Question for those that may know - is the red on the dual ended lippie going to be Mistletoe?? If so, I may just wait and pick it up when the duo launches. It's a very pretty color!

I bought the Perfect Bite mini set ($25) and I love all the colors.  This is the first Bite product I've ever had and I'll be going back to get the full size in at least 2 of the shades.

I received the Cava MLC today so I swatched it for you all.  I don't have the Cava lipstick, so I swatched against the Gelato multistick and Thistle (Gelato on the left, Cava MLC center, Thistle right).  Gelato on my lips makes me look like a corpse but Cava is better; it's a nice greige nude on me, although I do wish Cava was just a smidge darker.

@psychicdancer Thanks for posting the swatches! I thought that Gelato would be a lot closer to Thistle in colour than it is, but all three look like nice colours, and Cava looks lovely on you.

The Cava lipstick is too pale for me and I'd hoped the MLC would be a bit darker, but this still looks like it's going to be too light for me, so I think I'll pass. 🙂

Adding some additional info about my experience at the lip lab today, and some swatches for those who were curious or interested.

ETA for anyone planning to go: the cost for the full custom shades was significantly more than what the person below mentioned being told on the weekend, which leads me to believe they gave her the price to make 1 'a la carte' lipstick (which she said was quoted as $55CAD) and not the price for 1 fully customized lipstick.  When I made my 'a la carte' lipsticks 2 weeks ago, they were 2/$80CAD and there was no option to only make 1.  Today, I thought he said it was 2/$115CAD (which seemed feasible given the $55CAD quote mentioned below) but when I got to the cash and got my receipt, it was in actuality 2/$150CAD plus tax.

Of course it's also possible they are still figuring out pricing... suffice it to say, a full custom lipstick is a bit of a splurge.

The shade in that photo above is made using a combo of Ofra Dubai/Staten Island and NARS Overheated (swatched together in #4 below, blended together in #2)

 

#1 shows my custom greige.  #3 shows it lined up with (from L to R) Thistle, Cava, 005, custom (custom swatched at top).  

Rust: 

The rust lipstick was a little easier.  I'd brought  Smashbox Out Loud, which I wanted to modify by keeping the rusty intensity, but increasing the orange. 

 

#1 shows my custom rust.  #2 shows it (side) with the inspiration colors (#5) I asked them to use as reference (T to B) NARS Geraldine, Smashbox Out Loud, NARS Mona. #3 and #4 are swatches and a smear of what I was originally planning; a blend of NARS Mona, Jane and Smashbox Out Loud.
