SO EXCITED!! 11/28/14, they are coming out with 50 LE miniature lipsticks, selling at $32 each. I need them all. A snippet from an article about them: " In the Lips & Boys lineup, there are 10 shade ranges, encompassing nude browns, violets and plums, metallics, reds and light pinks. The high-pigment shades are done in a base of soja seed extract, Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomile flower oil. Thirty-six offerings are new shades; 10 are from Velvet Suede, Ford’s current seasonal color story, and four are from previous seasons. Ford predicted bestsellers will include Tomas, a coral hue; Matthew, a coral pink; Flynn, a light pink; Giacomo, a deep rose, and Patrick, a muted coral pink. Each clutch-size lipstick will retail for $32. The lipsticks can also be packaged in sets of any three hues in the collection."
Beauties, how Audacious have you gotten? I need to get some of these and am going to swatch tomorrow. If you have Audacious lippies, show us what colors you've picked up, and share what other colors you're still lusting after. Just from looking at swatch sheets last month, (on Temptalia I think) I saw about 15 I wanted How about you? Also, hat tip to jemly for inspiring this thread
Looking at you Audacious wearers!! I'm finally getting brave enough to get into wearing brighter lip products. However, it seems like I cannot stop wondering whether the color is staying put, whether it's creating ring around the lips, etc. What do you guys do? Do you check a mirror a lot? Do you trust your lippie? Do you always use pencil/primer?
Happy Monday all! So I'm at my wits end here. I never noticed over time just how small/thin (I'm not even sure what the correct word is) my upper lip is. I noticed most recently when playing w/ lippies and then taking a pic that when I smile my upper lip literally disappears. It looks very odd...I would never had said I had full lips in the past, but I don't recall this. I continue to get frustrated w/ this and just give up w/ a lippie all together. I searched techniques to make my upper lip more pronounced. I've tried applying a bit of concealer/foundation and lining the top, but only a portion of the bottom, but Nada!. Any of my lovely ladies have some tips, or can direct me towards some? I've got so many pretty lippies I want to wear, but as I said it just looks quite odd. Thanx in advance. ~KAM
Ladies, How are the UD lipsticks? I have never tried any from them - saw the set and was wondering if they are worth purchasing? I do like the colours in the set, but in all honest opinion are they worth it (compared to the Nars Digital world set and Bite remix) or should I just skip this one? HELP . <3 Ko
I really like the shade Bare Beige in the Laura Mercier Lip Glace gloss. It's described as a light neutral brown. Can anyone tell me the lipstick version in Laura Mercier's line or a similar shade for another brand? I'm interested in sheer, creme or matte finish lippies and am open to different price points. Thank you! Spoiler (Highlight to read)
Has any who bought the GIVE ME MORE LIP SET 2014 noticed that the fresh tinted lip treatments differ for some people? Before I bought the set I looked at some reviews and I noticed that some people received the ROSE lip treatment and some the BERRY lip treatment which is actually what it says on the box. Please let me know if anyone has experienced this ?
I am looking for a nude lip gloss that is going to go well with my fair-light skin w/ cool undertones. I have White Russian (Buxom) which I love but I am looking for more of a browny nude than a pinky nude, but not too brown. Make sense? Haha. Thanks.
Hey beauties, its been a while Ive missed you all so much! I think im the youngest one one here, but you have all become my BT sisters. I started my first year of high school and its been hectic. I still remember becoming a hall of famer at just thirteen! Anyway, just wanted to show y'all a quick diy lip plumping method, with cinnamon! All you need to do is apply a little vaseline and cinnamon, rub a dubdub and wait a few mins. Then wipe off and apply more vaseline or your fave lip balm and there you go!
Hey loves. So tomorrow I took the day off work to complete all my Christmas shopping....lets be honest i know ill venture into mac and sephora. I've stocked up on so much nude lipstick lately for work that im missing fall/winter lip shades for weekends and days off. For some reason berry tones have been calling my name. I was hoping you guys could help me out. I seem to be drawn to more purple shades but im open to any berry shades. Can any of you suggest favorites of yours or by looking at my profile pic to suggest something that may look good on me. They can be from any brand in Sephora or any Mac lipsticks Thanks dolls . .
I've always stuck to neutral pink/red or bold red lip shades. I'd really like to experiment a bit more with new colours this fall - darker! More plum/purple/brown tones. But I'm also a little bit nervous. I've got fair skin (cool undertones), brown eyes (pretty dark), and brown hair with quite a bit of red in it (like a dark auburn almost). Any suggestions? I think I'm going to pick up Givenchy Le Rouge in Violine Precieux, although I think that's a fairly safe shade to pick. I've also been eyeing the new Bite shades - but none of the stores near me have them in stock yet has anyone had a chance to swatch them or see what they look like in person?
