I find myself constantly fustrated with my hair- it's an absaloute nightmare and I can't do anything with it! It's not curly or wavy but it's not really straight either- it has a few kinks/waves in it which look quite strange. It's incredibly thick and coarse and very dry as well as extremely frizzy and puffy. I get really stressed out putting it in a pony tail or bun because my hair just won't do as it's told and falls out and sticks out everywhere! I've tried so many high street anti-frizz products I've lost count, but none of them really seem to do anything to my hair- I'm under the impression that they're really aimed at people with finer hair than me who just have a few flyaways. I used to straighten my hair every day which was extremely hard work, and even though my hair is so thick and strong it could handle it, I've noticed that it's in slightly better condition in it's natural state. All I do with my hair nowerdays is just wash it, every 5 days or so, with whatever shampoo and conditioner my parents have bought and put a bit of coconut oil on the ends of it as it's drying (which does absaloutely nothing but it makes me feel better :') ). I let it dry naturally as it turns into a giant puff ball when hair dried. My hair would look really lovely and voluminous if I could just tame it; I'd love to put together a hair care routine suitable for my hair but I don't know where to start! I feel like it would be nice wavy, like it does have a few waves in it which can look nice on the right day. I'm also vegan so it would be great if the products reccomended could be cruelty free. Any ideas? I'm so sorry for babbling on, any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
So, I bleached my hair 1 week ago and I don't like the results. Now I want to dye my hair dark brown. When will it be ok for me to do this without it damaging my hair? Also because of the bleach my hair dried even more and I don't know what products to use. What will work for my hair? I just bought this product by Wella, it's a reconstructing mask. Will this help my hair? Thank you!
Help! No matter how long I brush or comb my hair for, there always seems to be one clump that just will not come apart. I recently got my hair thinned out at the salon due to this, and after she styled it, it seemed almost too thin, but after I washed it myself a few days later, it seemed no different from before. I've tried different shampoos and conditioners and products, but I can't seem to find anything that works for me. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I'm looking for the best kind of hair product for the wet hair look, as seen in Demi Lovato's "Cool for the Summer" video. I don't want to use something that will dry out my hair and leave it super stiff. I still want to be able to run my fingers through my hair. More info: Dyed hair, thin/medium, lob length
Hi! My name is Alison and I am thirteen years old. I currently have a layered haircut that falls a little past my shoulders and am looking to grow it. My hair is naturally wavy/curly, but with my haircut, it looks absolutely horrible ! I use the GHD Platinum hair straightener (love it, worth every penny), but I'm looking for a different shampoo to help straighten it more. I currently use L'oreal Straightening shampoo and conditioner, but is there another one that y'all would recommend? Thank you so much!
Anyone own the Drybar 3 day bender? I just bought it and can't for the life of me get it to work properly. My hair gets tangled on the bottom and it doesn't really leave my hair soft and lush. I really really want to like this product and I probably will go to Sephora and personally ask them to show me. I want to give it a chance. But I wanted to get some of your opinions for those who use it and if there's any tips on how to use it. There's not a lot of youtube videos about this product and the reviews are mostly good. I just need some tips on how to use this properly.
Hello everyone! I'm still new to this store and all that comes with it, but I have experienced a lot of different things for my hair problem. I have really oily hair and yet I also have dandruff like no tomorrow. I would like to see if I can't find something to help control both of these problems. I have tried a lot of different things in the past to help with the problems, but any long term use of items soon becomes ineffective. What would be recommended to use?
I got a keratin treatment done about 6 months ago and it seems to have ruined my hair. I've never had a problem with split ends or breakage before. how can i keep my hair from getting further damage? I've been looking at the living proof restore hair mask but I don't know...
Hi! I'm currently deciding between two Bumble and Bumble Blow Dry products. The first one is their Straight Blow Dry: http://www.sephora.com/straight-blow-dry-P297554?s kuId=1376318 The second one is their All Style Blow Dry: http://www.sephora.com/all-style-blow-dry-P391797? skuId=1668037 I have coarse hair that's on the frizzy side, and has been dyed (think thick/coarse asian hair) and was just wondering what you guys recommend. Thanks for the help!
