I was looking at these for a long time, but for some reasons never really got into them and didn't pull the trigger... I have a few questions for you all about them! 1. Do they ever dry out your lips? 2. How long do they last? thanks in advanced :*
hello! i wanted to try some products sold in sephora for my extremely chapped lips....i've tried burt's bees chapstick, the brand chapstick, maybelline my baby lips, etc. nothing is working very well for me. i prefer a tube-like product, so i don't have to dip my fingers in the actual product, but please PLEASE help! thanks so much! happy holidays! xo
Does anyone have this lippy? I'm really contemplating it but I'm not sure how it compares to UD's Anarchy, which I already own. (Kind of a sucker for very bright or very dark lips, seldom neutral which is kind of weird. ) Anyway, if anyone has swatches or input, I'd appreciate it!!
Lately, I have been using lip balm more than usual. I usually apply a layer of lip balm underneath my lip gloss or lip stick, but I have really been getting into tinted lip balm lately. For a regular lip balm, I love EOS! I currently have one in Summer Fruit. However, the cats also like them. If my mom leaves hers on the counter or table, they think it's a new toy lol. I need to get some more tinted lip balm, especially the Revlon lip butters. I have been completely out of the one I had, but I always end up forgetting and buying something else lol. I have a Maybelline Baby Lips right now, and it is an awesome spring time pink. The quality of the balm itself is good, too, for my lips. I have tried the Fresh Sugar lip balms. From the birthday gift, I finished the plain one a while back, and I still have some of the Rose one left. It's ok, but, for me and my lips, I don't need to spend that extra money on lip balm. It works the same for me as EOS. I saw where Stila has a type of tinted lip balm out now, so I will have to check that out. What are your thoughts on tinted lip balm?
I'm looking for a medium red lipstick (as opposed to bright or dark) with a pearly finish. I thought it would pretty fun for the holidays and something different from all my cream lipsticks. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
In the new Buxom Serial Kisser set, there is a color called "centerfold" that I fell absolutely in love with (as well as Mistres) but I can't find full-sized versions... are these colors limited edition for this set only?? The full bodies lipstick have so few choices and such a great formula, it makes me so sad. I searched everywhere and I can't find a full sized. I don't want to buy a whole other set just for these minis because I'm not in love with the other colors... le sigh
So, I want to thank you in advance for reading this novel of a plea for help, as this is going to be a little long winded, and somewhat embarrassing...because I'm a Color Expert/Beauty Studio Captain for Sephora for over 3 years and I have found very few lips products for me that don't either get super dry, patchy, peels or get the dreaded "white ring of death" goop (so lovely) within 45 minutes of application. I'm talking all day everyday non-stop. Between appointments, consultations and helping clients for 10 hours a day, I can't find anything that doesn't look awful and I have to remove within the hour. Glosses have been the most forgiving, but **bleep** do I miss my lipsticks and high pigments!! I drink more water than most, and I've used Laura Mercier's lip silk, Hourglass No. 28 lip oil (that has worked the best), Bliss balm, Fresh (2nd best), Marc Jacobs balm, Sephora balm, Caudalie's balm, L'occitaine balm etc throughout the day and at nighttime and nothing has been a long term solution. A quick fix perhaps, but nothing substantial. I've done primers (which made it even worse in my experience), lip liners, layering pigments, hydrating glosses/lipsticks, and nothing has stayed somewhat nice except for Hourglass's long wear glosses, some YSL glossy stains, some of UD's new lipsticks, some of NARS satin lip pencils and Fresh's Honey and Petal treatments. And the liquid lipsticks/stain/matte or ultra matte are the worst on me, and I love those the most. Three other things to consider for you ladies is this: 1) I don't have Bite at my store (wahh), so I'm really interested in trying it, based on what I've heard, and any other recommendations outside of Sephora 2) I never had this problem until about a year and half ago and I was a lipstick junkie; I'm ADD and when I went back on Adderall, it ruined my ability to wear lip products COMPLETELY, and chronic dry mouth 3) and I haven't found and exfoliator that I truly love. Fresh is meh, and Bliss is pretty good, toothbrush doesn't work, but I do admit haven't been super adamant about consistently using them because it seemed like they haven't really worked. I've tried everything in my store. Seriously, am I missing something? Doing to much or too little? I'm desperate. I have DRAWERS full of lippies and it's so sad looking at it all.
I have only found one blog about it, but I would like to know everyone else's experience on it before I attempt on it on my on because I'm afraid that it could change the consistency of the product or I end up messing up and wasting it. Doesn't suck that you have to sharpen Nars Lip pencils? What a waste of product >.< Please and Thanks =]
Hey girls, 2 part question here for you. So I am currently wanting to add to my ' wish list ' and I need your suggestions of brands that carry the most pigmented, most sought after and most colour selection lipsticks. Now it can be from High End / Drugstore as well. Second question is I am wanting to try out MAC lipsticks at some point. What colour's are worth the the price paying for it ?. So far I have my eyes on Diva & Media.
Stila's lip glaze in cranberry is a really great brown red and I want moreeee! Anyone wanna share their favorite with me? That color is also referred to as brick red right? I'm still learning my lip color vocabulary guyz.
I bought the OCC Lip Tar set that came with the 4 mini lip tars + 1 brush. It's so hard to get all the lip tar out of the brush and the lip tar is so pigmented that unless I get all of it out, it bleeds into my new color. What way have you found that gets all the lip tar out of the brushes?
So i love lip gloss mostly because lipstick isn't too great for me. I have really dry lips that I cant get rid off. My Neutrogena lip balm with SPF 20 is a must every morning and night or my lips will bug me the whole time. I usually place my balm on before I use my mac creme sheen or Lancôme lip sticks. I tend to stay within the deeper pinks it's a natural color for my lips. so to my point(: what lip glosses do any of you recommend ? Or love? any great lip glosses that aren't really thick and sticky? Ive been thinking about trying out Loracs lip with Benefit lip gloss in the color: Chuck(nude). pix = the color of lipstick I tend to stick to and would love a lip gloss in that color. The lighting is kinda bad.sorry.
Ohmygoodness! I went into Sephora last Sunday for some fragrance samples (to decide which perfume I want for Christmas) and I walked by the Bite display and saw this BEAUTY! I think the color "Bramble" is absolutely stunning, and looked wonderful on my skintone My dilemma: I do not think 0.09oz of product is a good deal at $24, and would like to find a cheaper alternative. I'm looking for this exact shade, doesn't matter if it's found in a pencil, lip gloss, or lipstick. Can anyone help? This is what the shade looks like
I love Stila Beso for a red matte lip, but am worried about wearing it out because I know that if it flakes, it becomes very hard to fix. Does anyone have any pointers on how to deal with it if it flakes? I have heard that this liquid lipstick can not be touched up, that it can only be removed entirely and reapplied. Advice?
Im curious what are your favorite transfer-proof or at least "less transferring" lipstick. My husband has been getting a little weird when I wear dark lipcolor (admittedly since I ruined one of his favorite hoodie) LOL
I just happened to see a teeny tiny little sign about this promo 2 months ago, forgot all about it but my phone calendar helpfully reminded me! Now until the 15th while supplies last, get a free mini chubby stick intense in Broadest Berry or MightiestMaraschino with a skin consultation. Pretty sure this is nationwide ( not sure about Canada, though). Is it sad that I went to 2 Macy's to get both? ( There are 2 stores within 5 miles of me so it's not as bad as it sounds, right?)
Ok, so not scared per se, but this is for people who want to wear lip stick but are having a hard time adjusting to it. I for one would love to get more into wearing things beyond lip balm (as I am so notorious for doing). But its hard! Those of us who are used to naked lips need support and encouragement as we foray into this wide world of color and stuff... Look here is some cuteness for inspiration. I also have the added problem of having lip rings (I have what is apparently called a "spider bite" style piercing which is two rings close together.) It makes it even harder not to make a complete mess.
I have a few samples/palettes that require lip brushes for application. I bought the Sephora Collection Pro Lip Brush #81 (shown below), but I'm not a fan of it. Perhaps I don't know how to use it. Either way, I'm not getting the results I want. Anyone have a suggestion on a lip brush for dummies? It doesn't have to be from Sephora. I'd also be okay with someone telling me exactly how to use a lip brush.
I own a...lot.... of lipsticks. Recently I was cleaning up my makeup stash and I found an old lipstick palette from Sephora, so I cleaned out the lipsticks and everything and I'm trying to decide if I want to "build" my own lip palette. On one hand it would be great to be able to see all some of my lipsticks together when doing my makeup. On the other hand, I'm scared to chop up some of my lipsticks. What do you guys think?
When I apply lipgloss or lipstick, it tends to not last throughout the day. Is there something people apply before you put on your lip gloss to make it last all day? Do you apply concealer or lip primer or something? Can you apply regular concealer to your lips and then apply the gloss?
