I'd love to hear what's on your beauty shopping list, sephora or otherwise.
i'm always on the lookout for new products to try!
i don't have anything that i'm dying for on mine now... but here it is...
Acqua di Parma Colonia (I really just want to smell it!)
Clarins Instant Light Perfecting Eye Base (again, just want to try it!)
Zirh Try Me Kit (next time the bf needs some skincare)
John Varvatos Artisan Gift Set (when the bf runs out of cologne)
DDF Aloe Toning Complex (has anyone tried this?)
Cover FX Camoflauge Concealer or Amazing Concealer (want to try both!)
Nars Larger Than Life Lip Gloss (can't wait for it to be in stores!)
Tricia Sawyer Alive! (just saw it online a few days ago and it looks interesting!)
Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzing Powder (pretty but sooo pricey)
Sephora Collection Smoky Kohl (just want to try it!)
New Too Faced Kits (Sun on the Run, Perfectly Pretty & Gorgeous Lips Everyday - might be good gifts for the holidays!)
Sephora Brush Wand (seems like a cool idea, but i doubt i need it)
Stila Striking in South Beach (another gift maybe?)
Sephora Collection Color Flip (gift again?)
Dior 5-Color shadow in Mystic Smokys (i keep looking at this but i SO don't need eyeshadow)
i guess a lot of this list is more to try rather than to buy! haha and here's my non-sephora list...
Dr. Hauschka Lemon Oil
Mac Viva Glam Lipstick (I forget the color now, shoot)
Supersmile Whitening Floss
Zoya Pandora Nail Polish
Giorgio Armani Blast of Blue Eyes To Kill Eye Shadow
Giorgio Armani Rouge d'Armani Lipstick
Almay Oil Free Makeup Eraser Sticks
Chanel Cream Eye Shadow in Mirifique or Illusoire
surprisingly i don't want anything from the nars fall collection! And I always want something from their new collections... hmmm... and thankfully i don't have a desperate urge to buy any of these things right now. woohoo
Excited to hear your picks, or any of your opinions on mine!

@sephoramusthave I can't stop looking at the Dior Garden Party items lol. The second palette you posted would have went PERFECTLY with my prom dress for Senior prom 2010. My dress even had flowers on it lol. Ever since prom, I have been in love with shades of blue and green like in the palette. I'm going back down memory lane too much lol. I also went to Dior's website and I saw the other color options for the two palettes. Beautiful!

the other garden palette (with the pink/purple shades) is really pretty! i love the shades. But i'm not putting it on my shopping list... i'm not allowing myself to get any more shimmery eyeshadows right now!

Here is the pic I was able to find

![]()
And here is a pic comparing the new one to the original
The colors are called
Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted, Blackout
I will absolutely get this! I never got the original one for myself ( but have bought as gift for someone else) and I'm glad that I didnt because the Naked 2 is much more suited for my fair to light complexion. The original one has way too many darker/muddy colors. It also comes with a mini lipgloss and a 2 sides brush.

1. The Balm Nudie Tudie Palette

Sephora really needs to get more TheBalm products. They have all kinds of stuff, makeup, polish, palettes and skincare but Sephora only sells a few things. ARGH!

I really wish Sephora did carry more of TheBalm, especially in store. I've only tried 2 of their products, and I absolutely love both of them!! I have the TimeBalm concealer and the BalmShelter TM that I use when I'm tan. I'd really like to see their products in person. Compared to some other companies, their prices are not bad at all. Their TM was $25 I think. Since I hadn't used a TM before, I was all for paying $25 instead of forty-something for the Laura Mercier one for my first time trying it.

