I posted this as a question, now I am posting this as a conversation. Most of the people that replied to my post, put links to youtube in which people were literally doing curls with their hair straightener and another link was posted of youtube where it was hair crimping.
The link I posted (which is below) the girl is doing completely different waves/curls with her curling iron. I want to know how to do those EXACT SAME type of waves/curls but with my hair straightener.
This is the link I found....

Yes, it all depends on a the angle and the way you hold the curling iron/straightener. I am still learning as well. Any advice for two-pronged curling irons?

its al in the wrist
the method is exactly the same as curling ribbon with scissors
the angle at which you hold the hair and the degree at which you make the hair taught makes all the difference
some peoples hair likes to be curled one way on one side and the opposite on the other
you have to take all the natural movement of the hair into consideration or you will be left frustrated and uncurled
i will have a video up soon on this but if you can curl ribbon with scissors you can curl hair with a flat iron
and if you cant then practice makes perfect ![]()
works the best when you have very clean dry hair with no product in it prior

You would still use a flat iron just not as high up as what you got from people before....they may come out a bit tighter then you want at first but once you are done just run your fingers through gently to loosen the waves up. And most important make sure your iron is on high and ceramic tourmaline otherwise you will fry your hair.
Good Luck, it took me quite some time to get the hang of it.

You can still use your flat iron on the same heat level, you just use a different method. Here is the method you need to use step by step:
Step 1: Section your hair of course
Step 2: Take your flat iron and hold it like you would if you were straightening your hair but hold it slanted slightly vertical instead of completely horizontal.
Step 3: Clamp your hair and just spin your flat iron away from your face & pull down while doing so.
Step 4: Go rather quickly, but not to quickly
PS: Make sure the pieces of hair you curl are pretty thick (1 - 1/2 inches)
PSS: Also make sure you curl AWAY from your face with every curl or you will not get this look.
That should do the trick!
