Perfect red lipstick?

I'm looking for the perfect red lip stick! I've heard MAC's Russian Red is amazing, but I've been interested in YSL's amazing lip sticks, too. I can't decide! What do you think is the perfect red lipstick?

Just in case...

I'm fair but I've been using fake tanner, warmed toned skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair.

I remember when I was growing up, I always wanted the perfect red lipstick until I found Chanel Lipsticks. I love how their reds! I have been using Chanel Rouge Allure in Passion #14.

What I love about this color is that it gives you that Hollywood Glam Look.

Also if you want something a little brighter, try Chanel's Rouge Coco lipstick in Gabrielle.

Both of these lipsticks are blue-based.

Chanel Rouge Allure  goes on matte and Coco goes on silky with shine.

Remember don't forget to use a red lipliner!

MAC's Russian Red is undeniably iconic.  It is my go-to red.  A warning though: since it's matte, it can be very drying.

I also love Lipstick Queen's Rouge, in both sinner (90% pigment, opaque, matte) and saint (10% pigment, sheerer, satin) formulas.  As with Russian Red, the sinner formulation can be a bit dry.  The saint formulation is wonderfully smooth and glossy and luxurious, but it won't stay put quite as well.  Sometimes I like to layer the saint lipsticks over a matte stain for more depth and wearing power.

Laura Mercier's Lip Stain in Scarlet is incredibly wearable/day appropriate, but still has the oomf of a full on red lip.

I haven't tried YSL's Le Rouge, but I aboslutely adore Le Orange.  I suspect Le Rouge is equally fabulous.
