Maybe that'll be my philosophy when I learn to appreciate red lipsticks more. Right now, they frighten me a tad and I'm not comfortable in them. Bite, I'm counting on you to make me like red lippies.

You should try Besame's lipsticks, too! They're just gorgeous and are available in five or six shades. I'm going to round out my own collection shortly and would be happy to swatch them for you if you're interested.

I like it! But of course what's not to like? I have Bellini and will get Kir Royale as well.

I feel like this is some serious photoshop. I've never heard of a red hen-and-chicks succulent. Sometimes I just don't understand their marketing... 😄

But it does look lovely, and I'm excited to get this shade as well.

I'm going to wager it's a tropical species of succulent like Echeveria or Aeonium not a hardy Sempervivum (hen and chicks). The rosette is too flat and smooth. Echeveria and Aeonium come in a great range of colors, but it has had the color enhanced.

So I actually did more digging. I found the original of this image and it is an Echeveria, like moxie said. 

Most likely it has had it's colour enhanced, but still, this has been a neat learning experience, nonetheless!

Violet-red or greenish-red, right? But not this rose red?

Most are, yeah. There was probably some editing (as there is with any photographic image nowadays), but not as much as you'd think. Here's two images I found quickly of non-edited red hens and chicks.

I still recognize the variety above as a smooth-leaf variety with a particular leaf shape, which is usually green or blue-ish. I'm still maintaining that the color was changed in Photoshop. 😄 But it's really cool to see these other bright red varieties that I didn't even know about! Thanks for sharing them, kb!

I googled and found one called royal ruby that wasn't that far off from this tone.  There is likely some editing, but not nearly as much as you might think.

Ohhh looks like it's a berry red?? There are many different reds here...I'd be happy with any (but hoping for the darker red!)

Lol I was just about to say I'll take whatever shade red. I do hope it's different enough from Mimosa though. I was able to redeem for it but haven't tried it on yet....lets just say my lips have been occupied with the different lippies I bought that day😏

That was me for awhile too! Then I really loaded up on lippies and couldn't wear them fast enough. NOw that I've cooled down my lippie purchases, I'm finally getting around to some unworn ones, plus I am getting around to wearing some colours twice, thrice 😄
