Poll time, guys and dolls! I am curious how often each of you wash your hair. Also... do you prefer washing it in the am before work, or in the pm before bed? I am NOT a morning person, so I definitely am an evening hair washer, and do so every 2-3 days, depending on certain factors. Ok, I want your feedback as well... and, GO!!!
Hi guys and gals! I've been thinking about trying to lighten my really dark brown Asian hair for the summer. I would probably go get highlights, but the 'rents both refuse to let me dye my hair (they think it's too pretty as it is now). But, I'm sick of the color! I've had it my whole life and I want to change it so badly. I've been researching products such as Sun In and other lightening agents, but I'm realizing all of these products have warnings for people with darker hair, saying that the product will lighten but will bring out more red tones. I was wondering if anyone has used hair lightening products before and can maybe give me some suggestions.
I was reading some article (it was in Shine I think) it listed a few beauty apps that would make you life easier, and one was an app called Glamsquad. Has anyone heard of it or used it?? Is it a new thing or has it been around a bit. I downloaded the app and basically the hairdressers come to you and do your hair, you pay online and they do everything else you just need to have wet hair when they show up they do blowouts and updo's and things like that. This sounds like a neat concept I suppose if you had an event you were going to and wanted a nice updo or some hairstyle you couldn't do yourself. What do ya'll think???
Hi! I'm dying my hair rose gold, and I'm having a hard time finding a shampoo/conditioner/treatments that won't fade the color. It's such a pretty color and I want to preserve it as much as I can! Does anyone know of any? Thanks for all your help
I am looking for a new leave in conditioner that is good for curly/wavy hair. I currently use mixed chicks, but I find that it is too heavy. (I also use living proof prime style extender and argan oil in my hair after I wash it and I would like to continue using both things.) I need the conditioner to be super light-weight as my hair is weighed down very easily. My hair is also prone to frizz. What are some ones that are popular/good? For reference, I have type 2B hair (naturally curly). Thanks!
I have naturally thick, long, curly hair (which is color treated). I do use flat irons and blow dryers just bc I have not yet found a product to work on my hair. It seems at first the products do justice for my curls until my hair is completely dried. That's when the frizz occurs (and sometimes my curls even drop). I would love to wear my curls out more often. I have tried deva curl. Wasn't too fond of it. Miss Jessie's is okay along with some of Paul Mitchell's products. Is there anything out there though that can define, hold, and tame my curls? Suggestions please... :-/ Thanks in advance!
Hi, everyone first of all sorry for pic not to clear but I wanted to give a better idea of my hair. Its curly frizzy dry and the curls fold and twist around each other in thick pieces (if that makes any sense) whats a good leave in condition or treatment to make em softer and less frizzy and look overall healthier
Hey girls, I have really curly hair that is dry and prone to frizz. I've tried lots of different serums and mousses but none seem to work can any of you help? Getting sick of wasting money on things that never do anything HELP! Thanks
I've been noticing that I've been having flat hair...T.T I really want some volume up in here. I feel like that commercial singing "why you gotta be like that?" I'm having a fight in my head and it's either Pantene volume Shampoo & conditioner. I've had this product before when I really "poofed" up my hair, and it worked. Or should I try something different...like I've been thinking the Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo....what I really want is something to last a few days until my next shower. What should I use?...Or should I use something totally different?
Does anyone use this? What are your thoughts?? I'm going through a sample phase right now and trying to use up all of my foil packets and samples and today I came across the Living Proof PHD 5 in 1 styling treatment. A little bit about my hair. It's Straight, thin, frizzy, damaged/colored, and I'm living in an area right now where the water is so hard that I can't even drink it after being brita filtered! Over the past 2 weeks it brings me to tears to comb/brush all of the knots out of my hair. It's so dry and damaged that once I do brush it and dry it I still can't even run my fingers through it. Cut to today, the Living Proof PHD 5 in 1 Styling treatment was next up in my hair care sample stash so I used it thinking it would be nothing special. Wow, I can actually run my fingers through my hair! Brushing after blow drying was not that awful (still some snags)... What do you ladies think? Is this a one time thing that's working because it's a new product, or is it really this good and have I found a HG product? I only have one sample pack of it so i'm going to use it sparingly and try to make it last so I can form a better opinion for myself, but I really would like to know what opinions you ladies who use this product have!!!!! Thanks
Hello Beautiful Ladies! I am a naturally curly girl; I would guess my hair type is 3c and I have just recently started using Deva Curl products which have done wonders for my curls, however, my problem area is still the scalp where I have major frizziness. My process begins with generously applying the Conditioner in the shower, then gliding the light hold gel. Are there any recommended products to use (preferably within the Deva Curl product line) that could smooth out these frizzies around the scalp area without causing build-up?
I'm so glad to announce that my hair is finally 100% natural. It's been a very long journey to finally get to my original natural hair and I love it! But I have a little problem. I can't get the best results for my natural hair. What kind of shampoo and conditioner can I use that will give me the best results for a healthy looking hair without any chemicals or heavy texture feeling? I'm a very simple person. The truth is that the only two different brands that I have always use are Garnier and Herbal Essence. I realize that I need a change, a good change. My goal is to maintain very strong hair, healthy scalp and thick shinny hair. Can someone please help me? Any recommendations? Thanks.
I'm trying to figure out which new conditioner to buy. I have long and thick Asian hair that is sometime dry and unmanageable. Should I get the Bumble and Bumble Creme de Coco, a Living Proof Conditioner, or the Oribe Signature Conditioner?
