Hello everyone (: I was looking for a thread on here about sales going on, not only on Sephora but on other websites or stores. I personally like to look for good deals on makeup since I am constantly trying to build up my collection. I thought I would make a thread where we could all post what sales we know or have heard about in stores or online, include any great codes for deals or even products with great prices.  Of course since I am starting it, I thought I would post a couple that I have been looking into.    -Hautelook This is a flash deal website that has awesome deals that are constantly changing, hence the flash deals Today until friday, they have some awesome deals on Tarte products, so check it out if interested! -tarte Right now, tarte is having a discovery sale with items like the Maracuja miracle foundation for $21.00 instead of $42. Have you all seen any amazing deals lately that we should check out? Today I went to a nearby Tj Maxx to see if they carry any Thebalm makeup. I heard that they might, they didn't. Maybe during the holiday season. I did get a set of brushes from Cythania Rowley for 10 dollars! I never heard of her brand for comestics related items. I mean 5 brushes for 10 dollars plus a holder. Can't beat that price. I also stop by Nordstrom Rack. I suggest going to any ones nearby because I saw a lot of 2012 holiday value sets. I picked up the Want You To Want Me eye shadow palette from Anastasia for 14 dollars. Orginial price was like 34. I also saw Lorac, Smashbox, Urban Decay, Stila, Nars, Too Faced, and NYX. Go see if your Nordstrom Rack carries any of these.

I am a total makeup junkie, and I want to take advantage of the discout before its over!!! I decided to get the naked basics pallet (I already have the Naked and Naked 2)I would really like to try something new, and adding one more item on (with a discount ) is a good excuse... Well, I thought it would be great to share what we all got during this summer clearance event.  So tell me, what did you end up getting?   To be honest, I only ended up getting one thing.  While looking it over, I noticed the Sephora Pro Rolling bag.  Of course, i have been wanting it for a while and therefore, I ended up getting it.   My mom will probably wonder what the heck I ordered but then again, I told her that it would help me be organized. >> Well, she had a big surprise coming.

I love when you a product you didn't have high hopes for or bought on a whim, surprises you and turns out to work amazing well. I want to hear what other people's "surprise products" have been.   My recent "surprises" have been:   Real Techniques Brushes (Travel Essentials Kit)- I happened to see them in the store and I had heard good things about them online, plus the brushes felt incredibly soft and  the price was great ($20 for a foundation brush, eye shadow brush, multi-task face brush, and travel case/stand). These have turned out to be great! I usually apply foundation with my fingers, just because I find it blends into my skin better,but this foundation brush has me converted. It is a little fluffier than traditional liquid foundation brushes, so I think it helps to blend better. And the eyeshadow brush, is great, even though it is fluffier it doesn't sheer out the shadow as I apply it, so color is easilly built up. And the multi-task brush is wonderful to use for everything, powder, blush, bronzer, whatever.   Victoria's Secret Makeup- I picked up a few items at their semi-annual clearance sale, since they were a great price, some eyeshadows, a luminizer,  lip stick and lip gloss. For the most part I have had really good experience with their makeup, the quality is usually really good, and the prices are great (about the same prices as the more costly drugstore brands). With the exception of one eyeshadow that I had to really work at to build up color, everything is really good. Shadows have great color payoff, easy to blend and last all day (with primer), The luminzer is nice without looking like a glitter bomb exploded on my face, and the lip products have great color payoff (except those meant to be sheer) and last moderately long (5-6 hours)

i got tons of cash this holiday season so i want to spend a good chunk of it at sephora so anyone wanna give me sone good products i should buy as an impulse? 

Hi Ladies, I just got back from the VIB event, and althought the store didn't really even have anything going on (no "beats" as advertised... so I'm not sure what that's about) in the store, they did have the store stocked and had lots of people to provide help.   Here is what I got:    Clairsonic Mia 2 Holiday Pore-Fection Kit Kat Von D True Romance Eye Shadow Palette - Saint Sephora Pro Lesson Palette - Natural Eye Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Lip Sephora Colorful Palette - Matte Madness Sephora Brush #45 Tarte Cheek Stain - Flush and True Love Sephora Blinged Palette   I also requalified for VIB status next year, so they gave me the new Welcome Kit and VIB card.  Nice... I posted pics and info on the other post about the new card, if you are interested...     I also received my Sephora VIB tote, which had a bunch of small samples in it, and a few "How To" guides.  I'm glad it wasn't empty, that would have been a bummer.     The team at my Sephora also offered us a card for a free 45 minute make over with a beauty expert, no purchase required.  Nice!!  But it didn't look like a Corporate Sephora card... just something they did in store to appreciate thier VIB's.     So, what did you guys get?  How was your haul??

