Whats all this hype about the Rosebud Salve?? Is it me or is it just an expensive tube of pink tinted petroleum jelly/vaseline?? I purchase it because everyone was talking about it..I got the tube version, Is the tin version better?? I really want to love this product but ...

Actually in the beginning I didnt understand all the hype either, but I've been using the product in the tin for a while now and it seemed to help with my semi-dry chapped lips. I would always have a peeling problem with my lips, and it would show when i put on any lipstick or even gloss. I am a sucker for matte lipsticks and it was hard for me to wear them because of the skin peeling off my lips. But using this product over time has helped alot. I use it at night and throughout the day as well. Try not to dismiss it, and continue wearing it, hopefully you'll see improvement as well.

I find that it's a bit more moisturizing and long lasting than vaseline, I think the rose extract makes a difference.  I use it on my lips, and it's quite smooth without being goopy and goes great under lip makeup.  Also, it can be used on cutiles, dry areas (rough heels, knees, elbows), etc.  It also lasts forever.

Idk, my sister uses it in the tin and I have tried it-- it is just pink vaseline.  I use burt bee's lip balm and it tingles so good, that nothing else compares.
