A long time ago in place called Tony & Guy in Scottsdale, Arizona (now called Brillare) I had my hair done. This chick said if she can use this product to make my roots feel "clean," I said sure. She put it on my hair I believe after my wash and before blow-dry. I swear it was a WOW feeling, it was incredible!!! Now I would like to find this product and use it because I loved the feeling of a "clean root." I forgot what it looks like and called. If any of you use, or know of a product that does that. That would help a bunch!! Thank you!!
I have a problem...There is alot of hair strands in my neck that I personally don't like. I want to grow my hair, longer…Cutting is not an option right now. My goal is to grow it longer to the middle of my chest; it is lil longer than where my collarbone is. In my past I used to cut it short in the summer, since I lived in a warmer state and grow it out in the winter to keep my neck warm, never had a problem...Until 3 years ago...A year ago I made a mistake, It was bothering me soooo much that I end up pulling alot out that made me somewhat bald a couple inches above the neck. So bad that when I went to get my hair done, hair stylists would say what have you done? I do not want that mistake again, very humiliating. So I was wondering if there is some kind of hair gel, or some kind of product to keep them out of my way. Something that is maximum hold and can hold for a really long time...Say like 5-8 hours, or possibly the whole day. Hair clips aren't working...The strands keep falling out, so much that it's driving me crazy! If you can help me, that would really help. Thanks!
So I'm trying to grow my hair out so that when I curl it it will be at my waist line. I would say I need it to grow about 8 inches give or take but the problem is it's already getting damaged. I already don't dye my hair, the only heat it gets is I blow dry my bangs on medium heat and curl my hair on low. However, my hair is naturally thin so I guess it breaks a little easier and I try to only take off about an inch of split ends every 3 months so it will keep growing longer. I need ideas for how to get my hair to grow fast and how to fight off the damage. If we can get that down I also love my hair to be super soft. Any ideas?
Can dry shampoo be used on African-American hair? I'm interested in trying a dry shampoo out but I'm not sure that they are formulated for my hair type. I have thick, coarse hair that is chemically relaxed and I don't wash it everyday. Any suggestions?
Hello there! I'm currently looking for different methods of hair removal (for my legs and underarms), whether it be a super cheap natural method or a machine. I really don't want to fork out money to get laser hair removal just yet, I just want something that really works for the time being. I've heard of the no! no! remover, pumice stone removal, and tria (which is for darker hair and lighter skin, which I have light skin and REALLY light hair). I also, have thought about waxing, but I'm slightly nervous about the pain factor and the idea. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
On the mornings that i spiral curl my hair in the morning with my chi, it looks great as soon as im finished but within 30 min, its completely flat. I dont know what I'm doing wrong or how to make it stay curled throughout the whole day. Ideas anyone?
I've been wanting to dye my hair for a really long time and I'm not having a lot of luck. True, I have REALLY super dark hair (almost black) but I don't want to go through all the trouble of bleaching it. Is there any way I can do this inexpensively without having to do such? Products or techniques would be great. xoxo
I hate watching QVC, even if I just flicking through the channels I'll get caught up in it. I've seen the Wen hair care a few times, has anyone tried it? It sounds great, but pricey and may not work with my oily and dry hair. I also hear the edit reviews and remove bad ones, yikes. Thanks.
About 2 months ago I purchased Clean and Clear shampoo and conditione And had to stop using it. My scalp got super itchy. My hair started coming out more than normal. Started feeling like hay. Overall a nightmare for me. I am 34. My hair before this was great. I have always had thin and straight as a board hair. The itching has gotten alittle better. But my hair is still thin. Hay or straw like. And dull. Any advice on my problem will be great I do take biotin daily.
I have color-treated hair that is pretty wavy/curly. I straighten it all the time, but in this summer heat here in Virginia it gets so humid and hot that it gets frizzy and wet and it's such a waste of time to streighten it and also not very healthy. I used to use a drug store gel and moouse (The herbal essence brand and the aussie brand) but I was recently told that those could strip the color, especially reds. I was recommended to try several beach sprays, but my hair still poofs up and gets unruly and frizzy. I need a good gel that keeps my hair in place and keeps it looking nice and curly and then when it dries it still looks nice instead of a hot mess of a frizz ball with disgusting waves. Help!! (I don't really mind the crunchy-ness either, but obviously I don't want anything to stiff. I want it to dry and look nice and natural but still polished and in place!! ) Thanks!