Sephora have awesome kits every holiday season as we all know. Are there any kits you are waiting for? or just got?   My lips got addicted to Fresh Sugar lip balm, so I'm waiting for a kit with untinted version that's <$30. =P I don't like the colors in the current Sephora Favorites lip kit, so I'm hoping the next one have lighter/brighter colors with pink/coral/orange/red, and a full size of something other than Sephora's lip gloss.   I am getting the Buxom lip gloss set to see if Buxom is worth the hype, and butter/balm are always needed for winter days. =)

So before I start this entry, you should know that I'm NOT trying to promote anything, I'm simply trying to help fellow beauty addicts get cool stuff for less I have belonged to both Hautelook and RueLaLa for about a year now. RueLaLa is mainly high-end designers while Hautelook is cheaper. I haven't bought a ton of stuff from either, but here's what I have gotten: From RueLaLa- 2 Coach purses for 300 dollars(total) and a couple of Smashbox shadows+one primer for half off. From Hautelook- 2 Juicy Couture purses, Juicy sweatpants, t-shirt, short sleeve sweater, and shorts. A set of 15 brushes and an 88 eyeshadow palette by Crown Brush, translucent powder and pink lipgloss set from 3custom Color, and a set of 6 shadow pencils from NYX.    The cosmetic stuff is non-returnable, but I think clothing is(has to do with sanitary stuff, etc.). Anyway, my reason for posting was to tell you that Hautelook is having an Urban Decay sale now until Monday 8am Pacific and on Monday or Tuesday they are having a Skyn Iceland sale. Yay!!!  Im excited!!!  Just got home from shopping at the Northlake Sephora in Charlotte, NC and I picked up some MakeUp Forever HD Foundation!!!!  Got a few sample of stuff while I was there that I cant wait to try out like Boscia Makeup Breakup Cleansing Oil, Boscia BB Cream (recently fell in love with BB cream but the Garnier brand), and Korres Wild Rose Advanced Sleeping Facial!!!  Cant wait to try all these out and post about them!!  Yay!! <3 Nikki

Canadian shoppers, BCBG is having amazing sales on their dresses right now!   I picked up this lovely runway piece (looks much better in person, gorgeous embroidery) for under $300. I had eyed it months ago, but it was completely out of my price range at over $700.   I also found the most gorgeous, fire engine red mod style trench coat with white contrast stiching at a vintage store. So funky and I plan to wear it in a more modern/chic way with nude stilettos and oversized sunglasses. (Although was tempted for about 5 seconds to buy white go go boots to match lol.) It reminds me of London, which I miss.   Still on the hunt for a good pair of tall riding boots through an end of season sale and debating getting a used Danier leather jacket for $35 off of craigslist. I love craigslist!   What have you ladies been buying for the warmer weather ahead?

I finally decided to try the smaller size of the Clinique 3 Step System for Skin Type 3.  Today was also the first day of their new bonus GWP for Spring.  I was excited to get it since I've only tried a couple of Clinique products, and this was a perfect opportunity and great timing lol.  Gotta love freebies!!  I hope the skincare system works.  Any thoughts or advice on their skincare or makeup?       I'm sure the small sizes and bar soap will last a good while if they work as I hope.  Fingers crossed!       Freebies: Makeup bag that'll be put to good use, 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula, Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, Lash Doubling Mascara, Violet Eyeshadow duo with a single shade from the Blackberry Frost duo and Dark Denim, Long Last Glosswear in Air Kiss, and Different Lipstick in Rose Glow.       Doobie was a bit mad at me.  The Belk bag that had everything in it was too small for him to fit in.  He's been eyeballing my new makeup bag lol.         Can't beat a full size freebie.

Happy New Year Everyone!   I am happy to find that my local Sephora is open today and I am heading out with my VIB coupon! I know 10% isn't really THAT much of a discount, but these marketing people know how to mess with your head to make you feel like its such a great deal :-)   As always, I have my list of items to replenish along with a LONG list of items that I want to try.  I am going to try to not break the bank today and display some self-restraint!  I guess only time will tell how well I do.... :-)   I just wanted to share my excitement of my trip and wish everyone a happy, healthy and beautiful new year!
