MJ Coconut Primer + KatVonD Lock-It Foundation (liquid) + bareMinerals bareSkin Sheer Sun Serum Bronzer. Yyaaahhhss!! Wow, what a difference the damp beauty blender (just bought my first one) & the Marc Jacobs primer made! Barely used any Lock-It. Treated the blender like a cushion compact applicator & just kept patting. The Lock-It foundation applied in such a lovely thin, even layer. So natural looking (but still had coverage). I applied the bareSkin bronzer serum also with the blender (barely damp) as a true bronzer just where sun would hit. So, so pretty!! Loved it!! I did use a pat or two of KatVD Lock-It powder foundation over 2 small patches of melasma on my chin, and Guerlain Les Violettes pressed powder to set undereyes, and to barely add a finish very sheerly in t-zone.
I'm a NW25 in MAC concealers and was recently matched to Light Warm in Urban Decay Naked Skin? Is this correct? If not is there anything I can do with it? Like contouring or something? If its that light. I don't know.
Hello! I checked out Hourglass after some suggestions here. In short, I love it! But my color match ended up tricky. I did Color IQ in store and came out 1y05 or 6. Some 06 looked slightly bit dark right now, but most everything in this range was a nice match. Except the Hourglass Nude 1.5 Veil, which had the finish and coverage I liked the most, but when trying it at home it kept getting unnaturally peachy for me, almost orange. I recently read that some vitamin c serums can cause color changes in foundation or BB cream. Does anyone have an experience with that? I'm wondering if the store makeover was so good because the serum was cleansed away before priming etc. Or does this brand oxidize a good bit, and I should adjust for that with a lighter shade? I know I can add a lighter powder to fix it, but I don't want to because it alters the dewy finish I love about this foundation. I do have some alternatives in Josie M's Vibrancy and Shiseido, but I'd like to know if I could make this work. Thanks!!
So we just recently did a full video review and demo of all 4 palettes in Anastasia's Cream Contour Cream Kit in Fair, Light, Medium, and Deep kit. We showcased it on 4 of us girls with different skin tones, so you can really get a sense which palette will work for your own skin tone. This is totally a newer reformulated version Cream Contour Kit than she first launched last year. I love it because it gives the skin a very soft sculpted glowy look to your skin! Let us know what you think or if you have any questions on the kits!
Hi! I'm looking for a blush that is a similar shade to Sephora's rose petal no. 08. I believe rose petal has been discontinued so even if it is a different brand if anyone knows of a product similar I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
I currently use Too Faced Born This Way in Vanilla foundation but want a more matte look. I want to purchase the Too Faced Coca Powder Foundation but I'm not sure which color would be the equivalent of the Vanilla? Anyone know? Thanks!
Hi ! I cannot try this foundation at the store because my sephora store doesn't carry the brand . I need help to chose the color, My skin IQ is 3y02, I am MUFE Ultra HD 117 and UD naked skin 2 and also Hourglass Illusion Ivory. Could you help me please?
Hello all, I was wondering if someone could help me. I am in the shade Light 45 in Kat von D's Lock It Tattoo Foundation. Can anyone tell me what Lock It Tattoo Concealer is the right shade for me? Thank you In advance!
Hi, I currently use the Tarte 12 hour amazonian clay foundation in Medium Honey. I recently purchased the Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer in Light-Medium Neutral (this is the shade the sephora sales lady told me to buy). I feel like this may be too light though. What would you typically recommend someone use with Medium Honey? And also when do I apply this concealer? I've always applied my concealer after my foundation. But when I do that with this concealer it leaves spots much lighter than my foundation where i apply it. Even when I try to blend
I am in need of a powder that has GOOD coverage but I do not like the ones that are powder and a foundation ALL in one...just want a good setting powder, with good coverage. Any help would be much appreciated:-)
I used the make up for ever foundation mat velvet+ in shade #40 Natural Beige - for medium-light skin with yellow undertones. And I used to use Bobbi Brown Skin foundation stick in shade 3-Beige. I would like to buy the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. Would you please help me to find the shade suitable for my skin? I am consider between shade #4 or 4.5 or 5? thank you!
I've been using the Diorskin Nude BB cream (in the 004 shade) for over a year. But when I went to the store to restock, they didn't carry the 004 shade anymore. And sure enough, I checked online (and at other retailers): no 004 shade is available. Instead I see 025 shade. Strange. It kinda looks like the same shade as before. Any ideas on what's happening?
I currently use the Dolce & Gabanna Perfect Reveal Foundation in Natural Beige, but was curious if Makeup Forever Ultra HD would be a better foundation to cover up some brown spots and uneven skin tones. If so, what would be the color equivalent to the D&G in Natural Beige?
Thinking of trying the new Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover foundation. Currently use MAC Studio F/X fluid NW30. Could use either a perfect match or, even better, a tiny bit (1 step) lighter, especially with spring and summer ahead. Can anyone help me?
I use the original YSL Teint Touche Eclat foundation, which is my HG foundation, and I'm almost out. The new formula is nothing like the original. The original gives me medium coverage and has a very dewy look, but not overly so to the point of looking unnatural. It's a water-based foundation and glides on effortlessly making my skin appear airbrushed. I'd love to find a replacement foundation that's similar if not the exact same formula. Do any of you have any suggestions?
HELLO EVERYONE , I am a young woman from Brooklyn Newyork, I been wearing foundation for over 3yrs and still struggle with finding the correct color to blend my skin with . Also I suffer with dark spots on my face near my chin and neck area . I would truly appreciate any make-up tips the beauty experts can give me . because i one day i would love to be able to do my own make-up so i can feel confident when i step outside and not misuse the make-uo i won already . I truly hope in the future Sephora company will sell more books on color correcting and applying foundation to difficult areas on a person face . I am a V.I.B member and i need some makeup tips from the make-up pro's themselves .
I found the color Alabaster from Clinique's Foundation + Concealer is perfect for me but this Foundation is too drying. I was thinking of ordering Shiseido's Radiant Lifting SPF 17 Foundation but I'm not sure what color to choose. I like to stay with neutral colored foundations.
I had been using "Clinque Even better Concealer-Porceline color", but they discontinued it. Is there a good concealer out there that is similar in texture & color? (use: acne spots/scars, under eyes, etc)
So I'm looking for a BB cream that will work well with my Combination skin type. I can get dry patches around my thinner skin (like my eyes) but then throughout the day my t-zone can get oily. Not like crazy oily but enough to cause a break out every now and again. I've tried la Roach-Posay Effaclar BB Blur and I really liked it except for the fact that it clung to my dry patches like crazy! Looking for a light-medium coverage bb that wont cause my face to produce too much oil but also will give me enough moisture to hide and help with my drier skin!
