Considering Hair Extensions (Clip in or other)

[ Edited ]

I've been considering hair extensions for awhile because my hair doesn't grow past my shoulders. Does anyone have any tips or advice. I kinda want wavy extensions not straight ones.

I wanna get my hair to look like this:

Any brand tips or suggestions?

The Hair Do brand created by Jessica Simpson and her hair dresser is great. They are a lot more affordable than real human hair ones but look natural. I got mine at Ulta and I love it.

I agree especially if you are new to extensions the jessica simpson ones are easy to use and you can acheive the look you are going for but one word of advice if you purchase them online go to a store or order a sample card to be sure to get the right color

you know its not that hard to make your own. clip ins are expensive trust me i know i make my own with human hair from the beauty supply or online just get wig clips and thread and a needle and sew the clip to the weft of the hair. its really simple

The hair stylist that I used to go to did hair extensions.  She made them herself out of human hair and they clipped in and looked very natural.  I've never personally used them because they were too expensive for my budget.  But you may want to call around your area and see if any hair salons sell clip-in hair extensions made out of human hair.  I think the clip-in kind would be the way that I would go if I could afford it because you can place them wherever you want and re-use them over and over and over again.  The clip-in ones that are matched to your own hair and that are custom-made like the ones my hair stylist made can get pretty pricey, but if you're going to invest in some then I'd pay the extra to have them custom made for you so they really blend into your hair.

I hope this helps you. :smileyhappy:

I have purchased the Foxy Locks brand as well as the Luxy Hair Extensions. I purchased from Foxy Locks twice and each time it took about four weeks for the extensions to reach me due to customs etc... as they are shipped from England. I also think the Foxy Locks extensions (160 grams) are a bit heavy and can leave you with a headache...well they did to me anyway. The Luxy Hair extensions are considerably lighter (160 grams) and do not feel as heavy although they are the same weight in grams as the Foxy Locks extensions. The only con to the Luxy Hair extensions is that the threading that holds the clips together can loosen whicn in turn causes the clips to hang down. You can re-sow the clips back onto the weft yourself but for the price you pay for them, the company should really use a better sewing method. The Luxy Hair extensions reached me in less than a week. I also noticed that the Luxy Hair was of better quality.
