hmm.. I was once in a similar position, I was that girl in HS who was called cake face cause I was going through that acne phase and all I wanted to do was cover it up! Well, I wasn't into make-up then so I used my sister's foundation(BIG MISTAKE) cause she was darker than me! So NOW that IM older and wiser and LEARNED from those mistakes, My favorite make-up is FOUNDATION and I've tried NUMEROUS lines to see which is best in shades and blendability, I noticed you don't like LM but have you tried cleaning your hands and blending it with your fingers? Most times using your own fingers is more efficient, I use her silk creme foundation (great coverage!) and if you want something you can apply with a stippling brush (Sigma F80 or REAL techniques stippling brush for $9.99 at ULTA-the best brush for the price) you can try NARS SHEER glow, I put the foundation on my face first than blend with the brush, OR If you want a nice powder, the BEST I've tried so far is CARGO Blu ray pressed powder.. TRY those you won't be disappointed.. GOOD LUCK!!!

Hi Toosheerforme,
I have acne scars myself and I know what you mean about wanting a full coverage foundation that looks natural. I have found that the Sephora Collection Perfecting Cover Foundation works really well. It will give you a full coverage finish that looks natural and is also oil free. I also like that it has a satin/dewy finish and comes in a wide variety of shades.

Another foundations that has a good full coverage is the DiorSkin Forever Flawless Perfection Wear Makeup. It easily glides onto the face and does not look heavy or cakey. One pump is enough for the entire face!

Anybody know if these foundations are also good for covering age spots/pores?

@aly8928, A medium to full coverage foundation should be great for covering age spots and should help with the pores too.

I second the recommendation for Make Up For Ever Matte Velvet + -- it's full coverage with great pigmentation, but not heavy or drying.

Shade finder is here, but be sure to test the shades in person, too -- this is just a helpful starting point: http://sephora.com/browse/brand_hierarchy.jhtml?br

Try MUFE Mat Velvet + Foundation. I love it. I also have combination skin, and it has full coverage.

I have combination skin with acne scars as well as an olive complexion that is very difficult to colour match. In terms of texture, coverage, longevity and believability (I don't know what else to call it lol.. how realistic it looks) and I have very happily settled with Nars Sheer Glow Foundation and Yves St Laurent ANTI-CERNES Multi-Action Concealear
