If you're on BeautyTalk, you're probably well-aware of the nude lip trend and may even own a handful (or three) of these shades. While I love the trend, I still can't seem to find my "perfect nude" so I am very excited to start talking more broadly about UnNudes! UnNude lip shades offer a spectrum from standard nude shades to more bold, neutral shades. These are the mauvy brown, deep chocolate, rose-goldy-earth toned neutral shades and they come in a variety of finishes (matte, metallic, creamy and shiny).
Here's the challenge: rock an UnNude lip look between Monday, February 6th- Tuesday, February 28th. No requirement on how often to post but I'm going to try for every weekday!
Keep in mind, this challenge overlaps Valentine's Day so I am also challenging you to change it up by wearing a bold neutral instead of the typical red. (Hint: red is not an UnNude!)
Check the spoiler for examples of some of UnNude shades. Can't wait to see your take on neutral lips!
Spoiler (Highlight to read)
EDIT: I have changed the timing. This challenge will run through the end of February so keep the UnNude looks coming!

Anyone else have an allergic reaction on their lips to Bite Beauty products? I know they have all natural ingredients, which is why I'm perplexed. I've tried two different products from them and end up with eczema-like cuts on my lips.
Hi everyone, I have been having extra drying and random rashes on my lips for the last 6 months. I have been using on and off the Jack Black lip balm so I never realized that it was the culprit, chalking it down to winter dryness....till this weekend, when I was on travel and I had only the Jack Black lip balm on hand. After my flight and getting to the hotel, I felt my lips to be too dry, so after the shower I put an extra amount of the lip balm on and went to bed. Woke up in the morning to big swollen lips, covered by tiny blisters (no possible food allergies, given that I had brought food from home for the flight). To cut the story short, I started looking at the beauty threads and I discovered that over the years Jack Back has had two very different list of ingredients published for their lip balms. I have been using a sample that did not indicate directly the parabens as ingredient but their lip balm has parabens and hence my reaction (I know I have allergy to preservatives and hence bringing food from him for travel)! I have bought during the VIB sale last year the Jack Black Lip Balm Holiday set and now I am looking at 4 very terrible products for my lips. So two questions: 1) can I return the gift/value box even if it is after the 60days from the purchase date? 2) any suggestions for great lip balms/products that are paraben-free? I know I can use the plain vaseline but petrolatum is not my favorite product.
I am very fair skinned with pink undertones and dark, burgundy red hair. I personally don't care for pink lip color on me, but what would be the best shade of this product to try? I do need some color to keep from looking completely washed out, I just don't care for fuchsia shades of pink. Any suggestions?
I love the shade of this product and how it looks with my skin tone, but it does not stay on my lips very well at all. Is there a good stain that matches closely to this shade that I can apply and count on to stay for several hours?
Hi everyone....I have fallen in love with Bite's lipstick shade Thistle but I prefer a matte lip color that comes in a tube like Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, Tartiest Matte Lip Paint, Ciate Liquid Lip, etc......does anyone know of one that would be a close match to the beauty of Bite's Thistle? I have not had much time to get into a Sephora to do some swatching so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi! I've shared a picture and im searching for a lip liner and lipstick/gloss that can help me achieve this lip combo. It says she used NYX lip liner in Nutmeg and Mac gloss in Florabundance but both are either discountined or sold out everywhere. Thanks for the help!
I love smashbox's always on in the shade "Stepping Out" but I really want to go out and try a almost the same or similar shade from a different brand does anybody know one that is the same or maybe even better than smashbox's? (I have no price point lol) thanks in advance.
This lipstick was my go-to shade. It seems to be discontinued and I'm freaking out. Does anyone have any recommendation for a lipstick brand and shade that's the equivalent? It's listed as a sheer mauve, but not all sheer mauves are created equal! ha.
My lips are dealing with some serious wintertime blues, and they could use some help! Can you recommend any products that could help restore my lips and combat dryness/flaking? You can definitely tell they need help whenever I use a matte lipstick. Thanks!
I don't think I've ever come across a transfer-proof liquid lipstick that isn't matte. I've tried the Marc Jacobs Liquid Lipstick and the Sephora Luster Matte, but both do not dry down. Actually...now that I think about it, it doesn't even have to be liquid. It can be in solid form as well ! Thanks!
As someone with eternally dried lips, before it was discontinued earlier this year , I was a religious user of Fresh Sugar Shine Lip Gloss - it was perfect since I find most lip treatments too waxy to be long lasting and feel good on my lips. Anyone know of a good substitute or alternative? Thanks!
Hi beauty world, gorgeous-looking Nars Audacious Rita (omg that limited edition packaging!) has pushed me into my first post I'm wondering, can anyone give me thoughts or swatches on how it stacks up against other "classics" in the red lip department? ...I'm trying to (not) justify buying another red lipstick haha? (I've seen lots of swatches comparing Rita to other Audacious lippies, but not comparing to lipsticks from other lines.) I'm esp. curious how it stacks up (color and texture-wise) vs. other stuff I have and know well, like Kyoto Red Silk; Ruby Woo; Nars Dragon Girl, Cruella, Shanghai Express; MUFE C405, M401; Smashbox be legendary - Legendary; Beautycounter Scarlet (or more obscurely Aurora lively Lipstain - Blush). But any other insights are helpful too! Thank you in advance...
I am looking for formula and color dups for the Marc Jacobs Le Marc lipstick in So Rouge. I love the color and formula, but since it is no longer avalible I need a replacement. Note: A lot of reds turn pink on me after awhile, but So Rouge stays red on my lips. I have compared Beseme's Beseme Red and Red Velvet. Red Velvet is close, but a little browner. Clinique's Color Pop in Passion isnt deep enough.
I was generously offered a chance to try out Bite's new Lip Pencils by Sephora and received two shades, 010 Rosey Mauve and 022 Rosey Brown. Initially I hesitated because Bite's products typically make my lips break out in a tiny-water-blisters rash, but I thought that since lip pencils tend to have different formulas, I'd give it a try. I have worn 022 twice now and so far, they do seem less drying and chalky than other lip pencils I use. Very smooth and creamy with excellent pigmentation. Yesterday, I wore only lip pencil to dinner, and there was still some colour left on my lips after eating cauliflower fritters, braised beef ribs, and drinking water. This morning, I used the pencil to line and fill my lips before putting on Tom Ford Eric on top, and the pencil evened out my lip colour and was a good base for the lipstick. My reaction to Bite products are almost immediate; I'll usually feel a bit of texture on my lips overnight after wearing a Bite product. So far, no issues... hopefully it stays that way! This is 022 on my lips. It's VERY close to my natural lip colour, maybe just a bit more pinky. I do like colours like these, since they're perfect for nude lipsticks. Note--I do use shea butter on my lips before applying any lip products, hence there's a bit of a sheen.
Hi, i'm trying to order urban decay 24/7 glide on lip liner in deep and its says its not available. Is there another similar color in that line that i could wear and a matching lipstick in a light brown tone?
Dear Beauties, Can you recommend anything similar from any brand to bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie RAISE THE BAR Lipstick ? They are out of stock. The color is I always wanted and now it is getting to end. Help me Thank you Ketoko
