I am using Oribe - Moisture & Control  shampoo and conditioner for my hair, but still I have dry and frizz in my hair. I loved my hair after using this shampoo and conditioner, but now I am planning tennis 4 times in a week and because of that I am losing my hair quality. Is any one recommend me any other shampoo and conditioner?

Let me start out by saying that for the past 2-3 years, I have been a devote user of my Chi hair straightener. Knowing that it can't possibly last forever, I had had my mind set on purchasing a GHD once poor "Chi Chi" did it's last cha cha.   Well, I'm in the process of moving, which means a lot of drawers are being cleared out, and I'm having to explore several beauty graveyards, including the plot dedicated to styling tools. One particular product caught my eye: my old Remington T-Studio Pink Tourmaline Hair Straightener.   At first, I put it in in the "throw away" pile, as I'm trying to de-clutter while in the process of moving. I figured I haven't used it since I bought my Chi, so I must not need it. But, the inner hoarder in me said, "no, wait...try it out one more time just to be sure..."     And so I did...and I LOVED IT! Like seriously you guys, I don't know why I ever stopped using it!!!! Comparing the final results to what I would get from my Chi is night and day. I actually tried to use my Chi again, and by the time I was half way done, I broke out the Remington.   So this brought me to my question. How many of you use, and/or actually prefer some of the less expensive, "drugstore" styling tools? I know we compare designer and drugstore makeup all the time, but what about our styling tools?!   I for one am now super curious as to what other styling tools I may have been missing out on by confining myself to high end, not to mention pricey, alternatives.   Share share share <3

I am in need of a new routine for my naturally curly hair. I am using DevaCurl but my hair is fine, flat, limp and oily. I am looking for increased volume and hold without being left grimy or sticky. I have been looking at the new IGK products but am not sure what would work. Thanks in advance!

I have seen a lot of questions on this board for fine hair, but not about hair with all the issues I'm dealing with. My hair is naturally curly (although I wear it straight or curling wand waves - i air dry my hair and then heat style with flat iron or curling wand 2x/week). It is fine, very dry, gets very frizzy, especially in humidity, and is very flat (no volume!) I also have balayage highlights.  I need suggestions of shampoos + conditioners + styling products. I need things that are very lightweight and won't weigh my hair down, but that are also very moisturizing and will help tame frizz. Everything I've tried either leaves my hair dry and frizzy or weighs it down and coats it in silicones. Please help me find products that work!

Hi everyone! I just moved to San Diego and while the weather is incredible, the water is awful. It's been coating my hair with this disgusting residue, to the point where I can't even run my fingers through it. Any thoughts? Any shampoo or treatments (or shower heads) you've found to work with hard water? I'm in an apartment and don't have access to my own water heater so I can't add a water softener. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!!

I have very fine hair and need a light weight styling cream that won't weight it down .  Something to add when hair is wet to control flyaways.  Any suggestions? Thanks

My hair is about shoulder length and is very straight and very fine (also experiencing some hair loss).  It does flip up at the ends if I don't blow dry it or flat iron it.  I like to wear it up/back every time I workout.  Ideally I would love to put it in a tight bun/knot, but I can't really get that to work (I'm pretty much hair-challenged).  Also, because it's so fine, I don't want to put increased tension on it, thus increasing hair loss.   The thing I've found to work the best are the Sephora snag-free hair elastics.  But I can't pull back every strand of hair with those because I do have some shorter layers in front (about chin length) that will come out of the elastic.   Any tips or accessories I should use??  I just want my hair completely back and out of my face in every capacity.  Want it tight, but not too tight as to cause damage and further hair loss.   Thank you!!

I need advice! I am naturally a dark brunette but a few months ago I went blonde. I cannot decide whether to go back to dark brown or keep the blonde. I worry that maybe I can't pull the blonde off as well as I think I can. Please give me your opinions!!

I feel like I am losing a fraction of my hair daily! I think its a combination of the heat (shedding), prescriptions I am on, and diet. I don't blow dry my hair or straighten daily, just occasionally. My roots are weak, so I lose strands every time I flip my hair or run a hand through it. Would a scalp oil help? Recommendations please!

I had to post about a product that's made a tremendous difference to my hair recently. A couple of months ago I purchased the  Sephora Favorites Summer Hair Saviors and this unassuming hair rinse that was pretty low on the list of products I was excited to try. Having used it a few times now, I will definitely be purchasing the full size and never want to be without it. It gently removes any and all residue from hair, leaving it incredibly soft, manageable, and SHINY. My biggest hair concern for a long while now has been dullness and this product has given me back gorgeous, healthy hair. Hallelujah! I know you can use this in lieu of shampoo, but I've been shampooing, using the rinse, then following up with conditioner and that's been working wonderfully for me.   Does anyone have another favorite from this set? I haven't tried everything yet and am now looking forward to it even more.

I have wavy hair that is cury around my face and the nape of my neck, my hair is also extremely fine and prone to breakage. Use a lot of heat to deal with the unruliness does anyone have any advice for shampoo conditioner and styling products?

Any recommendations for leave-in conditioners for wavy/curly hair? My hair is long and thick too! I currently use DevaCurl Products and some Brigeo but I am open to any other brands too! I was using the Brigeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray but it doesn't last me more than a few weeks maybe 2-3 weeks depending on how much I use it.

One of my friends is considering straightening her long hair. She prefers DIY methods. I have researched in google and saw Matrix Opti.care helps to keep hair smooth and straight. Is there anything she should consider before getting straight hair?

