What size?

I am running low on my Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel and it is the 1.7 oz tube and it is a squeeze tube. It is nice packaging and has not caused me problems but I like pump things more. However, the pump one is 4.2 oz. It is a better deal since 1.7 oz is $13, and the 4.2 oz is $24.50. The 1.7 oz tube has lasted me almost a year and I like to get fresh products every now and then. So should I purchase the 1.7 or 4.2 oz bottle? Thank you!!

Re: What size?

Whats the shelf life of the products? ( Look for a 6M type logo on the back of the product.) I would go with the smaller size because most skincare items expire 6 months after opening and the bigger sizes almost always get clogged up anyway.

Re: What size?

Since the 1.7 oz has lasted you almost a year, then the 4.2 oz could possibly last you 3 years or so and in that amount of time it is possible that the lotion might "go bad".  So even though you'd be saving money by buying the larger size, it really isn't a bargain if it may go bad before you can get it used completely, therefore I would go with the 1.7 oz size.

Hope this helps!
Have a great day!

Re: What size?

I think your best bet is too go with the smaller one because if your smaller tube lasted longer then the pump bottle. Sometimes pump bottles tend to get clogged and product gets stuck. That has happened to me in the past with the pump bottle. It was so annoying and I ended up losing a lot of product. Go with what your heart feels is best for your wallet :smileyhappy:

Re: What size?

Go with what you like more.  I've used DDML for years and normally use the $35 bottle w/pump that they have available at Nordstrom every year for the anniversary sale and it lasts me usually a year.  The smaller ones w/pump ($24.50) last me about 5-6 months.  The lotion is good for 2 years from date opened, though, if I recall correctly.

BTW, anniversary sale at Nordstrom starts on my fifth wedding anniversary!  Yay!:smileyvery-happy:

Re: What size?

If the 1.7 oz lasted over a year, and you like fresher products, do that. The deal won't really matter for the length of time you have been able to use one bottle. Plus, I don't know how long this product lasts. A 4-5 oz bottle would last atleast two years, according to how long the smaller one lasted. It might start to get bad. I wouldn't risk it. HOpe I helped :smileyvery-happy:
