So I was watching a youtube video of Vintageortacky and when I saw her Charlotte Tilbury blush, my jaw dropped. I had my eye on the YSL peachy one but .. this... just beats it, and can I say cute packaging? I wasn't going to jump on the CT bandwagon, but according to Cora this gives a nice natural peachy touch.. yep. This blush is called Ecstacy. And this one is the one Cora used called First Love.
Guys, my current foundation shades just aren't doing it for me, but my concealer is a great match. So I am looking for a foundation that is closer to my concealer shade. I am using MUFE Full Cover Concealer in #6 Ivory. I am open to any brand, any coverage, and finish. I just need that right color. So please feel free to suggest any foundation that is a match to my concealer. Thanks guys!
I'm under the impression that natural hair brushes work better for powder products and synthetics for liquid. I've been eyeing the RT blush brush? or the one that is shaped like a cone for bronzer application but I know that all RT brushes are made of synthetic hairs. Is my general rule concept mistaken or is it the quality of the brush that matters more?
Can you mix powder foundations like, MATTE Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 - Golden Medium (from BAREMINERALS), with water to make it a liquid foundation? It may be best to just buy liquid foundation but it does not sit well on my face! So I was just wondering if it were possible to turn the matte powder into a liquid, with water, and apply it with a brush? Thanks!
Hi, everyone I could really use some color match help. I'm currently living in Japan, so I can't really go into a Sephora myself and get color matched, however I can order from Sephora online and they'll ship to me here. Anyway, I would love to order the Too Faced Cocoa Powder Foundation. I have been using Mac Studio Fix in the color NC20 for years. I'd like to try this new foundation but am not really quite sure, which color. Is there anyone out there, who might be able to know which color would best suit me? Thanks, sincerely.
Please help! So, I have the tarte 12 hour foundation in medium tan and I am in love with it. I used to hate it because I bought the duel ended foundation brush (flat top and pointed) to apply it and it looked streaky.. but I now use the real techniques pointed foundation brush and I like how it looks like now. HOWEVER, everytime I wear this foundation I can see the bits of glitter or shimmer on my face. I tried blending it away and its still there...And its really noticeable when I'm in the sun! It's really embarrassing and my sister asked me why I wore glitter on my face. I want to know if any of you have had this problem or had and know how to sort of deal with it. I really love the coverage, consistency, and the overall look of it and want to use it up! I'm not sure if its the brush I'm using or whatever.. I do use a primer and I put a powder or it (either my benefit or rimmel stay matte or BM mineral veil) and it still looks shimmery.
My skin has been really good lately, so when I apply my ELDW foundation, i feel like it is a lot. So I switched to only applying the Smashbox CC in the center of my face. The only problem with that is it seems that my face is not a big fan of some ingredient in that. Does anyone have any product recommendations for me?
I'm looking for a good everyday foundation! I have pretty normal skin (not overly oily or dry in any places, really). Medium coverage is good, but I do want it to be pretty long wearing, because I'm a student and I work! I loved the Guerlain Lingerie De Peau foundation, but it really broke me out I would say my favorite foundation is Nars Sheer Glow, but I'm just looking to try something new! Any suggestions?
