Hi all! I have a lot of fine hair that is color treated , usually flat ironed , washed every other day (it's naturally wavy and tends to get dried out) and thinning at the crown. I have been using Nioxin for a year now but I'm not sure I see results, so I'm wanting to try something new. I feel like all natural products could be the way to go. Unfortunately my thinning crown is due to genetics, so vitamins/supplements are not the answer. Does anyone have any good advice? I'm wondering if "Wen hair care by Chaz Dean", "Aveda", or "Living Proof" are good options. THANK YOU so much for any info!
Hey Ladies & Gents, My daughter is 5 years old and has long thick hair. I have a hard time brushing it sometimes cause it gets tangled!, Does anyone know of a good shampoo and conditioner that will help get tangles out? She has very very curly hair as well . She just got out the shower, hair is wet.
Hola! So, I'm dying to know everybody's beauty tips (or ideas!!) for longer healthier hair? Pills, shampoos, product, homemade remedies, style ideas (heard a ponytail is good for hair growth?) seriously, any idea would be helpful! Is there anything I could get at a salon to help out? Besides a trim... Just anything for me to try and get some long beautiful locks! Thanks!
Hey all! As I'm sure I've stated before, I have recently become a student again for the first time in a decade... it's great for my future, but horrible, HORRIBLE on my current financial situation. I am not able to afford a haircut right now, and my hair is doing some strange, strange things. No matter what I do ( clarifying shampoos, cowashing, kendi oil, deep conditioning ), the bottom half of my hair is a dried out mess, and my roots are flat as a board. Does anyone have some maintenance/styling tips for me until I can make it to the salon? I am becoming so sick of throwing my gross hair into a bun!
Hello Girls, I was out shopping, and ran into this stand they have at the malls! Its about straighteners, and of course the people were persistent to try out the straighteners! So I did ._. and was actually amazed by how good they were! Ive had it for about a week now! and its been straightening my hair really goood! better than the other straighteners I have! Its called Pretty Young Thing! I got the Rose leopard one! original price is $300 dollars but I got it $175 and they added in this hair serum called Herstyler, Smells sooo good. Ive used it couple of times, but it dont compare to my Chi silk infusion . Have any of you heard of this brand? Heres a picture of it
I need some advise bout Hair spray. I live in Az and it's starting to feel like summer already with the temp's in the high 80's and the spray's I have been using do not seem to hold a style in the humid weather. Any suggestion's?
I get confused! I hi lite and low lite my hair. It is fine. Daily wash and condition, blow dry and flat iron. What Shampoo and Conditioner do I use. My hair is not too dry; I use Argon Oil which helps in the dry desert climate I live in.
I wanted to try wen for a long time. I ordered just the individual bottle a while back and really liked it, so I thought I would order the set this time to try the other products. This time I don't seem to like it as well, and I noticed that the ingredients on my bottles are different. The ingredients listed on Sephora are the same for both, but still different than both of my bottles. Some of them I know are just in a different order, but doesn't that change a product too? Has anyone else noticed this and does anyone know why?
I was reading some article (it was in Shine I think) it listed a few beauty apps that would make you life easier, and one was an app called Glamsquad. Has anyone heard of it or used it?? Is it a new thing or has it been around a bit. I downloaded the app and basically the hairdressers come to you and do your hair, you pay online and they do everything else you just need to have wet hair when they show up they do blowouts and updo's and things like that. This sounds like a neat concept I suppose if you had an event you were going to and wanted a nice updo or some hairstyle you couldn't do yourself. What do ya'll think???
Poll time, guys and dolls! I am curious how often each of you wash your hair. Also... do you prefer washing it in the am before work, or in the pm before bed? I am NOT a morning person, so I definitely am an evening hair washer, and do so every 2-3 days, depending on certain factors. Ok, I want your feedback as well... and, GO!!!
I am looking for a new leave in conditioner that is good for curly/wavy hair. I currently use mixed chicks, but I find that it is too heavy. (I also use living proof prime style extender and argan oil in my hair after I wash it and I would like to continue using both things.) I need the conditioner to be super light-weight as my hair is weighed down very easily. My hair is also prone to frizz. What are some ones that are popular/good? For reference, I have type 2B hair (naturally curly). Thanks!
