I agree with justsephora's suggestion of NARS Gipsy -- it's one of the few shades in the red family that I can actually pull off. For me, my go-to, everyday shade is NARS Cruising. It's a nude pink with neutral undertones, and it goes with nearly any kind of makeup look.

The Best lip color for me no matter if its summer and I am tan or if it is winter and I have lost my tan :

NARS- deep throat

MAC Cosmetics- Plush Glass in Big Baby cause it plumps up your lips and it is the exact shade of my lips with a tint of pink

Try a color only a shade or two darker/lighter than your lip color. It will look more natural and work better.
