What are the best lipsticks and lip glosses?

Lipsticks and lip glosses are probably my favorite part of makeup. What are the best long wearing ones??

NARS semi-matte (the less shine/gloss, the more staying power) lipsticks are fantastical.  Pair with a MUFE aqualip lip liner or Too Faced Borderline and you're golden.

Urban Decay's Lip Junkie glosses do last for a while. I have a neutral undertone, but a bit of a cool one, and Naked is a gorgeous neutral blue-pink. tokidoki lip glosses aren't long lasting, but you'll want to apply constantly, because you'll be eating it off! It tastes like blueberries. (and smells like them)

Hi klc1103 I was recently reading some of the replies for lip stains and some suggested Chanel long wearing lip stain. It's really more like the drugstore versions like lipfinity with the liquid lip stick and gloss. But I was curios so I tried it. I am really glad I did. I got Alexandrite which is a brick red and looks like it sparkles in the tube. NOT to worry! You can put it on really sheer, which is what I did because I didn't like how dry the other brands left my lips. Also, I'm not a gloss person, but was told that the gloss seals the color. Whatever, I put this on in the morning, the gloss wears off pretty quickly on me but this stuff STAYS! Went through the whole day without a touch up and I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner plus drank whatever (water mostly). I had to remove it with makeup remover before going to bed at 11:30pm! Granted it wasn't still picture perfect, but anything that you need remover to take off a significant amount of color is pretty good in my book. Since I put it on as sheer as I could I didn't have that heavy lip stick feel you can get and what drives me to wear stains. Chanel has some really pretty colors and I will be getting a couple more soon.

I have this new obsession with Clinique Buttershine Lipsticks. To put it simply, they are amazing! They are $14.50, so they are a bit easier to collect in comparison to some of the pricier lipsticks at Sephora. My two favorite shades are Fresh Watermelon and Pink Toffee.

Kat Von D Lipsticks have nice pigmentation and last a long time. My favorite shade is Hellbent. I bought it during a trip to Manhattan and was so impressed with it I walked around with bright red lips on a rainy Sunday. It stayed on through lunch. They are $18, but Hellbent is unique to my collection and well worth the money.

Shiseido lipsticks are also wonderful. A little pricey though so I only own 4.

Lipglosses: Revlon Superlustrous Lipglosses, Lancome Juicy Tubes, Essence Glosses, Dior glosses, Clinique Superbalm Glosses.

NARS lipsticks last the longest for me, it kinda leaves a stain and doesn't come off until about 6 hours of wear. My favorites are Funny Face and the new LE holiday Joyous Red.

I agree with the Buxom glosses! I have about 5 tubes and they are SO great for staying on and look and smell nice too My other favorites are the Tarte Lip Stains which are very hydrating and smoothing, I love their light flushes of color and hydrating feel they leave to my lips.

I really like Bobbi Brown Creamy lip color.  The colors give a pretty shine to my lips and the creaminess is amazing!

One of my favorite glosses is Urban Decay Lip Junkie in Crush.  This gloss is long-lasting, non sticky with the perfect amount of shine.

There's nothing like making a statement with a nice bold lip. Bite is a brand that specializes in lip products, their Creme Lipsticks and Lip Shines highly pigmented, in addition to this they're hydrating too. The Sephora Collection Rouge Cream Lipsticks are marvelous too and come in a variety of colors. The Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lipglosses are also high quality lipglosses with the perfect amount of shimmer.

My favorite lipstick is the Buxom Lipstick in Amsterdam.  It's a really pretty rosy color that looks natural but can be built up:

Another amazing lipstick is the MUFE Rouge Artist Intense lipstick (I got a bright red-shade 42).  They are INSANELY pigmented and last forever:

As far as lipglosses go, I really like my Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in the shade Afterglow, which is a gorgeous peachy/pink, and lasts a decent amount of time.  It smells soo great! :

I completely agree! I have the buxom lips in 'sugar' and it is to die for. I love that the little tingle lasts longer than most other glosses. I love how long the lipgloss actually lasts! I have tried a few other colours and no disappoint there either!

Has anyone noticed that most of the shades pretty much adapt to any skin tone? I was worried that some of the darker colours would wash out my face or look a little wonky - did not happen!
