Lipstick Virgin
Hi all! I was just looking for some suggestions on lipsticks and colors to try. I have never worn lipstick before, and I usually stick with a pretty sheer gloss. I just want to try something new. I am looking for something subtle, but willing to be adventrous. I have medium skin, brown eyes, and dark hair--I am half Mexican and half German if that helps. Any suggestions are appreciated! Have a good night.

I feel ya, girl! I slowly got into lip stick once I started my office job.
I think the most flattering lip stick shade for all skin tones is L'oreal's Color Riche Lip Stick in Fairest Nude. I pair it with a nice gloss on top because I like shine
You can find it at your local drug store for cheap!
You should also check out the Benefit Silky-Finish lip sticks. They seriously feel like BUTTER on your lips! They are oh-so-smooth and leave a nice glossy finish. I have it in Skinny Dip and it's a really nice nude
Check them out here: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P181805
Hope this helped! ![]()

Hi brandiandim
I agree with gabidee, a sheer lip color would be a great way for you to wear a variety of colors without worrying if the pigment is too strong or too light for you. Sheer lip colors are very flattering on all skin tones and with your medium skin tone you can actually get away with wearing a lot of different shades. Soft roses, berries and corals would be great choices for you. I've added a few different products and shade recommendations that you may want to try:
Courtisane
Peony
Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss
Lilac
Black Honey
Natural Purple 25
Natural Pink 13
Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Tint
Enchanted
Moody
I hope these suggestions can help! ![]()

Hey!
Instead of committing to a lipstick, I suggest you try a tinted balm. These are more sheer, and sometimes more moisturizing. Burt's Bees makes some great ones. I recommend you try their Tinted Lip Balm in Dahlia (something like that..
) It'll suit your skin tone.
