I was wondering if any of you have used the Body Shop tea tree oil in your hair, because it's supposed to help protect against split ends and keep it strong. I know that most people use it for their skin, but does anyone know if it can really help your hair? Thanks!

Hi alwaysalexandra. The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil is only suggested for blemishes because it's not pure tea tree oil.  The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil is a combination of three oils that would help to clear blemishes and may be too drying to your hair. Tea tree used in hair products provides antiseptic benefits. If you were interested in some great hair products that would help to prevent and treat split ends we recommend the following treatments:

Alterna Bamboo Smooth Kendi Oil Pure Treatment - http://bit.ly/gu8xLe

This double-duty formula can be used as both a deeply nourishing treatment that helps to repair split ends and environmental damage, and as a color protecting style primer. Made with strengthening organic bamboo and smoothing organic kendi oil, it banishes frizz and imparts intense shine while providing vital nutrients.

Bumble and Bumble Tonic Lotion - http://bit.ly/guqi5D

This product is formulated with a rich mix of vitamins, herbs, and tea tree oil that tames tangles, refreshes your head, feeds your hair, and soothes your scalp.

Amika Oil Treatment - http://bit.ly/eiaFuV

Enriched with Argan oil, Omega 7, and Vitamin C, the treatment deeply conditions and restores shine while providing UV protection from environmental and sun damage. The natural molecules in the formula penetrate the surface of the hair to get to the root, sealing split ends, improving shine and elasticity.
