Dry Splitting ends?

i recently went in to color my hair after many years of not, and the hairdresser bleached my ends for an ombre look, it came out good,

But, the downside i'm seeing now is that my ends are dry, frizzy, and just really frazzled looking. i was wondering if anyone knows a good repairing shampoo/conditioner set?

i was looking at bumble & bumble mending shampoo & conditioner, but any products are fine...any recommendations?

Thank you all very much! i ended up going with the Living Proof restore shampoo, i haven't tried it yet, but it seems really good, the girl with ombre hair helped me told me that she uses it everyday or every other day.

i also got the Phytocitrus color protect radience mask so thank you all very much :smileyhappy:

Re: Dry Splitting ends?

Check out this thread where I posted some brands/products to look into including temporary menders for split ends (drug store and high end brands) plus nourishing ingredients to keep an eye for.

In addition to the deep conditioning masks mentione,d Alterna's Caviar and Bamboo line is very strengthening, as is Joice's K Pak line, and Carol's Daughter's Monoi line!

I have the same exact issue with my hair... and I've tried a lot of different products, even B&B, and liked them. However, the shampoo I use is by H2O+, so not at Sephora.

HOWEVER, one product that I absolutely LOVE and swear by for damaged ends is by Phyto, called Phytokeratine Reparative Serum for Damaged Ends. (Apparently not at Sephora either, I got mine through Hautelook) Check it out:

I didn't like bumble and bumble that much when I tried that sample giving out by Sephora. Try Living Proof restore targeted repair cream and their shampoo and conditioner. They did a pretty good job nourishing/repairing my highlights.

Melissa's given you excellent advice! Whenever my ends get dry I always use oil to revive them from feeling like straw. I find that it's best to apply a little just before bed and then to wear my hair up for the night. In the morning my hair feels like new!

Also consider adding a hair mask to your washing routine at least once a week. I usually sleep in a mask and then rinse the product out in the morning. My favorite mask right now is Wen's Sweet Almond Mint Re Moist Intensive Hair Treatment.

Just put some of this all over your damp hair and slip on a disposable shower cap (kinda funny to sleep in I know). In the morning your hair will feel like silk.

Hi Annonymous1-

I know how you feel! I have my hair heavily highlighted and bleached. Try getting a trim in a few weeks to snip off the dead ends. Switch to a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner every few days.

Oil will be your best friend for those dry ends! Apply a it to the ends before styling:

You can't repair hair that is split. However you can improve the appearance of it. I would recommend Macadamia Natural Oil's Deep Repair Masque. You can find it at Ulta. If you want to try a sample before committing to full size product they have a sample packet for $4. It leaves my hair feeling like silk each and every time. Hope it helps!