I was one of the Lucky BeautyTalker's who was gifted the New line on makeup by Perricone MD from Sephora. And i wanted to share my thought on it. For starters i am a Medium-Tan skintone, and i do have fairly dry skin. I have worn the products for 3 days now and i have a pretty good idea of how they are. Here is a picture of what i received. I was sent an extra No Foundation Foundation instead of the No Foundation Foundation Serum. So i kept the extra in the box. I won't be able to review the serum but i'm sure there will be others posting their reviews. No Foundation Foundation - I received both shades, And the second one is a good match for my skin, The first shade i can work with, I add a drop of the Bronzer and it's also a good color match. This is a runny liquid texture, and it is a sheer coverage. One layer definitely evens out my skin, covers redness, and is not detectable on my skin at all! Unfortunately i have a little hyper pigmentation right now, so i do need 2 layers. And with that second layer it bumps the coverage to medium, and still looks very natural on my skin. I think the 2 big things i don't like is the smell, But it's a personal preference, And it's a little sticky on the skin. I have been setting with a light powder but my nose got a little oily at the end of the day. So today i am trying it the MUFE setting powder. But i do overall like this. If you have relatively good skin with nothing major to cover up, this is a great product. It's so lightweight, and undetectable on the skin! Here is a picture of both foundations swatched, taken outside. (The one on top of Shade 2, Bottom is Shade 1) No Blush Blush - I'm in LOVE with this. It is a beautiful color. I apply this by dotting it on the back of my hand, and take a blush brush to carefully applying it to my cheeks. I can't use my fingers for cream/liquid blushed because i tend to go all over the place. But using a brush works for me. It blends like a dream! No Bronzer Bronzer - As i said already i mix this with the lighter foundation, and i also use this after foundation like i use my regular bronzer. Which is to contour lightly around the face. Like the blush, it blends so beautifully. And i can build it up with a second layer to get more color, and it's still such a natural look! No Concealer Concealer - I LOVE this. It's the perfect shade to really brighten up my eye area. I'm not a huge concealer Guru, I haven't used many for my Under eye area because i don't have dark circles. But i don't think i can go back to not using it! I see myself purchasing this when i run out! I feel like it is a very sheer coverage, so if you need a full coverage concealer, this might not be the one for you. No Lipstick Lipstick - Again, I LOVE this. I feel like i would purchase this when i'm out! I love the color, and it's very hydrating! I use a lot of sheer lipsticks/balms instead on lipstick lately, and i'm just in love. I've also tried patting a little of the blush on my lips and then applying this, and it's GORGEOUS. Here is a picture of all of them, taken outside. Left to Right- Lipstick, Bronzer, Blush, Concealer No Mascara Mascara - I think the wand it pretty neat, but i'm still very unsure how i like this. I think the problem is there is too much product on the wand, I think i need to wipe it off. I need to play around like it more. So if you have any tips on that please share! I don't know if this is going to help anyone, but hopefully the swatches might! Overall i really like the makeup. I think the main problem is the lack of shades. Hopefully Perricone will expand it, but if the color works for you, i think these are great products to try! My top recommendation is for the lipstick, and blush! They are gorgeous!
I see this product isn't on this site (yet?) but was wondering If anyone has tried it? Thoughts? I usually use smashbox photo finish hydrating primer but was wondering about this one since it's new and supposedly offers 24H hydration.
I am looking for a foundation that is going to feel light weight but give pretty good coverage. I dont really want to see the imperfections on my face and I definitely do not want to break out because my face can be sensitive. I do not want anything that is going to look cakey.. I want something that will give a more natural look. Also my face is a bit oily so I do not want a shiny face so probably more of a matte foundation. Of the 3, nars sheer matte, tarte, and BECCA, which one is best for me?
I have colour matched for R106 for foundation. What colour would you suggest for the new YSL Fusion foundation?? I am a 57 year old with dry skin . VIRouge member too!! But I would love a new foundation for fall. Thank you.
Hi I'm new here. I'm looking to start using a primer but I've never used that before. My skin is very oily and usually whithin 2-3 hours my foundation stops working. My face will start getting oily again. Or are there any other suggestions to help my makeup last longer and face less oily??
they have three different rose petal colors and they look like real rose petals the blush in itself is sheer but this is more of a collectors item of someone who really loves blush / makeup.Would be a cute gift to someone.
I love Benefit and its tints (for my cheeks, that is). They're not all created equally though. Yes, they are a beautiful collection of red, pink, orange and purple. While you can dot, dab or draw a line of Benetint, Cha Cha Tint and Posie tint and take a few seconds to rub them in, you must rub Lolli in very fast to prevent streaks. I suggest applying it one handed with the other hand up there right away to blend. You can also apply the tint to your finger and quickly rub it into your face. Forget brushes. With Lolli, there is no time. A customer asked my Benefit brow specialist about the tints today. When she did not know the answer, I filled the customer in. She told me I just sold her on the product and proceeded to buy it. Then, my Brow Specialist started asking me how to work the tints today. I thought if I can help a Benefit rep, others may have questions. She had only tried Lolli and had no clue the other three were easier to work with. Hopefully, other people who start with Lolli are not afraid to try the other three. Anyway, if you have questions about the tints, post them here. Someone will fill you in. If anyone is interested, I can provide swatches as well.