Hey my Beauties, I'm looking for a new dry shampoo and wondered what your favorites are.  I really like to avoid ones with a strong fragrance, as I don't like my hair products to compete with my perfume.  I have fine, 3A curly brown hair for reference.  Reading reviews it seems like most of them have a strong scent.  Any recommendations?

Hi! So I previously dyed my hair auburn for about 4 months, then burgundy for another 3, until it faded. I then cut my hair shorter (it had been long) and decided burgundy did not look as good anymore, and wanted to go back to brown/my natural color. The brown looked nice, however, the red was still present. Is there anyway to remove the red?

I am looking for a drugstore leave-in conditioner/hair mask to use once a week for long, thick hair. Because my hair is not particularly dry or damaged, I thought the average leave-in treatment would be fine, but I tried a sample of Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask and it had no effect. I haven't been able to find any recommendations online for products for my hair type, and I'd hate to buy something that I won't use. I just want my hair to be soft and shiny!

Please please please help!!!! I am 24 years old with fine, straight, blonde hair. I am a natural blonde, but I started highlighting my hair only 3 years ago, and my hairdresser is very conscious of my problem and concerns with hair growth so she isn't bleaching my hair off. I only get my hair done maybe every 2 months, and its mild highlighting. I only style my hair maybe once to twice a week, and I only wash it about the same, once to twice a week.  When I was 22 I was hired to be a model in a hair show and the artist colored my hair to be platinum blonde and cut it into a blunt bob by my shoulders. Since that time my hair HAS NOT GROWN AT ALL! it dry and breaks off at the end. It feels full and looks healthy on the top but is stringy and spare towards the bottom. The pieces around my face are about 2 inches shorter than the pieces around the neck/shoulders. Ive tried letting it breathe and grow but nothing worked so for the past year I've been wearing tape-in extensions to hide what I am so frustrated and embarrassed about. Ive asked a lot of hair stylist as to what I should do and 98% the response I get is "oh wow thats weird, just use heat protectant." That isn't going to solve my problem, I need a regiment or something to stick to and be consistent with that WILL work! Ive tried, (for a short while because I just grew frustrated, for about a month): Ovation Cell hair therapy Olaplex Biotin Natural exotic Oils as hair masks Pureology and just not doing anything with it at all..   please help me! i am sooooo clueless when it comes to hair!

I would like to use clip in extensions for my wedding but do not know what to get.  Is there a good brand?  I have never used extensions before so I do not know anything about them!  I would like my hair to be slightly longer and look fuller

Do the Invisibobble hair ties leave dents in anyone else's hair?  I bought them to try them but they seem to leave dents in my hair!  I don't know if it's just the way my hair is or if I'm not using them right, but they leave dents in my hair.

I used Redken Color Extend Magnetics for a while and noticed increased hair loss, so I tried Nexxus Color shampoo/conditioner. The Nexxus caused very little hair loss, but it didn't clean my hair and left it weighed down and feeling dirty.   So, I tried Living Proof products and my hair is majorly falling out , so much that other people notice and I can see my scalp! I'm freaking out and looking to try new shampoo/conditioner (obviously) but am afraid yet another product line/ingredients will make it worse. Seriously, as in clumps of hair stuck in the drain, on the floor, and falling out while I am just sitting at my computer at work...OMG. I'm probably sensitive/allergic to something in it and no, allergy testing is not an option (too expensive).   What products will help my hair regrow and look less thin, and also help it look volumized asap? I know it will take a while to grow it back. My hair in general is very fine, straight, and tends to hang no matter what I use, so I don't really mind just want my hair back. I am so sad and self-conscious about this.   ************** UPDATE   I have a happy update!   I did more research about my issue and decided to try Yes to Carrots Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner and after the first wash, ZERO hair was in the tub! Even after I combed it, the difference was dramatic. I know for sure I am either allergic to the silicone-related chemicals (silicones also make my face get little bumps) or the sulfates. It is probably silicones since I use sulfate free hair products for the most part. So, am  quite happy to have halted the hair loss with Yes to Carrots until I see my doctor in the future.   Really, a huge difference. My boyfriend and I did a little dance of joy when he saw the hair-free tub   Hooray! Thanks for your support when I was freaking out. Hugs to all of you.

I can't seem to get the bumble and bumble dont blow it to work on my hair.. my hair is thin and just in the middle of my **bleep**/middle of my shoulder blades... Is it not working because of my hair or am i doing something wrong?? My hair just seems limp using it, lifeless.. and OILY at the roots!!!

I don't have curly hair, but the former B&B Curl Conscious foam made me look like I did. LOVED that stuff and bought as much as I could before they discontinued it. But I am running out and need a replacement. Something that will take my layered hair and give it more than just a wavy look, but something closer to curls. Any suggestions?

My hair is very thick, medium length, and has been color treated many times. I live in Nevada, and as a result, if I let my hair air dry, it is dry as straw and fluffy, no matter what leave-in conditioner I use. But when I go to humid places like San Francisco or New Orleans, suddenly my hair has perfect curls like I used a waving wand. Is there a product I can use to get this effect at home?   This is my hair in Nevada, on a good day:                      And this is my San Francisco hair   I'm fairly young, if that helps anyone answer this question. Thank you!

Hello ladies! I am thinking about using hair removal cream on my arms and thighs, but I'm worried that it will cause the hair to grown back thicker and darker.   What has your experience been with hair removal cream?  Which ones would you suggest?  Thanks!
