Hair routine for swimmers?
Some products I would recommend:
Joico K Pak Vero hair color, it's very conditioning, is infused with their K-Pak formula of infusing keratin and other proteins with the hair to strengthen, and is made to be used specifically with their developer. This can be purchased with a beauty license in select beauty retailers, or you can hunt it down online. Try seeing if a salon in your area has it available, if not, maybe see if you can have your hairdresser find the color/products to use, or see if your hairdresser will comply to using the product if you provide it.
Phytocitrus Restructuring Mask - Color-Treated Hair
It's a bit pricey but it's a great deep conditioner you use during the 2 weeks after coloring your hair, afterward, you can store it away and use a regular, color protecting conditioner.
Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three, it's made specifically to remove chorline and pool chemicals from your hair.
Redken Nature's Rescue Detox Shampoo, this can be your "normal/oil-remover" shampoo, as it uses more gentle ingredients to cleanse and doesn't have sulfates to strip hair of the oils it does need, but also uses marine extracts to infuse moisture back into hair.
Redken Color Extend line, I'm a huge fan of this color protection/peservation line, feel free to mix the conditioner from this line in with the Detox shampoo to get the oil cleansing and color protecting needs you want.
Another tip, try wearing a swim cap if you can while in the pool, and if that's not possible, as soon as you get out of the pool, wash with a big of the PM Shampoo Three and slather on a deep conditioning mask (Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle is a great drug store deep conditioner that doesn't have to break the bank while you load up on it) and letting it sit in your hair for an while to fend off the ill effects of chlorine and pool chemicals.
