I have seen many threads about dry shampoos and which are best for different scalp and hair type, but haven't found anything regarding thin, color treated, especially red hair.  If anyone has a recommendation I would love to hear it, including pointing me to an earlier conversation a missed.  Thanks for your time.

I am excited to announce our first ever Live Hair Consultation on BeautyTalk! Mark your calendars because this Wednesday, 3/22 from 10 am - 2 pm PST, the founders of IGK will be on BeautyTalk answering all of your hair questions.    This probably sounds similar to Live Chats and that's because it is. The difference is that Live Consultations are personalized to your hair and much longer than a Live Chat (FOUR hours). Because everyone's hair is different, we are encouraging participants to upload a photo of their hair along with their question. What we want is for you to feel like you're getting the (virtual) salon treatment so show them your hair and tell them about your hair type and hair goals for the best advice! The Founders of IGK are a group of four talented hairstylists who really know their stuff so they  can help you master your frizz, give tips on curling your hair or even give advice on the right cut for your face shape.      Be sure to follow the link below this Wednesday, 3/22! We'll be live from 10 am - 12 pm PST:  http://community.sephora.com/t5/Ask-The-Experts/Li ve-Hair-Consultation-with-IGK/m-p/2727916   See you there!

I've just recently cut my hair for random reasons, and I've added a little touch of grey to it, which I really liked, I want to do the whole thing a greyish tone, or maybe a light lavender grey tone. Yes, or no?

So I see tutorials on how to create gorgeous high ponytails with volume. I can not seem to master this.  When I pin the poof it always falls flat within seconds and the ponytail always sinks down and doesn't stay high.  Any advice?  I've seen stylist videos where they use this tool where it's like a hair band with bobby pins on the side. I'm so curious about this.    Thanks in advance

Just an FYI for curly hair girlies. They have curl bars popping up in many places that specialize with curls and help you figure out the right hair cut, tools!

I had two balayage treatments 4 months apart and my hair has been breaking at the mid shaft since then.  My hair is fine and straight and my hair was lightened with bleach. I rarely use heat styling and use a UV protectant spray and Marrakesh oil after showering. I shampoo/condition every 2-3 days with Joico's KPak Colour Therapy shampoo and conditioner.  I need advice on a leave in conditioner or other treatment to help my hair stop breaking!    Thanks!

am planning to get hair lace wig since i have light hair and i want long curly look, for daily use for long duration. what is your recommendation? is it safe? does it affect my real hair? also can i swim in it? which ones/sites you recommend?

I'm total virgin when it comes to dye, I also have very long (aka old) hair.  I've ordered the DryBar Blonde Ale shampoo and conditioner to fight brassiness from creeping in.  Does anyone have suggestions for other products that would be helpful?   Im fair and cool toned with blue eyes and naturally brunette; what make up might compliment my new look?

I LOVED Wen, but I see Sephora no longer carries it.  Is there a replacement for it that works like it does?  I have never been as happy with my hair as I have been with Wen, so I'd love to find something very similar.

And tbh, what is this mist anyways? Is it like a conditioning spray...?

Hi,   I switched from Kerastase to Living Proof about 2 years ago.  At this time I was dying my hair red.  Living Proof has been great for my hair.  No split ends, etc.  Last year I started going really gray so you guessed it - I'm dying my hair blonde.  I know going blonde is harsher on my hair and I'm having flyaway and frizz issues.  My hair is naturally wavy.  I've been reading on Moroccan oil and it seems to be a miracle product.  Would Moroccan oil work for me? I really need something to cut down on my frizz - what would you recommend.  Preferably sulfate free.   Thanks,

I like to wear my hair down with half upbraids but they barely ever work out. Are there any suggested hairstyles that I could do in 10 minutes or less?    P.S. 1 or 2 braids will not work because I have layered hair.

Do the Invisibobble hair ties leave dents in anyone else's hair?  I bought them to try them but they seem to leave dents in my hair!  I don't know if it's just the way my hair is or if I'm not using them right, but they leave dents in my hair.

One of my friends is considering straightening her long hair. She prefers DIY methods. I have researched in google and saw Matrix Opti.care helps to keep hair smooth and straight. Is there anything she should consider before getting straight hair?

