I NEEEEED A GOOD LIQUID CONCEALER.

(0) Hearts

I work 12 hour shifts at a hospital and I have yet to find a makeup that will last longer than 8 hours. I have oily skin, acne and uneven tone. I need something that will fix/cover my problems! any ideas?

MAC prolongwear concealer

Bobbi brown concealer plus setting powder

MUFE HD concealer

Always set your concealer with powder (try Laura Mercier's brightening powder)

good luck!

Re: I NEEEEED A GOOD LIQUID CONCEALER.

I have a large spot of dark pigmentation that I have been trying to conceal for a long time. I finally found the MAC Select Moisturecover, which worked really well! It stayed on the entire day and it doesn't cake when using it on large areas of skin. To make the concealer stay on longer, make sure to use it ON TOP of your liquid foundation, but UNDERNEATH your powder. By buffing a powder into your skin on top of the liquid concelear, it will give you more coverage and make it stay on longer. In addition, try investing in a good primer, like the Philosophy Present Clear Makeup.

Hope that this help! :smileyhappy:

Diorskin Nude, I was having problems with my concealer coming off right away, this is waterproof.  I apply and blend with a brush and good to go.  It worked well for me full days outside in the summer also.

I have extremely oily skin and manage to keep my makeup set all day by following a strict protocol.

1.  After washing, moisturize with Dermadoctors mattifying sunscreen while face is still slightly damp .

2.  Shower, making sure to wait 15 minues before applying makeup.

3.  Prime with MUFE's HD Microperfecting Primer

4.  Apply MUFE Full Cover Concealer to dark spots.

6.  Stipple MUFE Mat Velvet+ onto face with MAC 187 brush.

7.  Powder over areas that could potentially crease with Coastal Scent's silica powder.

Since my skin is oily, I do have to blot no matter what, but my face stays on.

Oily and/or acne-prone skin LOVES Bare Minerals Powder Foundation.  You'll be surprised at the amount of coverage in the foundation and the concealer.  But after you've used it for a while, your skin will be so much better, you won't need a lot of heavy concealer because there won't be nearly as much to conceal.  I don't care how oil free or "pure" a liquid foundation is, it will always exacerbate oily skin problems.

Make Up Forever's Liquid HD Foundation.

For foundation to stay, this is what I do (in steps) : )

1. Moisturize. I like Murad's skin perfecting cream that is great for oily/combo or acne prone skin.

2. Prime.I reallly like Make Up Forever's All Mat Primer. It primes the skin and sets your foundation giving you long lasting   coverage and a matte, no shine face

3. Foundation.  Two pumps of foundation on  the hand (like an artist's palette) : )   I dip and swirl my brush onto my hand and applyto my face. Then blend in with a sponge.

4.  To avoid that shine and to help increase the staying power, I like to take a kabuki brush and apply Make Up Forevers Microfinish Powder.  Once you apply that to your face, that foundation is with you all day, no budge, no coming off, no shine. Long lasting, looking the way it looks when you first apply in the AM.

Hope this helped :smileywink:

Benefit's Stay Don't Stray primer doubles as a primer for concealer or even a concealer if it works for your skin tone.

I looooooooooove this from Sephora brand and my sister who is a nurse swears by it :smileyhappy:

@Lovemakeu, I would for sure check out MUFE’s Full Cover Concealer. It’s full coverage, waterproof, and oil-free. I use it to cover blemishes and my skin looks flawless, even after riding my bike! It really lasts. :smileyhappy:

how about a GREAT one ? have you tried MUFE's HD invisible concealor? it's very pigmented (so you dont need a lot) and can be layered to get more coverage. if you are looking for a sheer application then you might want to consider applying it with a synthetic concealer brush and then setting it with a loose, finely milled translucent setting powder. good luck!

I recommend to try an oil free, matte concealer for the face (not eye area!), like this one from clinique....

For the face, liquid makeup from Makeup Forever......

Blotting Papers from Boscia, to take away oil break through, without disturbing makeup.
