I know this is a goofy question, but I can't figure this out from looking at photos, or reading the Q&A section of the product page...

How do the matte crème lip crayons keep their point? I know they're retractable, not sharpened. Does the tip get rounded after use?

I have the full size Aubergine, and it has a hidden sharpener at the bottom of the tube.

I find eventually the tips on mine flatten out a fair bit, but they're so narrow that it's still easily usable.

I try to apply it so the lipstick creates a diagonal slant, like how regular new lipsticks look.  It's easier for me to apply with a cleaner line that way than with the rounded tip that forms more easily.

It really depends on how you apply it. They are pretty narrow compared to regular lipsticks so even if they get rounded at the tip they should still be pretty easy to apply. I would say they are about 5mm in diameter
