I really want to try the Bobbi Brown luminous faoundation. Unfortuantely not available in stores near me and it's not included in the color IQ. According to the Bobbi Brown website Alabaster is paler than porcelain. But on the sephora website porcelain is listed first. Does anyone know which is the paler shade? Im extremely pale (nars Siberia is too dark) and I've heard that alabaster is one of the palest shades availabale. Does anyone know? Thanks!
My biggest struggle is finding a foundation, tinted moiturizer and bb cream in my shade/ undertone(yellow). I was hoping someone would help me find a tinted moisturizer or bb cream that has yellow undertones. A lot of the times, they oxidize, and make me look orange or red. I have oily skin and as a reference, I wear shade 153 in MUFE HD foundation. And that color IQ system is somewhat helpful but is very limiting. I am sure that those cant possibly be the only foundations I can wear. So PLEASE help me!!!
Hey everyone, I recently purchased the NARS bronzer/blush duo in Orgasm/Laguna. I absolutely loveeee the colors! But I can't pick up any of the bronzer with my brush! I have no problem with the blush, I use my angled blush brush from bare minerals. However, with the bronzer side, i tried using my small powder brush from sephora collection (the one that was part of the black friday deals, sparkly pink handle, it was part of a three pack) and it barely picked up any product. Then I decided to try using my bare minerals flawless application face brush (I didn't think it would work, but I figured I'd try because I didn't have another brush to use). Can anyone suggest a brush I should be using? If anyone uses the Nars bronzer, what do you use? Thank you!!!
I'm interested in getting the Lock It Tattoo Foundation, but I'm not sure which color i should purchase. For Reference these are my current foundation colors: Laura Mercier Silk Creme in Cream Ivory Laura Mercier Creme Smooth in Warm Ivory MAC Studio Sculpt in NC15 MAC Mineralize (compact) in NC15 MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC15
So I still haven't spent the $50 to get $20 off. Ive bought smaller items but for some reason I haven't been able to find the right item for this deal. I think it's comical because I don't seem to have a problem with spending money at sephora… I just want to feel like Im getting a deal on a really good item. (I don't want to waste it). Anyone else out there still have their $20 off $50?
I've been using Neutrogena make-up wipes and then I scrub my face with a cleanser. However, on days that I wear heavier make up I feel like I'm not getting it all off! It feels like the wipes remove some of it but then spread it around. Any suggestions?
I can't stand the flash back of MUFE HD anymore. I use it VERY sparingly, but still I get the flashback, and I don't think it is the SPF in my foundation. What setting powders does everyone else use? I'm looking for something that gives a good finish, controls oil, and of course, is better catered to photography. Thank you loves!
I have a very odd shaped face. My face is about as long as it is wide, My cheeks and forehead are the same width, but my jaw is skinny than the rest of my face. As far as I have tried, contouring my not-present cheek bone just won't work, any advice?
I am very fair skinned. I have blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin. Is there any possible way for me to ever wear bronzer without looking totally orange/fake? Any recommendations on a good one for my skin? Thanks!
So, I use foundation or a tinted moisturizer maybe two or three times a week, four all depending on what's going on that week [or if I'm doing blog stuff]. When I use them though, I lose the natural highlight I have in my face and it's just..weird [to me at least because my face is now darker]. So I was wondering what product would be good to add some light to my face. I'm a 1R13 in the color IQ system. Thank you!
I am looking and looking and I am about to give up! I need a contour shade that is brown-gray, maybe a mushroomy type or taupe shade. It can be any type of powder as long as it is matte and can be purchased at Sephora. I am not interested in bronzers, those will not work for contouring. Thanks everyone!
I cannot figure out which item to buy. I don't NEED either of them but I want to treat myself for finishing another semester of school. It's between a Nars blush (Exhibit A) and YSL Rogue Volupte Shine (Rose Infinite). I've always wanted a YSL lipstick but I also want a red blush. Help!
I am looking for a foundation for dry skin, very pink undertones, fair toned. I really need a good medium coverage to hide my strong pink undertones. I also don't like the matte finish as it always looks unnatural on me. I tried Lingerie de Peau, but I am unsure if it will be good for me in the winter. I also have the Nars Radiant TM( shade Finland), but it's definitely not enough coverage for me. Any recommendations please?
Hey! So I'm in need of a very good foundation, that i wouldn't need a primer with. My skin drys out a lot during the winter and i don't have bad acne, but i do have black heads on my nose. I'm slightly fair skinned. My skin can be sensitive so i need a type that won't cause breakouts or dry it out even more. I plan on shopping in store so when talking to a salesperson should i tell them certain things? Price limit about 35, and id like something that lasts a while and i have a problem finding the right shade, is there a way they could help me? (going to crossgates mall) Thanks!
I am being seduced by the cheek and bronzer brushes by Tom Ford, but each is so bleepin' expensive I'm not sure I could justify the price. Then again, I'm looking for the dreamiest, softest blush brush and all-over face powder brush. Are these what I'm looking for? If not, which one(s) do you prefer?
...and the perfect blush application method! I'm sorry for starting so many threads recently...well, I'm sorry I'm not sorry There are just so many opinions that I'd like to know about! Anyway, I currently use Kevyn Aucoin The Creamy Glow n Très Belle, and I apply it with a beautyblender. It seems that here on BT, many favor four brands, in no particular order: Nars, Tarte, Benefit, Dior. Here's the application/look I'm going for: What's your take/recommendation? Thank you! <3
I am looking for a shade recommendation for NARS Blush. In NARS Sheer Matter foundation I wear "Fiji," so I have a fairly light skin tone. I want something I can wear pretty much on any normal day to work and school (I'm in a conservative field - law - so being too flashy isn't really an option for daytime). Any recommendations would be much appreciated! Thanks! xoxo.
I saw a post on here a couple of days ago featuring the Anastasia of Beverly Hills upcoming contouring kit. I really want to try contouring...can anyone recommend a good kit that's available for this? Skin tone is medium. Thanks!
I am going to sephora with my $20 off today, and want to get one of the Hourglass light powders. Which one do you think I should get? I can only get one, so I want your opinions! I already have dim light and love it! i am 115 in MUFE liquid foundation, so slight pink undertone and very pale!
Hi All, I've always wanted to try my hand at contouring but I haven't yet because I don't believe I have the right products or techniques to do it well. I've looked at guides before but I can't really envision it just by reading about it, and in videos everyone seems to do it a bit differently so I'm not sure what to try. Any advice on techniques (in the form of video, or photo tutorials would be really be appreciated) or products that worked for you would be great!!!
Ok so i need help with foundation. I have tried multiple brands and multiple stores and can not find the right shade to match. I have tried Dillards, Belks, multiple drug stores and Sephora. At Sephora I have even done the Color IQ and nothing matches. Inside my foundation looks flawless, but as soon as I go outside my face is a completely different color than my neck. To deal with that I just bring my foundation all the way down my neck and blend it into my chest. However, I am tired of doing that and feel that there has to be a better way. Any tips, tricks or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for all your help!
