Ok so the credit here goes to bombshell for starting the palette parade - I am just loving the idea of rotating a palette every week. Thanks girl!!! The same idea applies to my perfume stash as I looked and haven't touched some of them in quite some time. I have a rollerball drawer that some get pushed down to the bottom and never get love, so here is their chance! <3 So if you have a ton of scents and want to join in post your collection and put one up for starters! I am going to place mine beside my palette of the week so I will not cheat lol. I will post my list up in just a little bit. Weekends can be cheat days or you can do like I am and start in on my ever intimidating pile of sample vials.
My mom is absolutely in love with Chanel's Coco mademoiselle fragrance. I really want to buy it for her but the smallest size is over $60 and that is simply not something I can afford right now. So I was wondering if anyone has come across a fragrance that smells very similar to it? She is not someone who chases the most expensive brands, she is happy with simplicity.
Do any of you have a strong reaction, either for or against, celebrity fragrances? I don't know what it is, and it doesn't matter if I love the celebrity or despise them, I just can't wrap my head around it. I'm sure I am missing out on some great smelling scents as a result of this, and I know it is narrow-minded, but with so many fragrances out there to try, the whole celebrity thing just puts those at the bottom of my list. Are there any that you think are a must try? Sidebar: I was at my local TJ Maxx and I noticed they had TONS of celebrity fragrances available. It got me wondering if other retailers are just having too much difficulty moving them off the shelves.
Hey all, im trying to find a good perfume for my girlfriend. I was confused between Lady million and Nirvana Black/white. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Umm im not sure what details to give you guys so u can better decide but she really is mysterious and sensual and pretty and lives in BC (incase weather matters) and shes 20 years old. I'm going to get my first bottle of Jo Malone Fragrances. Which Jo Malone fragrance is on your must-have list? Please share! I narrowed down my choice to the following: Red Roses Nectarine Blossom & Honey Wild Bluebell English pear & Freesia Blackberry & Bay Also, any fragrance combining ideas? Thank you!
I'm one of those gals that are obsessed with fragrances and have about around 50 60 and still collecting...(if you want to call it that.) So I would like to know what are you wearing today? I'm wearing Obsession...(hahaha kinda fits this thread, doesn't it? )
I have way too many perfumes and I think the oldest is probably 6 years old. I still wear it from time to time but I wonder if perfume goes bad or expires. I keep them on a shelf in my closet away from direct sunlight and moisture. Have you ever had a perfume go bad on you? What's the oldest perfume you own?
I am not familiar with the CLEAN brand and I don't know if there are any lovers of the brand on Sephora. But I just wanted to give heads up that I went today and there was a 500 pt perk, it included 2 perfume one was in a pink bottle, the other in a blue and it had the matching lotions.
I was at a SiJCP yesterday and I found this perfume. When I worked at Claire's we sold a Hello Kitty perfume that smelled just like this! I haven't been able to find anything like it in years and pretty much everything is out of stock. Ulta has it, but I would rather purchase it at Sephora. Does anyone know?
Hi ladies. I hear people talk about doing fragrance swaps, and I was just wondering if anyone has done this and what boards do you use to post that you have something available of are seeking something in particular? Anyone have experience with this?
So Florabotanica is one of my most favorite perfumes ever, and now there is another Balenciaga garden fragrance! I just found it while browsing Nordstrom! Rosabotanica! Rosabotanica, the second rose in the enchanted garden. The fragrance unveils a fresher territory, with a sheer, enveloping second skin character. Olfactive: Floral; A bright and spicy rose The fragrance opens with crystalline floral accents of hyacinth and creamy green notes of fig leaf, refreshed by the natural green character of petitgrain. The experimental rose offers bright vegetal notes while sparkling, slightly bitter drops of grapefruit and fresh spicy notes of pink pepper and cardamom enhance its personality. The white, amber dry-down is cleared by a structure of vibrant and luminous white woods, made of cedar wood, vetiver and patchouli with clean woody notes. I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE.
So yesterday do to lack of coverage I got pulled to work cosmetics instead of pharmacy, well I had a customer looking for a fragrance that she saw on her coworkers desk. She described it as a tall clear maybe white bottle with the letters G W on it. We didn't have it but it has me curious to know what it is! Any ideas?
It was suggested that you store perfume in a drawer or cool dark place. The bottles are way too pretty to keep them hidden. I like to keep mine displayed on a glass tray near my makeup table. Am I shortening the shelf life?
I have my shopping list ready for 2/5-2/14 (yup, I'm splitting up my order into as many as I can before I get shut down !) Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Body Oil Tory Burch rollerball Atelier Cologne Travel Spray trio Hope there are some good promos and samples by then!
Hello ladies! I was thinking about perfumes and scents I really enjoy and was wondering what some of your favorite scents are! I'd love to hear what your thoughts are. I personally am a fan of perfumes with vanilla and citrusy notes. Florals I can find enjoyable too but sometimes they can be overpowering. Edit: Some people have been asking me what some of my favorite scents are. I don't really have a signature and find I switch it up, depending on the season and mood I'm in. I do like: -Clinique Happy -DKNY Be Delicious -G (from Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Girls line) -So This Is Love (Sephora's Cinderella line) -A Whole New World (Sephora's Jasmine line)
In the past when I'd shop at BBW I would always get the complete set of each scent (mist, lotion, gel, body cream, even the travel sizes) So do you ladies do the same with the higher end perfumes? Just wondering if it's worth spending money on all the extras or just use that money to buy more perfumes
I literally cannot stand when people talk about how perfumes react with their "body chemistry." This is a myth. You can search anywhere that this is a myth. You are not such a special butterfly that your "chemistry" will react with a perfume and make it smell different. It's not your "chemistry," it's *gasp* personal. taste. In 1921, Coco Chanel was introduced. Chanel was, and still to this day is, a brand in high regard. But in the 1920's, Coco got SO POPULAR that almost everybody seemed to be wearing it. Because Chanel wanted to keep some of it's mystique, they made up the "body chemistry" myth in order to entice customers, to convince them that the scent they smelled on everyone wouldn't smell the same on them so they should still buy it. Is it entirely false? No, there are very very very minute differences on how perfumes may react on certain people. Is it noticeable by the everyday nose? NO. Please look it up before you review perfumes and how it didn't react well with "your body chemistry." Just say you didn't like it.
I bought both Elizabeth and James Nirvana rollerballs. I used them twice and they seem almost empty. There's no way to tell for sure due to the opaque packaging. Do you think I should try to return them?