Hi dolls, I recently started wearing my side-swept bangs straight across, and I really like how it changes up my style. The only problem is, after wearing my bangs to the side so often, it's very difficult to make the part go away when I wear them straight across without breaking out the flat iron, which feels like overkill. Are their any good, light (I have very oily hair) styling products that could solve my problem? Thanks so much in advance!
Hello all! My hair is super thick, and somewhat coarse. Some conditioners tend to be too heavy and leave a really gross film on my hair. Yuck - and on top of that, they don't really soften it, either! I'm definitely trying to avoid that, moving forward. I find that if I use anything other than an oil on my hair to keep it from drying out, it causes a lot of build up. With it being summer and all, my hair gets a lot drier than usual. The last time I was in a store, I got a sample of Alterna's conditioner (caviar, I think - it was in a dark purple bottle) and that seemed to work great! I wanted to know if anyone could recommend another conditioner (or maybe a shampoo as well!) that they think might help.
My hair used to always be frizzy, thick, and curly/wavy growing up. For some reason when I moved out to the Midwest two years ago, my hair has become very straight and fine. I can tell part of it is due to the fact that use heat tools daily (straightening iron and/or curling iron) and wash + dry my hair every other day. It stays pretty flat, dull, and uncooperative most days. I have been trying the Living Proof Restore Shampoo + Conditioner and Moroccan Oil on my hair when I watch it, but it only really makes it softer. I would like to grow my hair back out and have healthier looking hair. Any techniques or ideas on how to make my hair healthy again?
I'm wanting to get highlights in my hair. My hair is medium brown with a reddish tint in sunlight. I'm thinking I want to go pretty light. As light as i can go while still looking natural. (no zebra stripes or platinum or anything). I have fair skin (don't tan) and green eyes. Im just wondering if getting highlights would wash me out? A girl in my class has blonde hair and she got highlights and they made her look sick! Also, what colors should I ask for? Caramel, honey, cool, ash, etc? Thanks!
So I have very fine hair that gets really really frizzy, no matter what I do. I know hot showers aren't that great for your hair, so I usually take cool-ish showers. But still, after I get out and style my hair(etc) it gets all these little fuzzies on top! It is really dry where I live, so I thankfully don't have to worry about humidity. I am getting really frustrated with it and don't know how to help my weird hair! Any advice will be taken!! Btw...I have a medium A-line haircut.
Hi everyone, I love Philosophy's scents and recently decided to return to their line for hair. But I discovered that my favorite conditioner, Amazing Grace, seems to have been canceled after a formula change. In fact, they don't seem to carry any conditioners any more. Can anyone recommend another amazing-smelling conditioner? I love sweet foody scents, but I'm open to anything that will pair with Philosophy shampoos like Cinnamon Buns, Hot Buttered Rum, etc. My hair is fine and wavy and prone to frizz. At times I've tried the naturally curly method, but I'm not using it at the moment.
Hey guys, i have a curling iron at my house that i sometimes use, but i doesnt work that great on my hair. I was wondering if a curling wand is better or just a different method. My hair is fairly straight, a little wavy normally and its pretty longish. Thanks!
Hi I'm having this issue where in one area on my head-starting just above my temple and going basically in a line towards the back of my head- my scalp is dry. I don't think it's dandruff, it almost looks scabby or scaley, but it doesn't flake (until i pick at it...bad, i know!! but I want it gone!!). It is the same color as the rest of my scalp, it's not itchy...and when it does flake the flakes are huge!! not just little specks! I don't know what it is!! I tried putting vitamin e oil on it for a while before my shower, didn't help. I always make sure i wash the conditioner off my scalp...especially there now so I don't think it's build up either...any suggestions on what it is and how I can get it to go away? thank you so much <3
