Haul Videos

I really like haul videos on youtube, but I don't know why because it's not like they are my products. I guess it is just intresting seeing everyone's tastes and what is new and popular from beauty gurus on youtube. What is your opinion on this??

Until a few days ago I didn't even know they had haul videos on YouTube. I spend very little time on YouTube. By the time I finish checking out all my favorite beauty retailer websites (such as Sephora, OVC, Ulta etc.,), reading my fav. blogs and skimming the three beauty mags I subscribe to there just isn't any time left for YouTube. I am going to try to make it over there in a while though to check out the haul videos and see if I like them or not.

I never watch haul videos on YouTube.  I guess I'm just not really interested in what other people have bought, but I love to watch video tutorials because I am interested in the way others do their makeup.  However, I am interested in the "Post Your Recent Hauls" thread on Beauty Talk.  I guess the difference is that I feel like I know some of you all whereas I don't know the people on YouTube.

My favorite "hauler" I guess you would say is Pinkiecharm. She gives her honest opinion about all the products. (you can tell because she points out most of the negatives to be aware of in the vid lol).

I like watching hauls as well!  If it's a beauty haul, I also appreciate when they do the haul after trying out the products at least once so that they can give their first impressions on the product as well.

I love hauls on youtube ! Its weird but its super interesting to hear other girls opinions on new products! I especially love DulceCandy87's hauls. They're usually big and she gives a brief little description on the product .

Indifferent really.  Some interesting, lots of bad, and the occasional,  "... Okay what did I just watch?", ones.  The ones I tend to like are usually not even hauls since items are provided by either the companies or affiliates. 

And there tends to be lots of MAC hauls.  Good promotion for the brands at least.  The business side notices when a certain product just happens to be on everyone's haul list.  Strategic marketing.  

There is one guru that has lovely tutorials but her video editing is horrendous.  Blip audio crackles, cut off, blip, etc.  She has good hauls but I tend to skip into bits and pieces cause of the editing.  Honest opinions at least.
