddenly disappeared (not showing as out of stock, completely gone) and there are only about 13 showing now, most of which are the original colours.... Anyone know what's up with that? I wouldn't imagine that they'd be discontinued, but I'm just wondering if anyone would know why they aren't showing atm.
HELP!!! I can't seem to ever find the right lipstick for my skin tone :'( I am Hispanic meaning I am the usual: tan, with black hair, dark almost black eyes, and small lips like the lips of a 15 year old . I want a color that wont make my lips look smaller than what they already are, but I also would like to try the bold colors like: dark purple, black. beige, maroon, brown (etc.) PLEASE BE VERY SPECIFIC!!!
I've just started a job as a substitute teacher, and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for what shades of lipstick they think would be nice for a classroom setting? My go to has always been a bold red, but when I think of teachers, I don't typically think of anything too daring. I'm thinking maybe a nice nude or another light and subtle color. I tend to stay away from pinks because I'm very fair, and I've yet to find a pink that doesn't make me look too much like a doll.
My friend bought me the Sephora Collection Luster Matte Long-Wear Lip Color in Scarlet Luster for my birthday last year and I think the color is so beautiful! It looks amazing on...but I can NOT get it to stay. It transfers like crazy and will wipe off on anything it touches. I've tried filling in my lip with a lip pencil before applying the product, applying a translucent powder over it to set it, and I've tried applying a lip stain underneath then this one over it. Nothing has worked so far. Does anyone have tips for getting this product to stay on?
Does anyone know if this will be restocked again? I have been eyeing this since it was released but it went out stock really quickly and they just restocked it yesterday, and it went out of stock again today!