I've been natural forever but up until a few years ago struggled with excessive straightening. Now I usually only straighten my hair November- April. After my previous flat iron my hair will not curl. I've tried DIY masks and deep conditioners. Nothing is working. I refuse to big chop has anyone else ever experienced this after just one flat iron? I was using a new flat iron the NUME I can't remember which one I gave it away after this experience.

I started using DevaCurl No Poo and One Condition in early January and used it until about a week ago. My hair was gorgeous but I wasn't able to get my hair really clean and developed some crazy dandruff which I've NEVER had a problem with before. I also noticed that I was shedding more hair than I was used to and that my hair seemed to be thinning a little. The shedding seem to get worse and that is the main reason that I stopped using it. When I switched back to Ogx coconut curls I was no longer shedding like crazy. Has anyone else had either of these issues while on these products?

For some reason I can't ask a question on the product page. Does anyone know if the Bumble & Bumble Surf Foam has thermal protectant for my hair? It seems like it would since it is a blow drying product, but the page doesn't explicitly say so. Thanks.

I recently purchased the Drybar "big blowout bundle." From what I can see from the pictures on the Sephora website, Bio Ionic makes, the Drybar blow dryers, as their names is printed on the side. However when I received mine, I don't see the name "Bio Ionic," on it. Do they no longer make Drybar's blow dryers?

HI all, I have wavy hair that is also fine (not coarse at all) and there is a lot of it total. My issue is that it gets frizzy and out of control but all the curl or wavy hair products I have used make it look and feel dirty.  So far I have tried curl diva- dirty feeling, and big sexy hair- frizzy from Sephora.  Do people have any other options?  I would like for it to feel and look clean but not like I just rolled out of bed.  I currently don't blow dry, just finger comb and go.  I also wash every three days.    Thanks!

hey guys, so i was talking to my dad and he's been trying to get more hair regrowth. he always had a full head of hair (he's why my mane is so lustrous lmao) even after chemo a while back, but he still wanted to try to get more regrowth if he could. the only thing is that he's the opposite of me and wants to keep things natural with no "chemicals". are there any products anyone could recommend that won't scare him off by sounding too sciencey? lol. even stuff like hairbrushes would be great.  i've never needed to delve into the world of hair growth because i've always had too much of it tbh .
Hair
Hi,    I have extremely thick, dry and naturally curly hair that literally looks like Hagrid from Harry Potter if I don't style it correctly.  I have been trying to grow out my hair so I have been using the Mane n Tail shampoo for about a year and  I think I have developed an allergy and have been getting a really bad rash on my neck.  I am looking for a hair product that is hydrating for curly, damaged hair.  I usually wear it straight because it is extremely hard to manage when it is curly and it hates any kinds of blow dryers so in the winter it is almost never straight.  Does anyone have any recommendations
Hair
I have wavy, curly hair.  The sides of my hair seem to hold curl much better than the back of my hair.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could get the back of my hair to stay curly?
Hair
I want to be able to style my hair in updos and braids and things like that, but I it's so hard for me. I have layered hair so I don't want pieces sticking out every which way if I do normal braids. I also struggle with my curly frizz. I don't know what to wash it with or what to put in it to help it not curl so badly and to keep the frizz to a minimum. If anyone has any ideas please let me know, thank you!

I have naturally wavy/slightly curly and very frizzy hair that tends to get oily at the roots. My usual routine at night is to shower right before bed and blow dry my hair straight (I shower my hair every other day and blow out my hair only on those days). Once I’m done, my hair feels fully dried, and looks frizz-free, but as of the last few months, I wake up to a very wavy frizzy mess and then I have to straighten it again which defeats the purpose of straightening it at night (to save time and not wake up others in the morning).   I don’t feel like I sweat much in my sleep, but I’m guessing that could possibly be a reason why this happens or maybe my hair isn’t fully dried even though it feels as it is. I almost always leave my hair down when I sleep and avoid putting it in an elastic because my roots tends to feel oily when I put it in a ponytail and I don’t want to leave an indention in my hair from the elastic. Sometimes I sleep with a clip in my hair, but that’s not always comfortable.   Any idea what I’m doing wrong, or what I can do to keep my hair straight and frizz-free overnight? Any tips or product suggestions would greatly be appreciated!

Is there synthetic tape-in hair extensions available? I have some ethical issue with the regular extensions and am even more so grossed out by the wearing some poor person's hair aspect :/
