it's very hard to get my hair 100% straight, but i think that phyto phytodefrisant is the best. i wash my hair at night and put the balm in wet hair, then after i sleep on it, my hair is pretty sleek!

What i been doing is i would buy like fruit shampoo and conditioner. Fruit shampoo would make your hair healthier and more sleek. and right after your taking a hot shower. Run cold water down your hair. Cold water makes your hair nice, sleek, shiny and smotth. Ive been doing this for a pretty long time now. and i have shared this with my friends. and they do it all the time.

There is only one product I swear by that keeps my hair super straight: John Freida Frizz-Ease Smoothing Creme. I'm pretty sure you can find it at a drugstore, I got mine at Ulta. Basically what you do is you put it in your damp hair at night (if you take a shower at night) and then you blow dry your hair, or you can fall asleep with it damp. It straightens out any waves overnight (unless your hair is super curly) and when you wake up, all the frizz is gone and your hair is straighter. I find that I do still have to use a flat iron, but just to tame little flyaways. The frizz is almost always completely gone!!

Hope this helps, and I encourage you to try out the John Freida Frizz-Ease Smoothing Creme!!

One tip is to try and blowdry it straight. Divide your hair up into several, small, 2 inch sections, and using a paddle brush, go through and blow dry each section. Run the paddle brush through your hair with the blow dryer (on the cool setting to avoid frizz or flyaways) and press it up against the paddle brush. Hopesully that makes some sort of sense :smileyhappy:. After blowdying each section, quickly flat iron it, and soon enough your hair will b nice and sleek! If you type in "how to blowdry hair straight" in youtube, they have tons of great video results. The John Freida Frizz Ease Straight Fixation Smoothing Creme naturally helps straighten out hair if it is has light waves in it, and gets rid of all frizz. Also, if you use a leave in conditioner like the ones reccomended abov (the After Paty is amazing!!), it defintly helps alot with that.

Hope that this helps!

I have a lot of coarse, thick and wavy hair - this is my order of operations to get my hair super sleek when I'm feeling like it.

Wash hair at night. (I personally have never liked blow-drying and flat-ironing immediately after, regardless of how thick my hair is)

Spray Tresemme's Heat Tamer Spray (this is an ultimate favorite of mine, whether my hair is damp; to prep it, dry; to moisten it up a bit without making it frizzy or losing the style) on damp hair for prep.

Giovanni's FRIZZ BE GONE smoothing serum, just a dime-sized amount; I run it though my hair starting at the roots.

Morning time, products-wise; I spray more Heat Tamer, flat iron sections.

When I'm done flat-ironing, I use a little more of that Giovanni smoothing serum for that smooth shine (this stuff works even better before blow-drying hair, but I must add that less is definitely more... too much of this stuff and your hair is just covered in an oily residue instead of absorbing)

Then Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Finishing Cream. Not only does it smell great but that tiny little bit (and once again, if I'm barely using much then those with less coarse or less thick hair should use hardly any) keeps those fly-aways at bay.

Lastly, a quick spray of Garnier Fructis Ultra Strong (level 4) hairspray (the one with Bamboo on it).

May sound like a lot of products, but I don't use too much of any of them and they last for a long time.

Products aside, double-check your tools. Infrared heat will always yield better results, and ceramic, tourmaline tools as well.

I know it isn't a drugstore brand, and is a little pricey, but Moroccanoil is absolutely amazing! I have naturally wavy hair that tangles very easily, and the moroccanoil makes it super shiny and easy to brush through. Plus, it has an amazing smell. But, Aveeno's Nourish+Shine shampoo smells great and makes my hair very sleek and shiny. Good Luck! :smileywink:

Morrocanoil is AMAZING!

I have yet to pick myself up a bottle from the salon I go to.

If your hair has natural wave to it, you will probably need a flat iron to achieve the super sleek look you're going for. If your hair is naturally straight, try using a smoothing serum like Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream (http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P45408&categoryId=B70 -- this is the travel size for $9). Another great (and amazing smelling!) one is Bedhead After Party, which smoothes flyaways and adds shine. Honestly, though -- I have stick straight hair, and in my experience, the best way to achieve sleekness is through a flat iron -- products don't do it for me completely, but they can definitely contribute.