Hi! I'm dying my hair rose gold, and I'm having a hard time finding a shampoo/conditioner/treatments that won't fade the color. It's such a pretty color and I want to preserve it as much as I can! Does anyone know of any? Thanks for all your help
I have naturally thick, long, curly hair (which is color treated). I do use flat irons and blow dryers just bc I have not yet found a product to work on my hair. It seems at first the products do justice for my curls until my hair is completely dried. That's when the frizz occurs (and sometimes my curls even drop). I would love to wear my curls out more often. I have tried deva curl. Wasn't too fond of it. Miss Jessie's is okay along with some of Paul Mitchell's products. Is there anything out there though that can define, hold, and tame my curls? Suggestions please... :-/ Thanks in advance!
Does anyone use this? What are your thoughts?? I'm going through a sample phase right now and trying to use up all of my foil packets and samples and today I came across the Living Proof PHD 5 in 1 styling treatment. A little bit about my hair. It's Straight, thin, frizzy, damaged/colored, and I'm living in an area right now where the water is so hard that I can't even drink it after being brita filtered! Over the past 2 weeks it brings me to tears to comb/brush all of the knots out of my hair. It's so dry and damaged that once I do brush it and dry it I still can't even run my fingers through it. Cut to today, the Living Proof PHD 5 in 1 Styling treatment was next up in my hair care sample stash so I used it thinking it would be nothing special. Wow, I can actually run my fingers through my hair! Brushing after blow drying was not that awful (still some snags)... What do you ladies think? Is this a one time thing that's working because it's a new product, or is it really this good and have I found a HG product? I only have one sample pack of it so i'm going to use it sparingly and try to make it last so I can form a better opinion for myself, but I really would like to know what opinions you ladies who use this product have!!!!! Thanks
I've been noticing that I've been having flat hair...T.T I really want some volume up in here. I feel like that commercial singing "why you gotta be like that?" I'm having a fight in my head and it's either Pantene volume Shampoo & conditioner. I've had this product before when I really "poofed" up my hair, and it worked. Or should I try something different...like I've been thinking the Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo....what I really want is something to last a few days until my next shower. What should I use?...Or should I use something totally different?
Hi guys and gals! I've been thinking about trying to lighten my really dark brown Asian hair for the summer. I would probably go get highlights, but the 'rents both refuse to let me dye my hair (they think it's too pretty as it is now). But, I'm sick of the color! I've had it my whole life and I want to change it so badly. I've been researching products such as Sun In and other lightening agents, but I'm realizing all of these products have warnings for people with darker hair, saying that the product will lighten but will bring out more red tones. I was wondering if anyone has used hair lightening products before and can maybe give me some suggestions.
I need help with product suggestions for my receding hairline. I was not considering supplements because I don't want to stimulate hair growth all over my body, just my scalp - particularly in the front as shown. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Hey Ladies, I was wondering do any of you use any hair growth products? I started using Lee stafford's Hair growth treatment. Says to use inbetween shampoo and conditioner while you shower. My local Sephora has their Carols Daughter on sale (awesome!) and I was wondering why. I stopped in at Target and to my surprise they had it among their hair care products! The packaging is a little different. I'll be sad I won't be earning any BI points if they leave Sephora. But super glad I'll still be able to buy her products
So i just got a new haircut this weekend. The picture below is a picture of my hair before the haircut. the picture above is a picture of my hair after the haircut. What do you guys think of it? Also which look do you like better on me? Thanks, Sarah
I have thick, long, wavy mexican hair. I have not been able to find a product that I can us to elimate frizz after my hair drys. I like to wear it curly. When it is semi-dry it looks great but once it drys it looks like a puff ball. Any suggestions?
Hello Beautiful Ladies! I am a naturally curly girl; I would guess my hair type is 3c and I have just recently started using Deva Curl products which have done wonders for my curls, however, my problem area is still the scalp where I have major frizziness. My process begins with generously applying the Conditioner in the shower, then gliding the light hold gel. Are there any recommended products to use (preferably within the Deva Curl product line) that could smooth out these frizzies around the scalp area without causing build-up?
Hey girls, I have really curly hair that is dry and prone to frizz. I've tried lots of different serums and mousses but none seem to work can any of you help? Getting sick of wasting money on things that never do anything HELP! Thanks
