Foundation for semi oily skin with dry spots, breaks out easily, help!

Re: Foundation for semi oily skin with dry spots, breaks out easily, help!

Hi, sadiedog!

While foundation formulas have come a long way, it's important to be sure you're doing all that you can prior to an application to ensure your makeup is applied to the best of its ability and thus able to withstand the elements and have longevity in its wear.

By chance do you wear a primer with your existing foundation, if so, which formula do you use? Are your skin care products/regimen working well together to control oil and moisturize dry spots?

Are you aware of what components you may be particularly reactive to that leads to breakouts?

Hi sadiedog,

Based on your skin type, I think the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick SPF 21 would be a great option for you. It provides a full coverage and glides easily onto the skin. Since you have some dry spots, I'd suggest exfoliating at least 1-2 times a week, moisturizing daily, and making sure to apply a face primer prior to your foundation application.

If you're not a fan of foundation sticks, another one I'd suggest trying out is the Dermablend Blurring Mousse Camo Foundation. This foundation provides a medium coverage, has a moussey texture that is easily blendable, and blurs any imperfections and blemishes!

I hope this helps Smiley Happy
