In search of the perfect blush (true pink with sheen)
So I'm starting to understand why you ladies love blush!  I've been a beauty junkie for forever but have only recently been bitten by the blush bug.  I have a few I really love, but my all time favorite is Tarina Tarantino's blush in "Parasol." It has no glitter, but an absolutely stunning sheen to it - it's like a pearlescent glow but no sparkle.  It's wonderful - but it's a peachy pink, similar to NARS O r g a s m.   Ideally I'd really LOVE to find a true pink (light pink, deeper pink, or even bright, blue based pink) that has that same gorgeous sheen with NO glitter chunks.  I bought Kat Von D's "Love Song" because it looked like it would be perfect, but alas, it has fairly chunky glitter.   Does anyone know of a blush like the one I'm describing?

Paraben-free concealer comparable to UD's 24/7 concealer pencil
I was heartbroken to discover that my favorite of all favorite concealers contains parabens. Because of a recently discovered auto-immune disorder I've been having to overhaul my beauty products and eliminate toxins and harsh chemicals, and parabens are on the list of major offenders.   So I ask you, beauty insiders:   Is there a concealer pencil that you have tried or have heard of that is comparable to the Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil that does not contain parabens?

Translucent Powder Recommendation Needed!
Hi everyone!  I'm currently looking for a translucent powder to use for some shine control…I don't wear foundation, I'm just looking for something to minimize the shine left from my moisturizer and control some t-zone shine throughout the day. I'm currently using the BareMinerals touch up Ready veil and although it does a good job managing my shine, it is incredibly drying on my skin and it always LOOKS like I have powder on my skin, which is not a very good look. Any recommendations for a natural looking powder? Thanks in advance!

I swear, every bronzer I try is too orange or warm looking. I recently bought Becca Pressed Shimmer in Topaz and hated the orange glow it gave my face. Concealer basics?
Okay, I have a question about concealer. Do you use a different type of concealer for under eye circles than you would use for blemishes? I don't have terrible darkness under my eyes and I'm not too concerned with covering it up. But I do occasionally have blemishes just under my chin and I would like to cover them up.  I've been using Tarte's Amazonian Clay concealer because A) I love Tarte and B) it's what the MUA used during my makeover last month. But she used it under my eyes. She didn't actually use anything for the blemishes I had at the time.  TIA!

Impossible Holy Grail
So I've been on the hunt for a HG foundation since I got into makeup about 3 years ago. I've found tons of eyeshadows I love (I was a UD junkie for a while, but I've branched out into Too Faced, Smashbox, Nars, and I'm saving up money for the new Hourglass palettes), and found my HG concealer (Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, you are a blessing from the angels). I've tried about 80% of the mascaras on the market, and have fallen in love with a few of them (I don't think I'll ever find a HG mascara, because my standards are frankly way too high). But the one product I can never find a good match for is foundation. I'll find a product that will do nice things for a while, but after a few weeks of wear, it won't wear the same on my skin anymore. It'll start oxidizing, it won't build the same, or it'll look more orange than it used to. Things like that. To add to it, my skin tone is somehow wildly all over the place. I've done ColorIQ more times than I can count, and I've gotten a different number every time, ranging from 5R02 to 5Y06. I've thought I've found my HG foundation half a dozen times. Urban Decay Naked Skin, Nars Tinted Moisturizer, Nars Sheer Glow, Make Up For Ever HD Foundation, Hourglass Immaculate Mattifying Foundation, Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation, Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation, BareMinerals Ready Foundation... Feels like I've tried it all.   Does anyone else have a product they just can't find a HG for?