Back in late October I cut off 9 inches of my hair to donate to cancer patients for new wigs (locks of love program). I'm happy that I did this but I want my hair to grow long again. Any suggestions or tips on how to get hair to grow faster? Help would be much appreciated . Thanks!
So I am naturally blonde but have been coloring my hair for two years a mahogany brunette. I know that washing your hair everyday is bad for it, however my hair looks so greasy the next day if I don't. My hair itself is very thick, medium length and is very healthy. I have asked my stylist for advice but she told me I should just keep doing what I'm doing.
hi I dyed my hair pink I don't know what I was thinking. It's patchy and does not look good. Should I crop it all off into a pixie so it grows back nicely or try to dye it a different color. I'm embarrassed to go out in public
This is my first time posting a question, I apologize in advance if I put it in the wrong section or someone has talked about this before (I couldn't find anything) please forgive me I just wondered what everyone's thoughts are on hair perfumes… have you used them? Do they damage your hair or make it dry or oily? Do they make your hair feel like kinda dirty or weighed down? Are they the same scent as the perfume line? Would they work on skin as well? I would very much appreciate any advice or experiences… thanks so much and have a lovely day
Hello, I have extremely thick hair. Its not oily and its not super dry either. But everyday, even right after brushing, the back section tangles up extremely bad. I just have to barely move my head and my hair is tangled up. Is there any products I can try to prevent the tangling? I can't stand having my hair cut short and its super annoying. Thanks.
I keep catching sniffs of my hair after using the Drybar Texas Tea volumizing shampoo/conditioner this morning and I LOVE IT! I need a more moisturizing conditioner, though (I have thick, dry, wavy hair & live in humid southeast TX). Anyone know of a 'heavier' (better?) conditioner that smells similar?
I'm black and I get my hair relaxed every 5 or 6 months and I don't wash my hair in between. But when I want to curl my hair and want it to hold I need to use hairspray but I cant because I'll just end up having to wash it out because it'll get sticky or matted and I can't do that. Is there anything out there that could help??
I bought this product before I decided to dye my black hair ombre and now I'm reading all the labels to my hair products. Sephora and Living Proof's websites say this product is safe for color-treated hair, but I saw this ingredient: C10-40 Isoalkylamidopropylethyldimonium Ethosulfate First of all, what a word. Secondly, doesn't Ethosulfate sound like a sulfate? HELP! I've been using this product and I don't want to mess up my hair!
so i have thick and wavy hair and a pixy haircut.. there is only hair on the top of my head and i love that 1930's combed back, styled glossy/wet look. what is a product (preferably pomade or creme) that i can use to achieve this look?
So I am considering doing the upper lip wax... at the Benefit brow bar place. I'm naturally blonde so I have that peach fuzz all over my face, which isn't really noticeable but still slightly annoying in the upper lip area when I want to wear concealer there so I just avoid it. Anyways, I am worried if I wax there it will grow back thicker and more wiry. I've read this is a myth but about a year ago I was picking at spot on my chin where I had peach fuzz and tore some hairs out and now every so often I get a thicker darker hair growing in there that just seems to pop up overnight like some ninja beard. So I'm worried the same will happen with upper lip. Anyone have this experience?
Hi All, Within the past 6 months or so, I have noticed that when I round brush my hair, it doesn't hold the curl as well as it used to. I use a 2 inch round brush and have long hair, but I want bouncy curls like I used to get from round brushing. I'm not sure if maybe since my hair has gotten longer, it's too heavy to hold a curl from a round brush? I use a blow-dry spray, but if anyone else could recommend a product or a technique for getting my hair to hold a curl from a round brush blowout, I'd really appreciate it!
Hi, I was born with dead soft hair with no strength at all. I tried to tease my hair, hairspray, blow dry, perm and all sorts of crazy things in the past to put some volume in my hair and they never worked out. So I'm trying to look for a product that would help me. I look so weird with straight hair just sticking to my head/face because it's really unflattering. Any products/ideas?? :/
Which Drybar shampoo would be a good everyday shampoo? I bought the 'Happy Hour Blowout Shampoo' and it feels great in my hair (with conditioner of course). I want to order the value size from Sephora but i've heard that this shampoo should only be used once to twice a week....has anyone tried the other drybar shampoos for daily purposes? Thanks!!
