Looking for pins not bobby pins
[ Edited ]

I see that Sephora does not currently sell the pins I am looking for.  I went to a nice salon and had my hair done in an updo a long time ago.  They didn't use bobby pins.  They used pins instead.  I found some pins at a store but they are too wide.  They were the Sta-Rite 100-1 3/4" & 2" black tipped hair pins.

I want something close to a bobby pin but not so closed between the two pieces of metal.

Pins for hair

Any ideas where to find the product in this picture?

Hi again jessica223344 - I'm not 100% sure I know what you mean, is the pin you're looking for something like 2 long wavy 'stems' , maybe a few inches long, with some kind of jewel or something on top? Or is it more like a long skinny U shape where the 2 prongs don't touch each other? Could you post a pcture of what you want? Don't feel bad if you can't, I can't either, I can't even find my camera!

You could call the salon and ask them what the name of the pins is, You could try to purchase directly through then, some salons will do that, but it will not doubt be more costly. See if they can help  you if nobody else can come up with any ideas for you. Good luck with this.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I have edited my orginal post with an included picture.  I was given the pin (in image) by the salon.  I only have a few of these.  I think they would be great for a summer updo/twist.

Hi jessica, I tried to send you 2 responses this way and got timed out both times, don't know why, I had just signed on and then re-signed on after the first time-out. I don't know if this will work, I'm going to send you a PM, okay. Very strange, I've sent some embarassingly long posts that went through with no problem, let's hope the PM works.

The good news.....I think I have found what you're looking for. (geez, just automatically sang that to the U2 song "I still haven't found what I'm lookin for"

Sephora's site (at the very least, Beauty Talk) logs you off on it's own. They said that it's to control site traffic. It was suggested that we type onto Microsoft Word or Notepad and then paste it onto the comment field. I hope that answers your question.
