What's on your shopping list?

I'd love to hear what's on your beauty shopping list, sephora or otherwise. :smileyhappy: i'm always on the lookout for new products to try!

i don't have anything that i'm dying for on mine now... but here it is...

Acqua di Parma Colonia (I really just want to smell it!)

Clarins Instant Light Perfecting Eye Base (again, just want to try it!)

Zirh Try Me Kit (next time the bf needs some skincare)

John Varvatos Artisan Gift Set (when the bf runs out of cologne)

DDF Aloe Toning Complex (has anyone tried this?)

Cover FX Camoflauge Concealer or Amazing Concealer (want to try both!)

Nars Larger Than Life Lip Gloss (can't wait for it to be in stores!)

Tricia Sawyer Alive! (just saw it online a few days ago and it looks interesting!)

Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzing Powder (pretty but sooo pricey)

Sephora Collection Smoky Kohl (just want to try it!)

New Too Faced Kits (Sun on the Run, Perfectly Pretty & Gorgeous Lips Everyday - might be good gifts for the holidays!)

Sephora Brush Wand (seems like a cool idea, but i doubt i need it)

Stila Striking in South Beach (another gift maybe?)

Sephora Collection Color Flip (gift again?)

Dior 5-Color shadow in Mystic Smokys (i keep looking at this but i SO don't need eyeshadow)

i guess a lot of this list is more to try rather than to buy! haha and here's my non-sephora list...

Dr. Hauschka Lemon Oil

Mac Viva Glam Lipstick (I forget the color now, shoot)

Supersmile Whitening Floss

Zoya Pandora Nail Polish

Giorgio Armani Blast of Blue Eyes To Kill Eye Shadow

Giorgio Armani Rouge d'Armani Lipstick

Almay Oil Free Makeup Eraser Sticks

Chanel Cream Eye Shadow in Mirifique or Illusoire

surprisingly i don't want anything from the nars fall collection! And I always want something from their new collections... hmmm... and thankfully i don't have a desperate urge to buy any of these things right now. woohoo

Excited to hear your picks, or any of your opinions on mine!

Re: What's on your shopping list?

I have tried the Hoola Bronzer and it was too dark for my pale skin. Don't use the brush that comes with it, it deposits too much color in one place and then it's hard to blend out. Use a fan brush if you have one, or a big fluffy round brush, they deposit less color, you can always build, it is much harder to remove bronzer! LOL

I like MAC blushes, they have a great array of colors for everyone from pale ghosts like me to women of color!

Re: What's on your shopping list?

i agree with prettyinpa about hoola. i gave it to a friend of mine.

but if you love it, you should totally get it in the legally bronze kit - it's such a great value!

Re: What's on your shopping list?

Re: What's on your shopping list?

Fun! I like your shopping list! I love nars lipstick and first aid beauty's ultra repair cream - its definitely my winter must have! Korres lipstick seems nice too when I tried it once in store! Mufe aqua creams are fun but you can totally make your own with the flash color palette which is kinda fun! (I know you really like cream shadows so that's just an idea) I looked at the Josie maran rem pen when it first came out and it was big and kind of cumbersome to take apart/put together :smileysad:

Re: What's on your shopping list?

Oh wow thanks for the heads up on the REM pens! I saw the flash color palette but I think that that would just be too much work for me in the mornings. I like cream shadows in pots that are already done and ready to go haha! Most of the items on my shopping list I havent even seen in person, so I havent tried it on yet and I dont know whether I really like it or not or whether it would make a good gift or not. I just copied and pasted everything I've posted into Word and it filled up 2 full pages! I'm gonna have a long fun day at Sephora trying on these products when I'm doing my Christmas shopping! *grins from ear to ear* I  just hope that the employees leave me alone and just let me tests things out....there's nothing worse than when they are staring at you while you're trying things on and when they comment on how long you have been in there ( and I have never spend more than 2 hours at Sephora and I dont think thats all that long...)

:smileyvery-happy:

jxw200

Re: What's on your shopping list?

