Best drugstore foundation? Mi
might seem a little weird to post a drugstore makeup question on sephora.com but that's because i know that you're all experts here!     anyway, i'm 18 but never used foundation before since my skin has never given me any problems.  i want to start out with a drugstore brand since i still don't know if i will use it every day and don't want to put down the big bucks if it ends up being something i'll only use for special occasions.  plus i'm going to college and want to start finding less expensive products since i'm going to be paying for my own makeup next year.   i have fair combination skin, no acne but some redness.     thanks!

Tarte Amazonian clay fdn in light
Does anyone wear this in light? Can you possibly post your other fdns that are close to this or pics .  I have an auto delivery set coming from the Q. I changed it to light from medium but I think I may just end up selling it.  From what I remember it was too light and medium is too dark.        edit : the liquid fdn.

Waterproof/ Sweatproof/transfer resistant foundation?
Hey guys and gals! As some of you know I am a Caribbean girl and for the first time ever I will be participating in Carnival!! So I already am confident with the makeup I need EXCEPT for foundation (concealer options will be welcome as well). You see I will be playing mas (wearing a costume and dancing) and I need some ideas on a foundation that will last all day in the SUN, humidity, possible rain, the occasional swipe of a towel AND of course, SWEAT. It does not have to have SPF in it as I will be taking care of that with my skin-care. I have normal/oily skin and I wear MAC NW43 or Make Up Forever HD #175. For the record, I am looking at the Cinema Secrets Palettes so it does not have to be from Sephora. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Long-wearing sheer foundation
Hi all! I've been looking for a long-wearing, sweat-proof foundation that has a sheer to medium coverage.  A lot of the longer wearing formulas have a cakey look to them.  I have combination skin (oily nose but dry forehead) and I'm having a hard time finding something that looks natural. I go golfing after work and I need to wear some foundation to even out my skin, but I don't want to look like I'm wearing a full face of makeup while golfing.  Thanks for your help!!

Pores and fine lines accentuated by foundation application
I have oily skin, although my current skincare regime is doing well to keep that under control.  My pores aren't all that noticeable until I apply foundation.  I have tried several primers (Hourglass Mineral Veil, Benefit Porefessional, Smashbox Dark spot correcting, tarte poreless, tarte brightening) but my fine lines and pores seem to become more noticeable when I apply foundation particularly on my cheeks and around my eyes.  I use a flat top brush and buff the foundation forward and in reverse as suggested by a gossmakeupartist video posted by another contributor. I don't wear makeup on a regular basis for that reason, but the 2 most recent foundations I've tried are Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24HR (love that it's transfer-free) and Hourglass Immaculate Liquid to Powder (really like the finish). Maybe I'm just too picky, any suggestions?

Kat von D lock it foundation compared to lorac natural performance--shade question light 42
hello! So I love lorac but the foundation doesn't last all day and it doesn't do amazingly at covering pimples. I tried kat von d in light 44 but it was too orangey and dark so I want to try light 42, but it claims to have pink undertones. I use Lorac NP1 and it's perfect but i think the undertones are more yellow than pink. If i use the kat von d in light 42 will it look really pink on my skin?

i went to the store other day and tried it of shade medium deep, it looked too dark that i look very bunt. i was thinking maybe i can try shade medium. the store didnt have the tester for that shade. Since the shade medium deep is too dark on me, i was hoping the medium shade might be the right choice. currently, the perfect shade for me 6.5 from UD weightless foundation. thank you for your opinion.

Which brush should I get?
Pro Visionary Modeling Foundation Brush #111   vs.   Cover FX Brush I need a brush that will work with cream foundation and I am torn between the Sephora one and the Cover FX Cream Foundation brush. How do the 2 compare?   I figure the Cover FX one will work with their cream foundation well (which is the one I am fixing to get) but it would be nice to have a more "universal" brush that will work with liquid foundation, which is normally what I get but apply with a sponge.   So how do the 2 compare? Can I get the Sephora one and expect the same level of application and look as with the Cover FX one? Thanks!

