You say lip "color" so would you be adverse to a stain? You might try Josie Marin magic marker lip stains. I have found them to be very pigmented so you can build color and get a dark matte look; also a plus, you can layer a couple of colors and make the color you were thinking of but the makeup industry didn't. Always a nice plus. Just make sure you have moisturized and exfoliated as stains tend to show up patchy areas more so than lipstick. And YSL lip stains have some nice purples in them as well.
