No makeup. Actually.

I'm going to post a picture of me without makeup. Because hey, I love makeup, but I'm also working on embracing my face au naturel, too.

None of this "I'm not wearing makeup" when you're wearing a tinted moisturizer, brown mascara, and have a slight flush to your cheeks and lips. I'm talking no makeup AT ALL (No, not even clear lip balm).

This is me, about 10 minutes out of the shower.

Anyone else brave enough? Smiley Wink

Re: No makeup. Actually.

Looking good girl, even if you were sick!

Re: No makeup. Actually.

You're in luck! I couldn't even be bothered to fix up my hair or put my contacts on today! It was a 'Bake in the kitchen all day' kind of snow day.

You look great! You are one of the only people so far in this thread I know what look like even with the make up on from the what are you wearing thread. I think you look fantastic as is!

Re: No makeup. Actually.

feeling envious of your brows. I wish mine would grow out better.

And your lips are like the perfect color. And I think I have a pair of glasses similar to these.

Wow, thank you so much! For the longest time, I really thought my brows were too bushy, but I didn't know how to shape them or thin them out at all. Now I don't really pluck them much at all! Just some out of control hairs here and there every week or so. It's something I've grown to appreciate -- like my lips, I never really thought about it, but they're pretty pigmented despite being a little thin.

Next time, I'll pull out my blue glasses. If I take another pic with my glasses on! Smiley Happy

Re: No makeup. Actually.

Teach me how to take pretty pictures with glasses on!

Re: No makeup. Actually.

I think ladymeag covered the bases pretty well! I think she knows what she's doing better than I do. Natural light is best (you can see a glare in my glasses because my living room has like four windows on three different walls). Otherwise I just... snapped my iPhone, lol!

Re: No makeup. Actually.

Indirect natural light is key, that way your eyes aren't strained (creating the very flattering crazy-eye look) or forcing open against a squint from a bright light or creating glare from overhead lights. I can't take pictures with my glasses off for my life - I can't see well enough get the picture right.

Re: No makeup. Actually.

Ditto MlleCC, when I wear my glasses I look so crazy in pictures!

Re: No makeup. Actually.

Looking good as always! I have to wear glasses too, but usually refuse to in photographs unless it's a candid shot. Selfies though? I remooooove the specs!

Re: No makeup. Actually.

These are my really old glasses, too! I have a newer pair but they feel quite loose on my face, and when I handle cooking/a hot oven I just wear this ancient pair because they stay on better. I'd rather not lose my glasses in the oven or into a hot pan!

I feel ya, though. Whenever I go out of the house, I always wear my contacts. I want to emphasize my eyes, not hide them behind specs. Smiley Happy

Re: No makeup. Actually.

I would love to see a "show off your glasses/makeup look for glasses" thread! I avoid wearing mine out of the house because my eyes are super light sensitive and I always need sunglasses, and also because I feel I look silly in them haha.

Re: No makeup. Actually.

That's a great idea! Glasses are an interesting challenge when it comes to eye looks, and not all of us wear contacts... nor do we wear contacts all the time.

I need new ones, too. I think my prescription has changed, and these are really old, like three or four years now.

I would totally do the contacts thing too, but the sad thing is, my eyes are too bad to get contacts. I've tried, but they don't make them in my prescription. *cries for days* I have to get Lasik eventually, because I love doing my makeup, but my eyes are always hidden and it makes me so sad. I think it's half the reason I do a blog is so that I can show what I do on my eyes without having it hidden behind smelly old spectacles. *stomps around*

And your eyes are way too gorge to be hidden behind glasses for sure!

Re: No makeup. Actually.

To many snow days. It needs to be warm.

Ugh, I've been dreaming of flip-flops and the beach, so I hear you. Smiley Sad

Re: No makeup. Actually.

I know! After losing all the weight I did I think I could finally feel comfortable in a two piece so I want it to be that time lol. Smiley Tongue

Re: No makeup. Actually.

OMG! Congratulations on the weight loss! I lost a significant amount of weight almost three years ago, too, and I know how hard it is to get through it and keep it up! From your photos, you look great and healthy. Congrats, again!

And definitely enjoy your new body for bikini season. You deserve it!

Re: No makeup. Actually.

Girl, your hair is such a gorgeous color! And you have wonderful eyebrows. I wish mine were that amazing without using product. And I'll join in! Don't hate on me too much for me horrible brows! (Oh, and yes I'm just in a bra, sorry for the cleavage-y shot.) Smiley Very Happy