Need substitute for Sephora pressed mineral powder foundation that doesn't break me out!
I LOVED your pressed mineral powder foundation, but apparently it's discontinued. I was a D25. I tried your Sephora Collection Microsmooth Foundation Face Powder, but it made me completely break out in acne. Plus, I didn't like that it didn't come with an applicator pad. Friends have recommended the Makeup For Ever Duo Mat Powder Foundation or the Clinique Superpowder Double Face Makeup. I'm torn after reading both reviews. Any advice on which is least likely to cause a breakout and/or is more similar to the original Sephora pressed mineral powder foundation? Thanks!

I wanna try BB cream for the first time. I'm planning on using Tarte Beauty Balm SPF 20 in nude glow. I will be using this during the summer when I go to Taiwan, where it's SOOO hot. Issues with my NARS Sheer Glow Foundation...
I currently use Nars sheer glow foundation which I apply with a beauty blender. Before i apply however I moisturize my face and follow that by putting on a primer. My issue is that in certain areas like around my mouth, my chin area and other random places it looks like I have dry patches. Its not extreme but still it can be seen which is NO BUENO...do I maybe need a foundation that gives me more of a dewy finish? Or am i doing something wrong in my foundation routine?? Also not sure if anyone else is having this issue but after wearing the foundation for a couple hours my face starts to get shiny not oily but shiny is it just me? (I have combo skin and have never had issues with shine before)

Foundation for Oily, Troublesome Skin
Hey guys,   After finishing my container of Bare Mineral's matte foundation, I'm looking for a liquid alternative to give me more coverage.  My skin has been breaking out like crazy lately, so I'd like something to cover it up.  When I went into my local Sephora and described my skin type/asked for some samples, the saleswoman gave me one of Clinique Even Better and one of Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover.  I've tested both now, and my skin has eaten both of them.  After about three hours, my oil slick of a face breaks down the foundation into very unattractive clumps.  (And yes, I do use primer - Mary Kay's Oil Mattifier.)   I feel bad going back and asking for more samples without buying anything for the second time, so can you all recommend some products for me?  I'd like to buy something that's $45 or under, but I guess I'd go over if it were an incredible product.

What is a good primer & light to medium coverage foundation for combination skin?
I'm new at face makeup so I went to my local Sephora and asked for a recommendation for a good primer and foundation for combination skin. They recommended me to Benefit's The Porefessional and the Smashbox Healthy FX foundation w/ SPF 15. However, when I tried the products at home I knew that they were definitely not for me. The Porefessional made areas of my face dry and flaky! The Smashbox foundation was way too orange for me and that is strange because I have yellow undertones. It also does not set even when I apply setting powder. I heard the Victoria Secret's VS Pro Airbush FX Perfecting Primer w/ SPF 20 is great and is a good dupe for the famous Smashbox primers. Any opinions? My forehead tends to get oily over a couple of hours because I have bangs. My cheeks tend to be drier. Is there a good primer and foundation for me? I prefer buildable coverage more on the medium side.

ls What is the best foundation for a teenage girl?
I've been using BareMinerals since I was about thirteen or fourteen years old. I'm now seventeen. I loooove how lightweight BareMinerals is, but I don't like how shiny my face is at the end of the day. I've tried Matte, but I hate the texture, it's very clay-ish and drying. Not only that, but I am searching for something with better coverage, that doesn't look gross after six hours. Hourglass Kick- Immaculate Foundation

Ive been drooling over their products but since they dont carry them at my local JCP Sephora I have been gun shy about buying some (although I do have an Ambient Lighting powder in my cart atm).   I have 3 different colors of the Immaculate Foundation in my heart/wish list right now-    Shell - fair with neutral undertones     Ivory - fair to light with yellow undertones       Porcelain - very fair with yellow undertones       I feel like the online images really confuse me because some of them look darker or lighter/pinker than their descriptions.  Can someone please help me match my tone to Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation Mattifying Oil Free?   Other shades that match me well: MAC Mineralize Liquid Foundation NC20   UD Naked 2.0   Este Lauder DW Ecru (a tad light but I LOVE this foundation- a bit of blush & bronzer & it looks awesome!)   Thank you!
