What color lipstick do you like best?
[ Edited ]

I just purchased MUFE's Aqua Rouge in Iconic.  I purchased the MUFE aqua lip waterproof lipliner pencil in Red, too.  As you can see, I had Hourglass's lipstain in Icon.  I just wanted to get feedback on the two colors.  Which do you like best?  Do you feel both are better worn in the evening?  I feel like this is the case but wanted feedback.  Also, do you feel that certain clothes e.x. dresses (I know it's this season's trend) are best with a red lip?  Or do you find yourself wearing red lips with really casual clothes?  I have my own opinion but it's good to get a new perspective.

I actually like both, the dark color is pretty, not everyone can pull off dark shades of lipstick but I really love them! :smileyhappy:

Have you tried anything with a blue red tone like Nars Cruella pencil? This would be super pretty on your complexion too!

NARS - Velvet Matte Lip Pencil

I'd also suggest the Lancome L'Absolu Rouge in "Absolute Rouge"

Lancôme - L'ABSOLU ROUGE

Hi!  I think the darker red shade looks particularly stunning on you.  I'd definitely wear that shade for evening-it would look great.  For the lighter red shade (the bottom pic), you could wear it for both day or night in my opinion.  During the day, you could put a sheer pink gloss over it to tone it down-or I trick I like to do is to apply Buxom's Lipstick in Amsterdam (rosy nude), and then pat on a little bit of my bright lipstick over it.  This still shows the color of the bright lipstick, but it's not so intense.  For clothing, I personally think summer dresses look great with red lips.  Hope this helps!

I'd say the second color is an everytime lipstick, but I wouldn't rule the darker red only for evening. I love a dark red with a black suit, it just looks so polished and businesslike. (I wish I was darker skintoned to pull it off every time, though). Dark red also looks great with camel and darker neutrals for day wear, especially as the weather gets colder.

I think both reds are gorgeous! I like the iconic better on you...it just brightened up your face beautifully. Great casual and date night red. The hourglass icon is definitely for special occasions...it  gives a sophisticated vibe. I wear red lipstick with casual and nighout clothes depending on my mood...although I try to avoid red overload as much as possible (red lips, nails, shoes, tops or dress together!).

They are both lovely colors on you! :smileyhappy: I think the first is better suited for evening (at least that's how I would wear it), but the lighter red you could really pull off anytime (unless you happen to work in a conservative setting where a red lipstick would be frowned upon). On weekends, I have worn reds with practically anything -- jeans, dresses, etc.
