Holding Hair Power

I live in a very windy place, so my hair is in a pony tail most of the time. I like doing the "bump" to add a little something, but can't seem to find a product that stays. Also since I live in Alaska I can't buy any product that is in a arousal can, so I have a even harder time finding the right hair product. Any help is welcomed

Hi zeli64,

You mean the aerosol cans can't be shipped? Unfortunately anything aerosol being shipped from our fulfillment center has to travel by ground and can't go by flight. Government safety precautions don't allow it, I'm sorry!

I also recommend the bumble and bumble sprays which are not aerosol and do have an amazing hold! The thickening hair spray definitely has a great hold and lift for those fun bumped up pony's!

Another favorite of mine is the Ouidad Styling Mist which keeps your hair soft and smooth

Yeah I like that ponytail bumpy look! Okay so I'd start by using a thickening spray on the section you want to create your bump, just to add some volume to that area. One I like and recommend is Bumble and Bumble thickening spray, which is a non-aerosol if i'm not mistaken.

Then I'd proceed by teasing that section of hair where you want to create that bump and feel free to use bobby pins when needed! Afterwards create your ponytail, tight it sufficiently well so it stays in place and add a non-aerosol spray that will promote volume and hold the style throughout the day. In this case, I also recommend Bumble and bumble's holding spray.

I'm also wondering why aerosols are banned in Alaska? Could it be because of the deterioration of the Ozone layer, which may affect this particular area more than others?

I do t have a solution for your problem without aerosol, however, I am wondering why aerosol is banned in Alaska?

I know this sounds silly, but Cheer Chics has a hair spray that has an amazing hold!

The line was developed for cheerleaders and dance competitions so it's made to withstand constant movement, extreme conditions (exercise, sweat, under hot lights, etc.). My friend and I had a sample of it and she used it on her curls, and WOW! I not only smelled great but it held her curls even through her sleep!

It didn't flake and get messy, and they even sell it in sample sizes if you want to give the product a trial run before committing to a full size.