Hello Ladies of BT! I just bought myself a couple Becca products and when I was shopping around, I saw The One Perfecting Brush. I didn't buy it at the time. Now I have been flipping the internet and blogospheres for reviews because it seems like such an excellent concept. Especially for people who are traveling or for people who are in a hurry (busy mommy like me). Has any of you ladies used this brush? I would appreciate your reviews, good or bad! Thanks!
I have oily skin, but I am fond of the dewy glowing look! Not the oily shining look! I want to know exactly how I can create this look? I know I need to do strong oil control at skin care and base, so that I can use a dewy/glowy foundation. But I see on Korean girls, even before makeup their skin is SUPER glowing. How can I get that??? Please don't say the answer is highlight because their whole face is glowing! not only highlight points! And highlight is not necessarily glowing too! The main point is their face is glowy and dewy but not oily shine. I should look for a mattifying strong oil control primer and a glowing foundation. Any suggestion on this??? I will find a photo, I wasn't able to attach a photo here
I am so excited to try this! It's available on Dior's site now, any idea when we might see it on Sephora? "Inspired by the professional illuminating techniques and expertise of its makeup artists, Dior invents Diorskin Star, its 1st brightening foundation: a weightless fluid capable of recreating the spectacular and perfecting light of Dior's studios. - The complexion is instantly more luminous and visibly more even. A new generation of hollow silica beads captures and diffuses light in a correcting halo with no shine. At the same time, colour-filter pigments neutralize colour imbalances to recreate the perfect light. - The complexion is clarified with a purer, more dazzling and long-lasting light. Anti-"light-trap" skincare ingredients help reduce the appearance of dark areas, pigment spots and redness."
I love the YSL Touche Eclat foundation but I can't find the right color. I've tried Beige 10 (its to light) and Beige Dore 10 (slightly to dark that its noticeable even when well blended). Any suggestions? My best match is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light in 1.0. A lot of paler are people are wearing B30? Is it lighter than the ones I mentioned?
Hi! I would like a recomendation to choose a foundation for my wedding day! It will be taking place in the summer, so I need something to stick on my face but still look like myself. I have combination skin, and a little bit of redness. And im pretty sure it will be hot that day, so I dont want to be oily-shiny. Hope you can help me!! I was thinking about studio skin 15 hour wear foundation, but im not pretty sure! I linked a photo of myself so you can have an idea, I have make up on, and the other one with the pink t-shirt with no makeup at all HEEEELP!
I'm looking to lighten up my makeup bag and save time. I've always hated having to put on a liquid, then a concealer, and then powder, and so on so I'm looking for an all-in-one foundation that will even me out and cover up some redness that I have. I'm guessing that's what medium or full coverage foundations are for? Could really use some help on this!
So school is soon approaching and I am going to be starting my masters degree in Epidemiology (excited yet scared)! Anyways, I am certain that I am going to be very busy and will only be able to go to the gym between class breaks or before class starts. Other than that, I will be researching, with clients, or TAing. My question is, do you or should you go to the gym with makeup on? If you do, what do you do with your face afterwards? Obviously I do not want to reapply my makeup on a sweaty face and if I shower, I would have to start my whole skincare regime again followed by makeup (which takes quite a long time). In addition, I would be in a male locker room and could you imagine what those "gym jocks" would think if they saw me doing my routine ... oh please (I hate when people judge). Any tips, advice or suggestion would be great to hear! Definitely let me know, thank you so much in advance! Michael, xo
The Kat Von D Foundation only lists descriptions from the original shades, not the new crop. I have fair skin with yellow undertones, and the Light 45 is slightly too pale. On the yellow spectrum, which color is next? I've compared and peered and sampled, and I'm flummoxed.
