I've conquered the most difficult lipstick monster, and have already found a red lipstick that I adore. But I'm very into lipsticks, and am looking for more that I can wear on a day to day basis, and more vibrant lipsticks too! My lipsticks are mostly from Mac, but I'm open to most anything, so long as it's reasonably priced (let's say... under 20 bucks). I'll still take Mac suggestions, though! Anyways, I'm looking for a good day color, maybe a pink, coral, anything that you think will suit me best, really. I'm 20 years old and have light skin with neutral undertones (think shade 30 in MUFE Mat Velvet). I have medium brown hair and hazel eyes... which are sometimes brown. So I think that covers all the info needed.... I appreciate the help!
i noticed in the tutorials that the models had lovely pink lips, even at the start of the demo. My lips, on the other hand, are quite blue. This skews the colors of lipsticks and especially of glosses. Doe anyone else have this problem, and if so, have you been able to "correct' it?
My lips peel and crack when I wear lipstick (even the expensive kinds). It makes it hard for color to stay on evenly. Is there any products that may reduce that? I wear EOS chapstick to try to even out my lips but it doesn't work well.
Hi, I have ash blonde highlighted hair, blue eyes and light to medium complexion with some golden undertones. For reference, I wear Bobbi Brown foundation in Warm Sand 2.5. I would love to find my perfect red lipstick!
Since none of the Sephoras have this lipstick in stock where I live, I have resorted to ordering it online! I have read from reviews that since there is sparkle in the lipstick that when you apply it on your lips the edges can look rough. Does anybody know of a blue (preferably) or black lip liner that I could wear with this lipstick? Thanks!
I bought her lipstick and tried it on around 3 days ago without a lip liner and the lipstick was very uneven and patchy. I'm assuming of course this is because of the lip liner so some suggestions would be appreciated!
Hey Guys, I have a question on lip wrinkles. I'm a 22 year old with lip wrinkles - not wrinkles around my mouth but actually on my lips =/ I love the look of matte lipstick but they are typically incredibly drying and only magnify the look the terrible vertical lines. Therefore, I'm on the hunt for something moisturizing and hydrating to combat my lip wrinkles. Any suggestions are welcome (and please don't shy away from drug store brands either). I am open to trying any sort of product that has worked for someone. Also I was wondering if there are any differences between Korres Lip Butter and Korres Lip Butter Glaze. Those are some products I was looking into and I wanted to know if there was anything different between them, aside from the method of application. Thanks!
I'm not sure if the answer to this is really obvious, but I got the Sephora birthday gift and it came with the MAKE UP FOR EVER Rouge Artist Natural lipstick. I absolutely LOVE it and want to buy it, but I'm not sure what shade it comes in. Does anyone know what shade the birthday lipstick comes in? Thanks!
Can anyone please recommend good lip stains or lipsticks that wont come off when kissing? haha! I've got a few from Walmart that stay on great but they color selection is minimum, I like more vibrant and unnatural colors; bright red, hot pink, purple, blue, black ,etc. I would be thrilled if anyone knew of a black like this but I'm not too hopeful...
Does anyone have any suggestions for a lipstick similar in color to Chanel's Soft Mink which was my absolute favorite and has been discontinued for years. Thanks! I don't care about the brand, just looking for a similar color.
Ok, so there's acne treatment and various things to treat pimple on the face. If it's drying or harsh, no big deal. But I've got a tiny red bump on the lip that hurts every time I touch it and it's a problem when I eat. Moreover, I JUST manage to recover my lips from it's previous dry/itchy/flaky condition, so....... Have you ever gotten pimples on your lips? how do you deal with that? Thanks.
When I apply lipgloss or lipstick, it tends to not last throughout the day. Is there something people apply before you put on your lip gloss to make it last all day? Do you apply concealer or lip primer or something? Can you apply regular concealer to your lips and then apply the gloss?
Apparently Benefit discontinued the color 'La La Land' in it's full-coverage lipstick. It's my favorite color ever-- so I need a replacement. Any suggestions? (Different brand would be fine, too.) Thanks!!
Hi Ladies and Gentleman - can you help me identify this long time favorite? The sticker was never clear about the name and it's rubbed off now. Had this about 3 yearsish? I t's a MAC lustre in their regular lipstick case. Black/silver. See photos! Any help would be great. I THOUGHT I could see the letters "__ __ L A __" or something like that in the name, but looking through lists of MAC Lustre lipsticks (even including special editions), I can't find almost any with those letters. Hmmm... It's a medium-bright pink, fairly pigmented (not thick/matte/full, but also not totally sheer), cool, with very slight lustre (shimmer). For me it's a wearable version of hot pink. The photo of the tube below makes it look darker/more purple than it is, so I am adding a lip shot wearing it... However, it's denser and brighter pink than i looks in the lips photo [which i am trying to post but won't upload darnit]. Sorry I couldn't get a good pic! It also tastes a little like vanilla. Thanks in advance.
Jack Black lip treatment is THE most moisturizing lip product I've tried, but I like to look at the ingredients list to make sure I'm not paying for weird chemicals. The original ingredients list on the website and printed on the back of the lip balm is:
Active Ingredients : Octinoxate 7.5%, Avobenzone 3.0%.
Other Ingredients : Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Persea Gratissima Avocado Oil, Prunus Amgdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Oil, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E).
I find it suspicious that there is absolutely zero preservative, wax or petroleum in it. While many websites don't list full ingredients list, what's printed on the product is always the full list. That list was the same on the tube, on Sephora.com and on their website. However, recently they've finally decided to disclose the real ingredients list. It was not reformulated, it's just now they included the ommited ingredients on the tube (altho the info is not updated on Sephora.com):
Active Ingredients : Octinoxate 7.5%, Avobenzone 3.0%.
Inactive Ingredients: Petrolatum , Lanolin Oil , Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Ehylhexl Methoxycinnamate, Cera Alba, Ozokerite, Polyglyceryl-3 Beeswax, Butyl Methoxydibenzoyl-methane, Parfum, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, C18-38 Alkyl Hydroxystearoyl Stearate, Perse Gratissima (Avocado Oil), Tocopheryl Acetate, Isopropylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Butylparaben , Microcrystallina Cera, Cyclopentasiloxane, Camellia Sinesis Leaf Extract, Cyclohexasiloxane, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Citral, Citronellol, Coumarin, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalol
I find it very very upsetting that they would hide the ingredients (the full list was revealed probably due to the new SPF guideline, otherwise nowhere to be found). Some people may be allergic (lanolin?) or trying to avoid (parabens) certain ingredients, and this is rude and disappointing. In any case, for people who care about the ingredients, beware. I actually found out about it on Temptalia:
Hm, now I'm also suspicious that the Anthony Logistic Lip SPF25 is also prob not the full ingredients and am ordering a tube to check.
Hello! So, lately I've been searching around for a good night lip balm. I have my EOS which are amazing for day. However, I wan a super-thick lip balm for night. One that I would be able to still feel after I wake up, of possible. So, does anyone have any recommendations? Does the Rosebud Salve fit this description? Do any of the Lush lip balms fit this description? Any others? Thank you so much!