OK, I did a search and it's been a while since we've played this particular game. If you're anything like me, you've suffered some bruised toes in the shower from too many hair products raining down on you. We've come clean on makeup, now it's time to share our hair product obsessions. Keeping it simple, list your favorite shampoo, conditioner, treatment, styling product, and hair tool. If you feel like adding more, go for it! Me: Shoulder-length wavy hair (fine, but lots of it) with some grays, non-treated, normal condition Shampoo: Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo Conditioner: Biosilk Silk Therapy Conditioner Treatment: Chi Infra Treatment ( Daily Thermal Protecting Treatment) Styling product: KMS Hair Stay gel Tool: BioIonic Powerlight Dryer (best darn cold-shot button I ever had)
I have thick, long, wavy mexican hair. I have not been able to find a product that I can us to elimate frizz after my hair drys. I like to wear it curly. When it is semi-dry it looks great but once it drys it looks like a puff ball. Any suggestions?
Hey Ladies, I was wondering do any of you use any hair growth products? I started using Lee stafford's Hair growth treatment. Says to use inbetween shampoo and conditioner while you shower. I used to have long hair, but I started dying it so much i had to cut it (T_T) . Im liking this treatment it smells pretty good! oh and yea i have a pink hoodie on and red shirt, not matching.. but i was younger there <_< dont laugh haha If any of you are using anything, would you mind sharing what and if its working for you Before After Treatment im using
I need help with product suggestions for my receding hairline. I was not considering supplements because I don't want to stimulate hair growth all over my body, just my scalp - particularly in the front as shown. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
My local Sephora has their Carols Daughter on sale (awesome!) and I was wondering why. I stopped in at Target and to my surprise they had it among their hair care products! The packaging is a little different. I'll be sad I won't be earning any BI points if they leave Sephora. But super glad I'll still be able to buy her products
So i just got a new haircut this weekend. The picture below is a picture of my hair before the haircut. the picture above is a picture of my hair after the haircut. What do you guys think of it? Also which look do you like better on me? Thanks, Sarah
I tried to find this type of discussion using search tool, but everything I came across is not what I'm looking for I'd like to invest in my shampoo and conditioner. At the moment I'm using these giant Coscto size and brand ones, but I got tired of them, and I think they don't do a very good job with my hair. My hair is oily, and I wash it every single day. Is it possible to find a shampoo that keeps your hair clean at least for 2 days? So, I'd like to know your favorite brands and products, and if Sephora doesn't sell it, where you buy them
My hair is super thick and curly with dry, split ends. I am been looking at the choices online but am not sure which one would be best for me. It usually takes me about an hour to straighten it and it gets oily a day or two after I straighten. I want something that can go on when its dry and I can straighten right away because I do not blow dry or straighten when its wet. I would prefer something that doesnt just protect but also leaves my hair smooth and without frizz. It seems like theres a lot of different options, please help!
My straightener or flat iron decided to go belly up this weekend while I was in the middle of straightening my hair for a WEDDING! Eeek! Apparently my hair looking flatteringly between wavy and straight, according to the BFF, so I lucked out. But now I need I new straightener! Enable away ladies! Trying to stay under $150!
im 20 now and I think it's about time I do something about this>.< so I have these small noticable hairs above my lip my only troubled area. For the longest I have wanted to removed that hair but I've been to scared to shave wax or thread. With my luck the hair will grow out thicker and that now what I need. I've pretty tired of the hair now and have started looking for places that have laser hair removal. I'm just scared that if I go with the laser hair removal I migh get scarring or darkening of the skin. I know everything has it's risks though. if I'm going to remove the hair I want to remove it for good and not have to worry about people noticing stubble because my hair is naturally very dark. have any of you ladies experienced laser hair removal? thoughts and opinions? I need them(: thanks!
recently I noticed my left hairline is less fuller than my right side (I use side hair since highschool), is there any recommendation to restore my hair? Looking here in sephora I found this http://www.sephora.com/phytopolleine-botanical-sca lp-treatment-P6039?icid2=Phyto_Thinning_Hair_Carou ... Have you guys tried that treatment? do you have other suggestions?
I haven't cut my hair for 2 years, and no it's not crazy long, in fact I believe it's stopped growing as a result of the damaged ends. My hair is a few inches past my shoulders, curly, frizzy, and thin... how did I get so lucky?! Anyways, I think I have some sort of phobia when it comes to hair cuts. Everytime I come out of the salon I end up bawling my eyes out for days... The hair dresser insists on knowing what to do to make my hair look full, layers here and there, adding low lights, blah blah blah, and I've always hated it. As far as hair products go, I use Phyto's shampoo and conditioner for thin hair, and I pretty much use the entire Kendi Oil line by Alterna along with some of their Bamboo smooth products,. I also curl my hair with the Amika 4P curling iron from sephora, which creates more damage to my damaged hair. I think I'm ready for a trim... or a cut... but how should I do it? Layers? No layers? Is an inch too little? Should I do any treatments? You're help is sincerely appreciated! Thanks in advance!
My hair is course, thin, and dry with blonde highlights. It tends to have frizz and a little wave too, and my roots get oily. I tried a sample of Ojon oil and it was terrible...the smell was overwhelmingly awful (maybe the product had gone bad?? really it was that horrible) and it made my hair stringy until I washed it a few times in a row. Any suggestions for better hair treatments?