Foundation hack that Changed my life. Powder before Foundation.
I saw this on YouTube and it really did work. It's kind of weird though. Using loose powder before applying your liquid foundation. What you do is put on your moisturizer and.or primer as usual then you powder your face with loose powder, not pressed powder in a compact. It can be loose powder such as Nars Loose Setting Powder or even one that has color to it like Urban Decay Ultra Definition Loose Powder which is what I use. So you powder your face then apply your liquid foundation or BB cream. The powder gives the liquid something to stick to and holds your skin care in place underneath the foundation. I found that I use less foundation this way also. After the foundation you only need to powder again in you T zone. My foundation stays in place and doesn't slip and slide. Even not coming off so easily on shirts. I love this hack, it may not work for everyone but it's worth a try. Good luck!

MUFE Step 1 Skin Equalizers
"'As painters always start with a smooth, perfectly prepped canvas to ensure a perfect end result, makeup artists need unified, flawless even-textured skin as a the starting point for perfect makeup results every time. ' -Dany’s words.   Discover the first step of your complexion routine for a perfect result: STEP1 Skin EQUALIZER . Like a makeup booster, the new primers prepare the skin for a perfect complexion just like a painter prepares his canvas with a basecoat. STEP1 Skin EQUALIZER is an equalizer that can balance out every skin to provide perfect texture and the best possible base to apply foundation.   The new generation primer improves the skin texture with a lighting or transparency effect, without changing the carnation; it acts like a brightness modulator. The 6 formulas answer to 6 issues: shining, dehydration, dryness, redness, dilated pores and fine line, lack of radiance.   STEP1 Skin EQUALIZER is an entire range which allows tailor-made primers for each woman."     Has anyone tried these yet?  Looks like there's something for everyone.  I recently switched from my old Smashbox primer to Too Faced Primed and Poreless, and I feel like it just emphasizes my pores.  (Strange, because it gets such great reviews, but I swear they weren't this big when I used my old stuff.) I'm interested in the Smoothing Primer.  I'm sure by the time my No Buy is over, there will be plenty of reviews, but I'm curious now!

Primer- How long to wait after applying..
I'm always curious if I am applying my make-up the most effective way possible. Right now, I use Smashbox iconic photofinish primer (mostly because I have about 6 free tubes of it from random promos). I forgot to use it yesterday and my makeup by the end of the day looked patchy and cakey. I was surprised that this product actually does make a difference for me!    So question for y'all:  How long do you wait after applying face primer before putting on your foundation? I do it almost immediately and I am not sure if that is right or wrong

Kat Von D Lock it Foundation or MUFE Velvet? Dry skin?
Hello all! Recently I purchased the Kat Von D lock it foundation in shade light 42. I was so joyed to see, or I should say,I was so joyed at the lack of seeing a noticeable difference between my face's skin tone and my neck! Finally I had found a product that matched my pale skin! Now let me tell you, I am new to higher end make up, skin care, and liquid foundation. But I believe I have dry skin to combo skin. I've been washing my face rdaily with a mild cleanser, moisturizing, priming with the kat von d primer, exfoliating 2-3 a week with a damp towel, and making sure not to apply too much of the foundation on my face. (one pump, with a few extra dabs to red areas all while using a damp bb.) But for some reason, it still looks off. I've seen plenty and plenty of pictures of flawless complexions using this product, but mind doesn't compare. I've tried no primer underneath, I've tried primer underneath with foundation on top, I've tried primer underneath, foundation then powder, I've tried primer underneath, then mixing primer with the foundation. I really want to like it, but I'm wondering if I should try MUFE velvet foundation instead? I want a full coverage (Scarring and LOTS of red) matte, pale foundation, and bonus points for being long wearing! Please some opinions and advice!  Below is a picture of today of the Lock it foundation (and my attempt at learning how to eyeshadow.) mixed with the kat von d primer.

I'm currently in Canada where is cold an snowy, but will be getting married in St. Thomas, USVI. Or on days where my skin doesn't have many imperfections I only wear tarte BB tinted 12-hour primer with SPF 30.    I'm wanting some ideas so that my pictures look flawless and beautiful, especially in the sun since we are getting married on the beach!