Does anyone know which brands at Spehora have gluten free lipsticks? I have celiac disease and shoiuld use a gluten free lipstick. I would love to be able to walk into a Sephora location and know which brands I can use and actually see the shades before I purchase. Thanks!
As requested, here is a mini documentary of my visit to Bite Beauty Lab! The store is located in Soho on Prince St. I arrived early and was able to score a custom color appointment easily; however, customers who arrived after me had to wait anywhere from 30 min to a couple of hours. I would recommend either calling ahead of time or coming early. This is a view of the consultation area. You sit across from a MUA with a spread of colors between you, as well as a clean surface for mixing: The lovely MUA (whose name I forget! I remember that she was from Senegal, that she wore MUD eyemakeup, and that she used to work for OCC, but for the life of me I can not remember her name!) introduced me to the four formulations: Luminous Creme, Matte Creme (?), Sheer Creme (?), and Creme Deluxe. The Luminous Creme is like the Luminous Creme lippies that they sell: satin finish, hydrating. The Matte Creme is supposed to have silica powder which makes it longer lasting. The Sheer Creme is sheer and hydrating, probably like the sheer lippies in their regular line. The Creme Deluxe has more antioxidants and is long lasting due to inclusion of Japanese silk and is therefore more expensive at 48$. The prior 3 are 36$. I decided to get a Creme Deluxe in a classic blue based red and a Luminous Creme in a pinky-peach my-lips-but-better shade. The MUA started mixing shades using a spatula on a clear surface: The first mixture was too bold, the second too purple, and the third was just right. For good measure, I tried a fourth, but settled on the third. With each concoction, the MUA wrote down the proportions of the different ingredients: After settling on both shades, I was asked to choose a scent. There was a scent station with cherry, wildberry, mint, vanilla, mango, citrus mango, and violet scented lipstick bases. I settled on citrus mango: My MUA then pulled all the pigments for my lippies from a wall full of pigments in bon-bon sizes and shapes: She then put them in a cup and added the appropriate lipstick base formulation as well as several drops of the scent I had chosen: After melting the concoction in the microwave, she put the mixture in a centrifuge: She then tested the shade against the shade we had mixed together at the consultation area. One of the shades was slightly off so she added additional pigment and then remelted/centrifuged: Once the shades were perfect, she poured them into lipstick molds: The lipstick molds were set on a cool surface and allowed to solidify. Afterward, she released them from the mold: She then got an empty housing and placed it carefully over the unmolded lippie: Then the lipstick was lidded and boxed: The lipstick was placed in a box and labelled with my chosen lipstick names. It was placed in a plastic bag with a business card (red lip), advertisement card, and personalized lip card with my shade on it and the recipe on the back. I named my two lippies after my two kids: Here is the final result: I enjoyed my experience immensely and have to thank my dear friend Mary for giving me a 100$ gc to Bite Beauty Lab for Christmas. I would highly recommend this experience to those of you who would like to find the absolute perfect shade. The more expensive formulation (deluxe creme) is about the price of a Tom Ford, so probably not worth it unless you have a gc. The others are in the range of a Guerlain or Chanel, so for me, totally worth it, considering you are getting a perfect shade. I would swatch my lippies for you, but my lips are entirely exhausted from trying on so many shades. I hope this helps those of you nearby decide if you want to make the trip to Manhattan, and as for those of you who live far away, consider visiting (and making an appointment!) if you ever visit NYC!
Hello Everyone, I love lipsticks so much.... I bought so many in Full size... never had chance to use them for third or fourth time. I am try to save money to get the mini lipsticks. Hi! A friend is offering me Outlaw, but I already have Beso. I like trying different types of formulations, but are these similar? The colors are very similar, but I can't tell the difference outside of the tube as I won't be able to hit a Sephora for a while to swatch and I don't want to open it if she can give it to someone else. How similar are they? How different are they? Take it or pass? Please help. Thanks!
Hello everyone! I am a total lip product junkie who has over 150 products. Recently, it started to give me anxiety to see them and knowing they are not being used enough. It is unreasonable but I feel like I have to finish them all I have so many that I love and using them once in a while is not enough for me to feel like I am giving them enough attention. Do you feel the same way? Do you try to finish up lip products or does it not bother you that you don't? What can we do to use them up faster? Please feel free to talk about any product you want. I want this post to be about finishing stuff up and supporting each other while doing it <3