That not too long! Lol I probably spent almost 2 hours at sephora in San Francisco, although the first 15 min I was just like oh wow this place is huge/forgot what i actually wanted to see lol. I always use my sephora app for my list! :smileyhappy: the employees usually don't talk to me too much!

I figured you felt that way about cream shadows :smileyhappy: sometimes I just blend a color on my hand and apply. I did get the sephora empty lipstick palette and I was thinking of mixing colors in the so they're ready but I haven't tried that yet lol

Ps I noticed in another thread that you have benefit Dallas. That may go on my list - what do you think of it?
sephoramusthave

Re: What's on your shopping list?

I do! Benefit Dallas is my favorite bronzer! I am almost out of mine but I do have a backup (hehe). It looks so natural, most days I just put on sunscreen, this bronzer and some lipstick and I'm good to go! I havent worn it since July but its not too dark for my light complexion and you can built it up if needed. And most importantly...it never makes me look orange!

Re: What's on your shopping list?

I got my friend to purchase dallas during the VIB sale!

i don't need it right now (i have way too many blushes & bronzers right now) but maybe in the future!

i did take a few things off my shopping list after the vib sale... but now i think i want to get the clarisonic mia!

sephoramusthave

Re: What's on your shopping list?

Thats great! I hope she likes it!

I have no interest in the Clarisonic. I did the research, I asked around, I tried a manual face brush, I talked to a dermatologist and I decided that its not for me. I'm happy for those that love it and glad it works for them but I dont want to risk it with this thing. I'm happy with my skin and it responds to natural skincare very well so I will leave it at that.

If you get the Clarisonic, remember to ease it in slowly. Dont start using it twice a day, everyday if you have never used a cleansing brush before because your skin will freak out, break out and be very irritated. Use it once a week and work your way up. Dont overdo it, its not good to overtreat your skin. And disinfect the brushes with isopropyl alcohol or something because they will get wet, stained, smelly and collect a lot of bacteria if you dont.

Re: What's on your shopping list?

I'm starting from scratch on my list lol.  I've looked at some things and have changed my mind and whatnot.

Tarte Smooth Operator Finishing Powder or Korres Finishing Powder.    -I was going to get one of them with my giftcard, but my Sephora inside JCP didn't have the Korres one.  I wanted to compared the two for myself before I decided on one.    I still have some of my UD mini finishing powder that I know can hold me over until Christmas.  After Christmas, mom and I are going to Knoxville so their Sephora may have both for me to look at.

Philosophy Hope in a Jar Moisturizer   -My sample of it has been working really well, so I may get a jar of it.

Re: What's on your shopping list?

@bridalwreath great job on the short shopping list! :smileyhappy:

@sephoramusthave thanks for the advice :smileyhappy: my skin is probably just fine without it, but if i do decide to get it i will definitely follow your advice! and if it doesn't work well for me I could always return it!

Re: What's on your shopping list?

@jxw200- Well, I try to keep my lists short.  I am also going to have to buy something for my mom so I am buying her skincare products for her troubled skin.

Re: What's on your shopping list?

No judgment, sephoramusthave!

On my own list is (gulp):

1. Shiseido Benefiance eye cream (I'm almost out!);

2. REN Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask (just ran out);

3. NARS Pressed Powder, Snow (almost out -- this isn't available at Sephora...I have to get it at Barney's);

4. Too Faced Lash Injection, Pitch Black (out. Seriously, why do I always have to run out of things at the same time?!!)

5. Burberry eyeshadows in Almond, Midnight Brown and Pearl Grey (I'm obsessed with these);

6. NARS lipstick in Pigalle;

7. NARS Pure Matte lipstick in Mascate;

8. Guerlain Ecrin 4 Couleurs in Les Gris;

9. Bobbi Brown Maui (classified as a bronzer, but it's pink);

10. T. LeClerc loose powder in Banane and Blanche; and

11. Clarisonic Opal (I've been wanting to get this for ages).

I'm sure there are more -- this is just what I could come up with immediately (eek).