jxw200---Oh okay! I havent seen Hevana in person yet but its reminds me of Sugarbomb because it has multiple layers of color. I have played with the tester of Benefit's neutral eye palette and its GORGEOUS. Its perfect for an everyday, neutral eye. I dont know what the concealer in there is like but it has excellent reviews. Its pricey for something so small, but it will last a really long time ( especially if you have a ton of neutrals already). Its very lightweight and compact, perfect for travel or to throw in your purse. A lot of the darker neutrals look muddy on my skintone and even the darkest shade in there was perfect for me. It's been on my wishlist for awhile actually, I cant believe that I havent posted it here sooner but its definately something that I want in the future. I know its pricey, its almost 40 bucks and for that much money or just a lil more you can get a Urban Decay neutral palette, a Kat von D one, or a Too Faced one that comes with a lot more full sized shadows. So if you are looking for the best deal, this isnt exactly it BUT for me, its perfect. I like being able to use up a product before it expires so I generally lean towards singles, duos or quad palettes. But I am debating on whether to get this palette, or the Dior Holiday Eye Palette. The Dior one just looks stunning.

diana----Oh wow! The sugarbomb definately shows up on me! I barely swipe on any and it gives me major color and glow! Love love love it!

You know what? Because the Dior Holiday Eye Palette is limited edition I will get this one for myself this Christmas. The Benefit one has been around for awhile and it will probably be around for a long time if not forever, so Dior it is. I just hope that its in stock when I get to Sephora or I'm going to have to go to Dillards, Macy's or Neiman Marcus to get it. Its sold out online and my free standing Sephora's dont exactly do a bang up job of keeping things in stock.
*evil eye*
This is a better image of it, the 1st pic makes the lightest color look white, and its actually a champagne neutral. Comes with 3 shadows and 1 liner and a brush.

fun! dior shadows are usually pretty shimmery, (i don't know if that's what you're looking for) , and if i remember correctly this set did seem shimmery when i saw a tester. BUT you should check it out and let us know for sure!

Perfect! I love shimmer! I like glitter too, as long as it doesnt fall into my eyes or all over my face.
If it wasnt freezing outside I would run to the tester and buy the product right now!

@sephoramusthave yay! I'm not into glitter these days but dior shadows typically have nice shimmer that I can handle!
@kimmi i totally have a hope in a jar sample & laura mercier/mufe setting powder samples i never use, wish i could send them to you! actually... hmm... maybe we can! LOL.

@jxw200 lol that would be awesome. Sounds like the start of a TSB lol. I think the last one I was reading about died down.
@sephoramusthave If Dior, for some strange reason, turned out to be lower quality than UD, then something is wrong with the makeup world! One would think that Dior would be beyond amazing quality.

Thats what everyone assumes but so far I have not found a better quality shadow than Urban Decay. I've tested out several big name companies in Sephora and a lot of them very chalky, and had no pigment whatsoever...the next best one to UD in terms of shadow is TheBALM.

i have 2 of the quints (i think the official name is 5-colour something), and i really like them. they are soft and wear at least six hours on me without primer. I do often have oily lids though. also i do find the majority of dior shadows to be pigmented.
for some reason, i sometimes find the limited edition palettes not as pigmented or smooth. and like the trios look nice but when i've tested them in store they're eh. maybe its just the testers though!

Hm....odd. I read through a bunch of the reviews on the Dior Holiday Eye Palette and a lot of people were saying that its ulta pigmented with minimal shimmer and that its a lot better in terms of overall quality then the other Dior shadow palettes.
I have to see it for myself and test it out a bit before I splurge on a quad. Right now though, I'm super excited to get it!

For sure! let us know when you test it out! I'm excited too! Lol.
i was really bummed when i tested a trio cause i read great reviews on cafemakeup and the one i tried barely showed up! But maybe it was the tester or lack of brush, i don't know!

Awesome wish list!
On the trio you tried...either there was no pigment to the product or the colors were too light for your complexion. There shouldnt be a difference in overall quality between a tester and the brand new packaged product, especially when it comes to powder shadow. ( Things like cream shadows and liners can dry out in the testers) I typically apply shadow with my fingers so if it takes me way too many layers to get the color thats in the pan translated to my lid, then the quality is bad. I absolutely HATE having to buy a different brush for every product, that just doesnt make sense to me. Especially with mineral shadows. Companies that make mineral shadows design their brushes to only pick up THEIR mineral shadows, they wont pick up any other brand. I used to have a medium sized makeup bag that was filled with BE brushes, and I just recently washed them real well and gave them to my mom. I only use (and own) 3 brushes right now, they are amazing and I dont see the need for more.
